"KATIE LYNN" had a major overhaul in 2014 to include engine upgrade to a pair of 6.5L diesel long blocks, new motor mounts, new water pumps, new turbos, new commercial clutch plates, alternators and heat exchangers were rebuilt, both shafts machine trued, props re-pitched for new power, new cutless bearings on both shaft logs, rebuilt both sea strainers, new intake grates on both engines, all new hoses, and engine room painted white with epoxy paint. There was CCTV added to the engine room that connects to E120 unit on bridge for full time monitoring of engine room, Dual Halon Fireboy system re-certified, and white LED lights throughout the engine room provides ample bright lights. Over $50K in receipts to support the work, and complete log on board for the vessel. In addition to these major things, her bottom was painted late 2016, and is excellent shape without years and years of build up on her.
Other notable features & updates include a NEW Webasto AC/HEAT unit, NEW Jabsco marine toilet, all internal low voltage lighting replaced with LED lighting throughout, full bridge enclosure was done in 2010 by Mike's Marine canvas that does high quality, award winning work. Her navigation & electronics package includes updated RayMarine E120 with color chart plotter, Radar, Fish Finder/Sounder, CCTV, and remote controlled FLIR nightvision infrared system mounted on hard top. There is a secondary redundant Garmin C178 color chart plotter and sounder as well, along with Standard Horizon Commercial VHF Radio with Class D Channel 70 DCS with a registered Distress number.
