The current owner has spared no expense in maintaining and updating this beautiful, eurostyle motor yacht. Kept in fresh water since 2005 and renovated inside and out between 2008 and 2010, this boat looks and runs like a boat half its age, if that:- Cosmetically, her gelcoat has been replaced with PPG marine paint, and all her canvas has been replaced. - Her twin 630hp Cat 3196's, an upgrade for this boat, have 500 hrs since their major overhaul (2009) and her aftercoolers and turbos were rebuilt again in 2014 as a preventative precaution (for those that know 3196?s...that will mean something)- Her generator has been replaced (2013)- All navigation electronics were replaced (2010)and the upper and lower stations networked together to provide integrated control at both upper and lower station.- virtually every other mechanical device - from water pumps to A/C to windlass to refrigerators have been either replaced or rebuilt.- Fabrics, carpets, curtains all updated by a professional decorator (2008)On the water, this Princess-designed motoryacht performs incredibly, as anyone who has captained one will attest. With a top speed over 30 knots and an easy cruise at 27 knots, she is fast and responsive. She tracks true and clean even in difficult sea conditions. She's also fuel efficient, even by today's standards, consuming a mere 3gph at 8 knots, and 40gph at 27 knots. Her home today is on Lake Ontario, and she spends her winter in heated dry storage in upstate NY. She is being offer by SkipperBuds of Ohio and will be on location in Marblehead, Ohio very soon. Please call in advance. Trades considered.

The boat needs a good scrubbing, the Gelcoat is in good shape, no chalking noticed. The owner fixed a couple of soft spots in the cabin roof. Per the seller, the deck feels sturdy. The running gear is 2 years old and in very good shape. The seller asserts this boat is that you can go sailing in it right away, with no major issues. All of the things that need to be replaced and updated on a boat this age has been done. The current owner has put a lot of work into rejuvenating the interior with fresh paint, new cushions covers, and other details. There is less than 50 hours on the engine. There is no known mechanical issues. The kitchen has just recently been updated. All the standing rigging is new. Stock #234013 Center Cockpit sloop, all wiring, plumbing and power replaced! Grampian 34 center cockpit sloop G2-34 Grampian is an Oakville, Ontario Canadian company with a plant in NC Grampian Yachts were named after the Grampian Mountains of Scotland. A Charles Angle/Axel Schmidt design, the Grampian G2-34 is a roomy, long-range cruising yacht. The center cockpit provides a smooth, dry ride in rough weather and allows a private aft cabin for the owners of the ship. When Grampian went out of business in 1977, the molds for the 34-2 were sold, and a few more were built as the SEAFORTH 34. Owners Group: http://www.grampianowners.com/ The Grampian Story: https://youtu.be/KjEY8Z42YlYG2-34 The Grampian G2-34 is a perfect sailboat for the bay or coastal cruising. The mast is stepped on the cabin roof with a support pillar in the cabin. This is a very seaworthy design with a fin keel, skeg rudder, and 5170 lbs. of enclosed ballast. The double cabin design allows for cruising with kids or another couple. The front V-berths are kid-sized. Lots of storage space all throughout the boat, the hull is insulated with closed-cell foam panels. The dinette converts into a double berth. It has a relatively new 120 Genoa and the original jib. The main is rigged with 2 reef points and what appears to be an unused storm jib. With these and the heavy-duty rigging, you are ready for some stormy weather! The hull has been refinished, blisters repaired. 2 years ago the owner installed new wiring, lighting, plumbing, rigging, tanks (gas/waste/water), and batteries. Solid mechanically but could still use some cosmetic updates on the interior. It's ready to sail. Comes with an excellent Genoa, fair main (1-2 seasons left), like new storm jib. Full perimeter toe rail with holes for lines or blocks. Stern boarding ladder. Reason for selling is getting another project boat.

2003 Nordic Tugs 37 Broker’s Comment:"Charles A" is a meticulously cared for vessel. Sold new in August of 2004 she has always been used in fresh water of the Great lakes. Her current owner, a former sailor has kept her here in Erie. PA. Recently he and his wife took a trip to the Thousand Islands using the Erie ad Oswego canals and Lake Ontario. Comfortable cruising through scenic New York. I helped her owner refuel and was privileged to pilot her from his Yacht Club to another Marina’s fuel dock. What a great handling vessel. Checking his log, he determined he had averaged 2.8 Gallons per hour fuel consumption. Wow! Additions he has added are new upholstery in the salon and bridge deck, a custom made winter cover, a new water heater and CO2 and smoke alarms. The electronics have had all the recent software upgrades. I have had the pleasure of listing 2 other vessels he has owned including a new 2006 39’ sailboat he purchased though RCR Yachts. Each was kept with loving care and were in “nearly new” condition. The vessel name, “Charles A,” is a reference to family history of river pilots.
