1974 BoatYard Monarch Boat 1974 Heavy Duty Work-Boat, HIN Serial #DUR8724M74, 17 Feet. (Former CG rescue unit), Engine: hours (unknown), Mercruser 165 I/O (Straight-6 Chevy), Gasoline fuel, Drive train, lower unit, pump and hydraulics operational, Sea Water Heat Exchanger- cleaned, re-gasketed, ignition and carburetor serviced and are operational, throttle-shifter operational, boat has been winterized Fall 2016, Stabil Fuel-Winterized motor, Exhaust boot replaced, Engine compartment vent lines need to be replaced. Includes the key and currently a highway-capable shrink-wrap cover.  This is an extremely stable craft you can stand on top of gunnels and the boat stays level (when not operating).  When functional top speed in the range of 25-34 mph. Excellent potential family activity or fishing boat with large cockpit for nearly every type of on the water activity. No more chalky and shredded fiberglass and a real aluminum boat which can take the roughest seas and not so friendly weather!  And, still get you home in the storm!   Major Construction:  Aluminum Heavy Duty Hull 3/16th to1/4 Inch bottom.  Sides, deck, transom all lighter aluminum. Cockpit is secure heavy aluminum chain-plate construction enclosing lower water-tight flotation chamber constructed with gasketed water-tight portals for access. Hull has scratches, dents and dings, body and decal impressions have been painted, some paint is peeling, front seats are in need of attention or replacement. Known Problem areas: New battery required, Full engine diagnosis required, including compression test and coolant test for pressures and integrity, Fuel lines, side fuel tanks need checks for serviceability. Trailer, has scratches, some rust, tires are in fair condition (probably road-worthy), including the spare tire. Bearings, electric brakes, lights/wiring was/ were renovated possibly within the past five years.
