View Large Images ? ? Description Built by Ditchburn Boats of Lake Muskoka, Ontario, the 'Malolo' (Flying Fish in Hawaiian), was originally custom built for Casper Erholm of Lake Whatcom, WA in 1927. Ditchburn Boats were known as the Rolls Royce of boats at the time and were considered to be one of the premier speed boat and yacht builders in the world. They also built racing boats, twice winning the Gold Cup and the Harmsworth Trophy once. This fabulous example is thought to be one of only about two-dozen remaining worldwide, with the majority being restored and residing in eastern Canada. It was exceptionally fast for its day, going 28 miles per hour. It is powered by a Grey Marine four-90 Fireball racing engine and has Dual Carburettors and High Compression. It had to run on aviation fuel at that time. The Malolo's original owner, Casper Erholm, was the son of Charles Erholm, the 'Finnish Laundry King of Bellingham', who founded Pacific Steam Laundry in 1889. In 1921, Erholm's son Casper began his apprenticeship in the family business. One can only imagine the young and entitled playboy cruising in what may have been Lake Whatcom's fastest boat. The Malolo plied the waters of Lake Whatcom from 1927 to 1959, when it suffered hull damage from hitting a dead head. It went into storage and stayed there until 2005, when its stewardship was passed to the passionate master-crafters at Glen Cove Boatworks. The restoration was undertaken by craftsmen Richard Montag, Tom Walton and Terry Buzzard, along with assistance and advice from many others, including historians from the Lake Whatcom Motor Boat Club. With an eye toward keeping this very special and rare watercraft as near to original as possible, the team painstakingly restored 'Malolo'. The result is an absolutely stunning piece of American boat building history that is sure to impress even the snobbiest boaters. The engine refurbishment was entrusted to the legendary Hy Twiford. Hy starting working with his dad at the Cleveland Yacht Club in the family boat repair business, Twiford Marine Services. 1997 Silver King GRANDE MASTER 18LT 1997 Grande Master Silver King with brand new Magic Trail Dual axle trailer. Unfortunately moving forces sale to the west coast.original owner and invested 20,000 last season for a full restoration (documentation, invoices and warranty come with boat). custom built to my specs to improve fishing and make it unique. The boat has low hours, it was stored indoors and always treated well. It is a side console so that you have full deck space open for fishing or passengers. The entire deck had a non skid surface installed at time of build. The boat is 18' 9" and is a rare green gel coat color. Powered by a 175 horsepower Mercury with Merc Jack plate and new ignition to engine harness, all brand new mercury gauges, mercury throttle control, new mercury premium throttle cables and a new mercury tempest plus propellor. The boat will do over 60mph if you ask it to. It has a new 10 foot Power Pole blade installed. The boat was completely inspected and restored last season by original Silver King builder Mark Scott from Portside Customs who is well known in the community as one of the best boat builders and custom installer in the Tampa Bay area. In the restoration the entire boat was stripped and everything replaced and upgraded. The rub rail was replaced with polished stainless steel, all hinges were replaced with new design friction hinges so that they stay open in any position that you would like. The latches were replaced with locking stainless steel. All lighting was replaced with LED lights front, rear, deck and baitwell. Even the drain plug was replaced with stainless steel. The entire boat was rewired and rerigged with all new electric wires, switches, pumps batteries etc. Dual bilge pumps were set up for safety. Each pump is strong enough for a 30 foot boat. The live well was set up with a new pump and also recirculates and has a timer switch to have the well come on periodically. The boat has Bennett trim tabs with new adjustment switch and a new tab level display device was installed on the dash so you can see what position each tab is in. A brand new stainless steering wheel was installed along with stainless steel steering ball. The ignition is new including ignition cutoff switch, new jack plate switch. A new 2016 model Garmin Color GPS/depth finder/fish finder was installed. Custom aluminum triple rod holders were installed on each side of the console. A high water alarm is also installed as well as an electric horn. A new Lowrance emergency radio with AM/FM Radio is installed. I have both flat cushion seats and bucket seats for the boat. I have the front fishing platform for site casting. Lastly a custom made Sumbrella material cover is included with the boat. The boat was left with the shop for a week to custom cut and build the cover. The color matches the boat and includes covers for the boat trailer wheels. The boat was recently buffed and I have a new exterior

PENOBSCOT 14 Sailing (Spritsail) & Rowing Dingy DESCRIPTION Perfect for the sailor of any age and experience, this Penobscot 14 sailing (Spritsail) /rowing dingy is a complete package that will provide a lifetime of boating fun. As described below, everything you need to get her to and in the water is included from the simple to setup and easy to use traditional Spritsail rig to the lightweight trailer, trailer dolly, and over-the-road boat cover. She also comes equipped with two oars that have been handsomely stitched with leather chafe guards and bronze oar lock chocks. This Penobscot 14 has been carefully built by Bob Pauline, a long-time dedicated small wood boat builder. With the completion of this, his third hull, Bob has now reached his goal of building the Penobscot 14 in three traditional sailing rigs; Gunter, Lug and Spritsail, the boat listed here. Completed in early 2014, this boat has been in the water only twice for a shakedown and photography. With bronze fittings and seven coats of the best varnish; her interior, cap rail, breast hook, rudder and transom, along with her white epoxy painted hull, make a stunning sight and will turn heads wherever you take her. Solid select Cedar, and Poplar were used for the interior appointments, and she has a 7/8 inch Teak transom. The transom inboard has a leaping Orca whale marquetry. Leaping dolphins embellish each of the broad boards on the bow, and a brass inscribed builder’s plate is located on the aft edger of the breast hook. The hull is cold molded utilizing stainless steel fasteners and West system epoxy glue. Her planking is Meranti BS-1088 marine plywood that has been epoxy encapsulated resulting in a strong, durable, light weight and dry hull that will last for generations to come. If these materials and techniques would have been available to the boat builders of old, this is the way they would have done it. With the addition of lifting rings (not included) you can bring this Penobscot 14 dingy aboard your larger yacht. She would make a great sailing/rowing tender and also readily accommodate an outboard motor. THE HULL - PUT TOGETHER TO LAST Built steadfastly to the Arch Davis design, this vessel is reminiscent of traditional wood dinghies of the past Look more closely, however, and you will see the Penobscot incorporates many of the advantages of modern wood boat building. They include: Fore and aft stringers rather than bent frames - This allows for a strong and fair hull that is much easier to clean and refinish. Epoxy glued and stainless steel fastened planks throughout requiring no caulking or seam compound -This provides extremely strong, maintenance free and water tight joints throughout the boat. Marine grade tropical species plywood (Meranti BS1088) used for hull planking rather than solid wood planks - Because of its laminated and biased layering, marine plywood is stronger than solid wood planks and will not check, especially at the butts and scarfs. This results in a light weight but sturdy hull. Carefully constructed to provide longevity and ease of maintenance by an experienced, knowledgeable lover of traditional wooden craft, this Penobscot 14 is the third and last to be built by Bob Pauline. Big enough for a family crew of four, its curvaceous lap strake hull and handsome interior is accented with a solid Teak transom, breast hook and cap rail. The thwarts, knees, stern sheet, centerboard and trunk, as well as the forward and aft water-tight floatation compartments, are constructed of select Poplar in place of the specified plywood. There is a round water-tight deck plate mounted in the bulkhead of the forward and aft floatation compartment that can be removed to allow for ventilation and cleaning. The pivoting retractable centerboard is oak and encapsulated in epoxy. The removable rudder assembly consists of a kick up rudder blade of oak with a laminated Teak and Poplar removable tiller. It is mounted to the transom with heavy duty Bronze pintles and gudgeons. There are also a rowing station with a set of Bronze top flange oarlock sockets mounted in the backing blocks built into the cap rail. One set of Bronze horn oarlocks are provided as well as a set of Moose Point oars outfitted with stitched oar leathers and buttons. The entire hull, inside and out, is sealed with two applications of clear penetrating epoxy sealer. Two coats of epoxy white paint has been applied to the hull exterior with the interior receiving seven coats of high quality marine varnish that will keep the boat looking great for years to come. The hull planking was fastened with counter bored/counter sunk stainless steel screws and epoxy glued. The inner stem is sawed cedar and capped with multiple layers of laminated cedar set in epoxy and clamped in a jig to give the proper shape. The heavy duty keel is capped with a sacrificial cedar worm shoe bedded in 3M 5100 to allow replacement if damaged in a grounding or by marine worms commonly found in salt water. There are four clear finished Teak badge boards mounted on the shear strake fore and aft. The forward badge boards each have a leaping Dolphin marquetry. The hull dimensions are as follows: Length over all (L.O.A.) 14 feet Length at the Water Line (L.W.L.) 12 feet 8 inches Beam 4 feet 6.5 inches Draft Board Up 0 feet 7 inches Board Down 2 feet 6 inches Weight (fully rigged) 145 Pounds (approx) SPARS, & RIGGING With its simple, easy to handle traditional Spritsail rig, this Penobscot flies an ample 73 square feet of sail. The two thirds hollow mast is Douglas Fir. The Sprit yard is Sitka Spruce, and the sail is professionally made by Liberty. Everything you need to make the boat ready to sail or row is provided, including the main sheet, and eye spliced “snotter,” with block and halyard. It takes about five minutes to make the boat ready for a fun day on the water. BOAT TRAILER, TRAILER DOLLY AND OVER-THE- ROAD COVER A new Load Master highway capable boat trailer is included with a load capacity of 600 pounds. With its 154 inch length and 50 inch width it is perfectly suited to safely carry the Penobscot 14. It has two wheels with 4.80 X 8 tires and comes with a two inch coupler to fit a 1 7/8th inch ball (provided). The rear padded wood rail brackets have been altered to precisely fit the boat. Two web ratcheting straps with anti-chafe padding for where they cross over the cap rail are provided to secure the boat to the trailer and a heavy duty bungee cord is included for holding the boat stem to the forward roller rail of the trailer. A two piece arch wood frame is provided to support a heavy weight over-the-road Polyethylene boat cover. The numerous adjustable straps required to keep the cover snugly secure is also provided. The trailer is currently licensed in the state of Indiana. Also included is a portable trailer dolly that makes it much easier to launch or park the boat when it is not connected to the tow vehicle. Without doubt, the Hatteras 50/53 Motor Yacht is the most successful medium sized motor yacht ever built, with over 600 of them between their various incarnations. They were in production from 1965 to 1989, a full twenty-four years. This yachts enduring popularity comes from a combination of excellent quality, good design, and a great use of space. Power is sufficient for pleasure cruising with a pair of 8V71 Naturals. Whether as a summer home or a vacation getaway, this boat has been meticulously maintained and run every season. This boat runs as well as it looks. The hulls and superstructure are built like a tank with the bottoms about an inch thick with balsa cored sides and decks. These are first rate production motor yachts. Service requirements are relatively minor if the previous owner has kept up with maintenance. Virtually any yard can work on these boats and is familiar with them. That's the advantage of long-term production. With her 15'10" beam this is a big 50 footer and the layout takes maximum advantage of that space. Most people love the galley down layout with the dinette opposite which is great for informal meals. This will hold the car for you and you exclusively for up to 7 days while you gather your funds or finalize your financing. We will refuse any other offers on the vehicle and will begin preparing the vehicle and documents for your delivery. Any financing arrangements are strictly between you and the lender and do not impact your contract to purchase the vehicle. The deposit is not refundable if you change your mind or if you cannot obtain financing on the vehicle. Should you need us to hold the car beyond the week, we ask for a deposit of $500 for every $10,000 of vehicle value. This will protect you as well as us. This deposit is the only liquidated damages you would be expected to forfeit should you fail to follow through with our contract to purchase the vehicle. When the shipper picks the vehicle up at our facility, we will review the condition of the vehicle with the driver and will sign a Bill of Lading describing any deficiencies or cosmetic blemishes noted during our walkaround. Many shippers try to protect their liability by marking the Bill of Lading as though the car has hundreds of imperfections. We will not allow this to happen. We encourage you to examine the vehicle closely upon its arrival and to take up any concerns about damage or cosmetic imperfections at the time of arrival BEFORE SIGNING THE BILL OF LADING. Once you sign the Bill of Lading, the shipper is realeased from liability and you are on your own. Should you find surprise damage and see that it is on the Bill of Lading, please contact us promptly and email us the Bill of Lading. We will compare it to our copy and notify you of any discrepancies. Some shippers damage a vehicle and simply document the damage on the Bill of Lading as though it existed at the time they picked it up.
