The beautiful teak interior gives a warm feel below while providing 6' 2" of headroom and a spacious 10' 10" beam with plenty of comforts for the cruising family. There is a spacious U shaped galley to starboard with hot and cold pressure water, a 10" stainless steel sink with through-hull drain. It has a mini refrigerator (120 volt) installed with the original gimbaled 2 burner stove with oven provided separately. The galley also has plenty of counter space, a 6 cubic foot insulated ice box with insulated lid, a tilt-out dish caddy, a wine locker and additional storage drawers and cabinets. There is plenty of storage on board and two water tanks plus one water bladder for some 40+ gallons of water available. There is a navigation station to port and behind it there is a spacious 6' 6" quarter berth with opening ventilation ports. Forward of the nav station is the settee with seating for 4, and a convertible table that provides sleeping accommodation for 2 adults. All the way forward is the owners stateroom secluded by a private teak panel door, has a private changing area, hanging locker and bathroom with shower attachment on the sink. The head also has an 18 gallon holding tank for when mooring at the islands. On deck Beryl has everything you need for that casual afternoon sail, a cruise to the So-Cal islands or some competitive racing with a full crew. The vessel is designed and set up also for single handed sailing when you feel adventurous. The 6 gallon water heater is about one year old and the heat exchanger has been removed serviced and is like new. The motor is the Universal M25, 21 hp diesel and is bullet proof driving the boat on a windless day to 5-1/2-6 knots. As with any boat that has been enjoyed there are some issues for the buyer to be aware of: The hatches are crazed but not causing any issues. The upholstery is clean and healthy but is showing normal wear. There are various dents and dings that accumulate with an actively used boat.The boat is delivered to buyer as is where is on the water, Marina Del Rey area. Compac 23 sailboat w/ 2 axle trailer, motor and custom interior. The Com-Pac 23 is a highly respected trailer-able, ramp- launch-able pocket cruiser. Sleeps 4 adults, has accomodations for extended cruising vacations, and the flexibility of being trailered home afterwards. Small galley with pump water, small head with porta-potti. Features a NACA foil shaped shoal draft keel and outboard rudder, she handles rough seas with grace and style. 6 opening bronze ports and hand built yacht-like interior make this boat a proper mini- yacht. I've owned this one for 8 years, and it features a new interior: teak, mahogany and maple over 3/4" closed cell foam insulation. New wiring, breaker panel, Hummingbird GPS/ chart plotter/ sonar, Cd/ radio, VHF, LED/ fluorescent lighting. Electric start Nissan 9.9 hp OB, recently serviced impeller, tune-up. Tabernacle mast w/ Stainless Steel strut system, allows easy mast stepping even in windy conditions. There is still some detail work going on (interior trim mostly), but it's ready to sail and trailer most anywhere. CDI flexible furler with recent 120% jib sail. Main sail in useable shape; not overly stretched, torn or dirty. Heavy duty twin axle trailer w/ surge brakes, good tires and new bunks. New equalizer hitch. Recent paint, wiring, brake hydraulics. Trailered across the country with no issues. This is a good pocket cruiser type sailboat, with good stability, speed and reasonable comfort. Limited headroom (under 5'), but lengthy, comfortable berths (7'). I've sailed it under stressful conditions (20+ knots, rough seas), and made it home smiling. I can't think of a more enjoyable trailerable (and I've owned 6); stability, comfort, speed and portability are all well balanced and deliberate. Possible trade considered. This is a great sailboat, built in 1997 and sailed mainly in fresh water. The 8ft. beam and water ballast allows for trailering virtually anywhere. Water ballast reduces trailer weight so a large towing vehicle is not required. This boat has a swing keel and dual rudders to reduce the draft and avoids grounding in shallow waters. All standard equipment and features of this model are in good working order. There are not any additional electronics. A 9.9 four stroke Honda outboard (not the 50hp) engine provides power when not under sail power. This boat is a mini cruiser that will sleep six and has an enclosed toilet(head). Interior cushions are in excellent condition. All required safety equipment is included as well as an anchor, fenders, and docking lines.
