Very good condition Yngling for sale. It is located at the Alameda Marina and is for local Bay Area Sale only. Fresh sails, trailer included. Designed by Jan Linge, who had earlier designed the Soling. This is a 3 person racing keel-boat. Little sister to the Olympic Class Soling. Smaller, lighter, more easily handled. Unsinkable due to Styrofoam flotation. If filled with water the Yngling will still float with three crew aboard. A ISAF International Class since 1979. approximately 4000 boats are sailing worldwide

FOR SALE IS A 1994 YNGLING SAILBOAT WITH FIXED KEEL AND A TRIAD TRAILER.YNGLING IS A BOAT DESIGNED IN NORWAY WITH LARGE WORLDWIDE FLEETS AS WELL AS ACTIVE FLEETS IN THE UNITED STATES.THE BOAT WAS BROUGHT FROM RHODE ISLAND TO OKOBOJI, IA TO RACE IN THE NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS AND THEN PURCHASED BY A LOCAL SAILOR. WHEN HE RETIRED i BOUGHT IT AND HAVE NOW RETIRED FROM COMPETIVIE SAILING. THE BOAT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND RACE READY WITH A PLATISMO COMPASS AND SCUPPERS. MAST AND BOOM ARE VERY GOOD. THE BOAT CARRIES A MAIN SAIL , JIB AND SPINNAKER. SPINNAKER AND JIB ARE NEARLY NEW AND THE MAIN WAS PURCHASED FROM THE U.S. WOMEN'S OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS.THIS BOAT TRAILERS WELL AND THE TRAILER WAS SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR THIS TYPE OF BOAT.THE BOAT CARRIES A HEAVY KEEL AND IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TIP OR CAPSIZE. A user informed me that this is most likely a Iota 12, Catboat, (Frostbiter) from 1989. There were only 8 made by http://brucekirbymarine.org Bruce Kirby Marine. Bruce Kirby is an Olympic and America's Cup sailor. Possibly the most prolific boat and yacht designer of all time with over 60 boats. According to US Coast Guard built by Stur-Dee Boat Company of Tiverton, Rhode Island. This was a competitive class in California at one point.
