The seller, a professional Captain, is willing to offer comprehensive training on the boat's systems and sailing techniques. All records have been kept with the boat and all systems are in working order. The boat bottom was peeled and had four coats of WEST Epoxy and Petit Barrier coat applied 8 years ago (Zero Blisters). New Dodger, new hatch, and helm covers. New four deep cycle battery bank was replaced this year along with an extra set of sails in good to excellent condition. Also comes with a new Italian-made sea drogue worth over $2,800. There are a few small jobs still left for the new owner like refreshing the cap-rail (bright work) and a little touch-up paint on the bowsprit. Once on board, you'll feel how solid this boat really is!! Stock #387943 TIMELESS ELEGANCE AND STYLE ARE ON FULL DISPLAY WITH THE SOLID BUILT 1985 HANS CHRISTIAN 38T - SELLER WILLING TO FINANCE WITH GOOD DOWN PAYMENT! Welcome aboard this spectacular 1985 Hans Christian 38T, fully equipped for cruising and more. Crafted by Harwood Ives and custom-built by Hans Christian Yachts, this classic vessel embodies the essence of sailing on the high seas. This 38-foot fiberglass hull beauty is a heavy displacement, double-ended cutter rig designed specifically for blue water adventures but makes for a fantastic liveaboard as well. This unique sailboat with a clipper bow and a long bowsprit, gives her a unique head-turning appearance. The solid reputation of the Hans Christian has a devoted owner base, this vessel stands out for its superior build quality and timeless design. Her stunning interior is a testament to the exquisite craftsmanship and is filled with beautiful Burmese Teak cabinets, cupboards, and drawers. Featuring two cabins and a quarter sea berth along with a spacious enclosed head that includes a private fully tiled shower. Navigate the entire cabin with a wide center aisle and for your taller crew, you'll enjoy 6 foot 6 inches of headroom. A large 'Butterfly Hatch' brings in the light above the U-shaped dinette settee just opposite a comfortable couch style settee to stretch out and relax. You'll enjoy the gourmet U-shaped galley boasting genuine marble countertops with ample room for meal prep, a fully functional propane 3 burner cooktop, oven, and topside fridge/freezer surrounded by those teak cupboards, cabinets, and drawers. A quote from the Seller, an experienced Captain in his own right - "Personally, I am most impressed with all of the self-tailing bronze winches that are placed all over the boat. I've never seen a boat with so much bronze jewelry. not even on another Hans. I can imagine what those winches alone much have cost when they were installed. As you probably know self-tailing winches are already ridiculously expensive but to have them in bronze is quite the unicorn. This true 'Blue Water Boat' is built like a tank and laden with teak and bronze jewelry!" The Hans Christian's Telstar keel with clipper bow and duel roller furling head sails make her a dream boat for liveaboards and seasoned sailors alike. This vessel is outfitted with modern amenities, including a Raytheon Auto Helm, Monitor Wind Vane, Magnum inverter, and solar panels (extra working panels included). The recent upgrades, such as fresh bottom paint and a new dodger, ensure optimal performance and comfort. Other great features include an electric windlass, microwave, diesel cabin heater, cruising sea drogue, spinnaker and an extra set of sails. This boat with the traditional V-berth fore-peak, could not be more of a dream boat for the liveaboard or the saltiest of hard-core cruising sailors. As mentioned - the Seller will consider Private Financing to get you started! Don't miss the opportunity to own a piece of sailing history - with reportedly only 5 of these unique vessels built in 1985. The perfect boat for exploring the Puget Sound or completing that dream of cruising the World! Reason for selling is extra inventory.

1975 Van De Stadt 45 Cutter Coquette is a 1975 45-foot Van de Stadt cutter, for sale by motivated seller. The Van de Stadt pedigree is obvious in this sturdy vessel (google "Van de Stadt Hawk" to read about another Van de Stadt). She has no deck coring, so deck rot is not a worry like so many other vessels of her age. Instead, the shipyard used fiberglass stringers in the solid fiberglass hull and deck. A long fin keel and spade rudder make her a great sailer upwind or down. She has safely sailed across the ocean from S. Africa and has circumnavigated the Caribbean several times. She's also been a comfortable liveaboard and local cruiser.Layout: Forward is a large six-and-a-half-foot long V-berth with storage along the hull as well as underneath. A hatch brings in cool breezes. Just aft of the V-berth is a hanging locker to starboard and large shelf storage to port. Moving aft, to port is a large double-bunk mid-cabin with storage in drawers as well as underneath. To starboard is the head, with a famous uncloggable Lavac head. There is a sink and even a small bathtub along with three cabinets. Moving aft is the large saloon, with a long settee to starboard, backed by large cabinets and underneath storage. A vented, bulkhead mounted kerosene heater can heat the whole area on cool nights. To port is a beautifully finished teak table with an L-shaped seating area. The table has an extra fold up leaf for more space. The flat floor in the saloon is carpeted, with access to the 120-gallon water tank and 70-gallon diesel tank underneath. Further aft to port is the galley with new Corian counters, a beautiful stainless and brass Taylor's kerosene stove/oven, and a large refrigerator (needs conversion) recessed into the counter. There's a stainless sink with hand and foot pumps; they are interchangeable and allow saltwater or freshwater pumping. To starboard is a navigation station with four large drawers for charts and additional storage. Aft of the nav station is a long quarter berth with storage underneath. Moving aft is the cockpit, large enough to be comfortable, small enough to be safe in a large seaway. Teak cockpit grates cover the cockpit floor and surround the Edson steering station. Teak inserts are positioned on the fiberglass seats. Like many Van de Stadts, Coquette is equipped with a large hard dodger that protects from wind and spray. The dodger even has a hatch. Two very large self-tailing winches handle foresail duty and two smaller ones take care of the staysail. Aft of the cockpit is a separate aft cabin, complete with a large berth and sitting area with table, lights, a small sink and head. Moving aft is a huge lazarette for fenders, lines, and life jackets.Coquette is powered by a reliable Perkins 4-108 diesel engine, completely rebuilt about 500 hours ago. A feathering Max Prop gives her amazing thrust in forward and reverse.Draws 6 feet with a 12-foo

1986 Hans Christian HANSA 33 CUTTER This cutter is from the highly respected Taiwan yard of the Hansa Yacht and Shifbau.  A  Two owner boat, that was originally purchased to run in the Pacific Cup race to Hawaii. The first owner was a top rate sailor and craftsman. After the race, which it finished second, the boat had low use and was shipped from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe where it could only be used about 4 months out of the year. It was later shipped to Newport beach and sold to the current owner. Both owners have showed exceptional maintenance programs on this yacht. Many years in fresh water kept the bottom free of any osmotic problems, and none are noted in the last survey.  Currently, the yacht is moored in Marina Del Ray with a assumable slip. The boat is equipped with Raymarine new touch screen 48 mile  radar which includes all functions available. Also has AIS and full seatalk system plus cockpit repeaters. This system allows full system access by an I pad so interior repeater is not required. All other electronics are in top shape. A highly custom Iverson dodger with strata glass was aided in the last year. Check the photo section for this, it is a beauty with all the rails needed to make the yacht safe. A double purchase control has been added to the traveler for easy adjustment, and the sail main sheet is set at the stern of the yacht. There are so many custom features, you will need to see the boat to appreciate her. So let me know when you would like to see it.     The interior is in very fine condition and well kept at all times. The mast has been reconditioned in the last year and new hard track and a stack pack with new lazy Jacks to make main sail furling a easy chore. All winches have been reworked and lubricated, the rig is a tall rig that is 9 foot higher than the normal 33 to allow more speed and performance. The sails were custom made for the boat in San Francisco, and the standard sails that came with the boat are still available as a second backup set. The sails on the boat now show little use.  This boat shows very well and the varnish is perfect. The engine has been maintained by one of the top mechanics in the Southern California area, and no money has been spared to keep the yacht in as close to Bristol condition as can be expected of a 28 year old vessel.  Prepare to be impressed when you see this boat in person. We are well aware that the Hans Christian is not for everyone, and we are happy that it is not. This boat needs a sailor that loves boats and understands the the cost of a yacht that can take you anywhere in the world needs proper maintenance that the coastal yachts that have little maintenance and not to much character.  Call soon if you meet the above criteria. Please, serious buyers only.

1974 Fuji 35 Ketch This classic Fuji Ketch is located in southern Chile.  For those who have dreamed of sailing Patagonia, this is your chance!  Despite her age she is well maintained, well equipped, and ready to go! Of the design, here is an excerpt of a review from famed bluewater yacht designer Robert Perry:   By now the Fuji 35 is a very successful stock yacht. Upon her introduction I was quite surprised that there was a market for a yacht with very little of the current stock boat trappings. In fact, the Fuji 35 seemed a little anachronistic. It is, I'm sure, this feature that has brought her to the popularity she is now enjoying. The John G. Alden office has been known for years for producing fine performing yachts. The Fuji follows in this tradition. She is of a hull form that traces its model back to the well-known Alden schooners. Compared to most of the current production yachts, the Fuji is a bit narrow. I don't think it's narrow, I feel it's about right for good windward performance. While the Fuji won't point like an IOR racing yacht, she will move to weather well, to cruising boat standards. The sheer and other aesthetic treatments on the hull are done with impeccable taste, and the Fuji doesn't convey the "toy boat" image of some of the other character type designs. In fact, to call the Fuji a character yacht would be wrong. She is a traditional yacht. The beam on deck is generous. This makes for a very dry boat and has the bonus of affording large side decks and a huge cockpit area. The keel is long but cut away slightly forward to improve maneuverability. There is a slight drag angle to the keel also. This, I think, is also to improve maneuverability. There should be no question as to the Fuji's ability to track or steer herself. The large transom and the minimum overhang of the mizzen boom would be ideal for attaching a self-steering device. The displacement / length ratio of the Fuji 35 is 413. This indicates the Fuji is in the heavy displacement area. The Fuji is available in two rigs, the standard ketch and optional cutter. Aesthetically both rigs look great on the yacht, but my preference is for the ketch. It's true that you possibly could go to weather a little bit better with the cutter; however, I think the improvement would be negligible due to the hull form of the Fuji. The largest sail in the ketch rig is only 220 square feet. This would make the Fuji very easy to handle short handed. The ketch rig is very hard to beat for leisurely husband and wife sailing. While I don't care for the shape of most club jibs, they do cut down the activity during a tack. Very few people can go below a Fuji for the first time without some sort of pleasant exclamation. The woodwork is of a quality that is all but extinct and has to be one of the main selling points of the Fuji. Her builder is Fuji Yacht Builders, Japan. The molding details are the best I'v

Or an alternative housing scenario. That alternative is this. The 2010 survey put the boat at a $400,000 replacement cost, a $115,000 - $140,000 refit complete value and $85,000 market value. The prior owner needed a survey for bank loan and insurance. 2010 survey available upon request plus 2012 addendum.

1981 Peterson Delta 45 This is another great example of the Doug Peterson design built in the Tawainese Shin Hsing Yard. Based on the world renowned KP-44 design, this blue water cruiser, like most of them, has likely been there.  If you are looking for a capable, two stateroom, two head liveaboard, and plan to cruise the sea of Cortez and Mexico, or sail to the South Pacific this boat, is  one to seriously consider.  With the 39’ waterline, cutter ketch rig, and center cockpit, you will find her a comfortable, dry, and great sailing ocean boat.  Built with hand-laid fiberglass, the solid hull has a 10,000 lb. encapsulated ballast keel, protected prop, and skeg hung rudder, serious features you just won’t find on light new boats.   The sailing performance of the Peterson design is forgiving, and often surprising in both light and heavy airs. She practically sails herself, making over 150 mile days offshore, comfortably handling sea states that keep other boats in anchorages. You can be sure that she'll deliver your family to your next port in safety and comfort.  A pleasure to own, live aboard, and sail, you’ll find very few blue water yachts that are in the same overbuilt league, especially at this price.  Wait till you see the quality of the interior woodwork!  Owner has another boat, and priced this one for a quick sale.  Make an appointment to see Sea Biscuit soon.

1993 Pacific Seacraft 34 Crealock Shoal Draft - Blue Water Pacific Seacrafts have been known for their seaworthiness since 1984. Designed after the very successful Pacific Seacraft 37, this 34 focuses on safety and comfort with lively sailing performance. It’s an overall tough boat with a sea kindly nature very well suited for blue-water passage making. Once you reach your destination, its shoal draft of 4'1" will get you into places other blue-water boats won’t. The Canoe stern is not just for good looks either. The blue-water design allows this vessel to maintain speed and control in a following sea. While sailing upwind, her hull design continues to shine. This 34 Crealock is well balanced under sail which builds confidence in sailors who are not greatly experienced and gives a smile of pride to the experienced sailor. The rig is of cutter configuration, all control lines are feed back into the safety of the cockpit. Inside, there is 6’4? of headroom, a comfortably sized galley, and an interior that is well laid out for live aboard. There are berths for up to five, two in the V, two in the saloon settees, and a single seagoing quarter berth which doubles as a seat for the navigation table. Sea Fox is powered with a highly desirable 38hp Yanmar Diesel with low hours. Known in the sailing community for its fuel efficient, reliable design. Yanmar is the perfect complement to this solid seaworthy vessel. Equipped with the PSS Dripless Shaft Seal this propulsion system is blue water ready. As for running rigging – it’s all New! Waiting in the box for the new owners is a full set of color coded halyards, sheets and lines.  The interior of Sea Fox is like new. The hand rubbed teak joinery in the cabin gives this rugged vessel a touch of elegance that sets off its overall majestic appearance. Sea Fox was hauled, cleaned and prepared for long term storage several years ago when the current owners realized they would not be able to sail for a while.  They have  sadly come to the conclusion they may not be able to sail again and are giving another eager sailor the opportunity. Sea Fox is currenly in the yard in Bradenton Florida and is easy to show! The owners are motivated to sell now that the decision has been made. Please call Captain Dale! You can reach me on my cell phone or email anytime with questions and to make an appointment for a showing!   Thanks for your interest, Dale

With the swing keel, they ride low on the trailer and can be launched and retrieved from any ramp. A handful of fixed-keel variants were produced, including a small number of shoal keel models. It is believed that fewer than 300 fixed-keel boats were produced, and even fewer of the shoal-keel boats (believed to be less than 20). Clark experimented with the fixed-keel design predominantly in the production plant located near Seattle, Washington. They handle much like big dinghies, yet with the 400-lb. keel, they are self-righting. This is not of much concern, as capsizing a San Juan 21 is not easy. Initially tender, the San Juan 21 heels to 15 degrees rather easily but firms up there, and once past 40 degrees, the helmsman has to make a rather big mistake to get it to go more. Once past 50 degrees or so, the sturdy little boat will round up and head into the wind. The San Juan 21 is a pleasure to sail for both novices and experienced racers. Due to its light weight (1400 lbs Class Weight), it accelerates briskly in puffs and will literally sail rings around most bigger boats in light to moderate winds. There are several one-design class fleets located at various lakes across the country with active racing schedules all summer. While designed more with performance in mind, the boat is comfortable for weekend cruising for two adults with two small children. It has space for a camping toilet and ample storage for other essentials. They are also easy to single-hand, with the fractional rig's small jib and large main. The sail inventory consists of a large mainsail, a small 110% working jib, a 135% genoa, and a spinnaker. Being a one-design class, rules limit the sails to be made from Dacron and the spinnaker from nylon. This keeps costs down.
