1988 Hansen 65' houseboat This is a diamond in the rough.This is a full ownership. It has potential to be a money maker by turning it into a timeshare boat. It needs to be remodeled. Its a Hansen brand house boat. Its 65' long and 16' wide two story with a slide and a diving board on the roof. It can sleep up to 16 inside and has 1 full bathroom and 1 half bath. The top deck is the full length and width of the boat and has a winch for jet skis. The kitchen is large, there are two refrigerators,gas stove with oven, microwave, ice make and trash compactor, there is a 100 gallon fresh water tank but it also has lake water pumps. It has 2 fuel injected 350 Chevy engines with Hamilton jet pumps, it was re-powered in the late 90s. The generator is a 10k watt westerbeke. It was working before we stored it a year ago but I was having trouble getting it running this weekend, there is also a fuel station on the side of the boat to refuel other boats and jet skis. It has 5 fuel tanks that are approx 100 gallons each, one for each engine, one for the generator and two for the fuel station. The boat is in good condition but just needs to be updated. There are a few repairs but they are minor. It does come with 4 50# anchors, also tools and extra parts. There are kitchen supplies also left on the boat, pots, pans etc. The last time we used it was last labor day 2015 and everything worked great. ALUMINUM SOMERSET HOUSEBOAT Aluminum Somerset House Boat for sale, 14 X 65, year 1986. This great older houseboat has twin 120 mercruisers is good condition, upstairs fly-bridge with complete controls, like new house sized 110/propane gas fridge, like new carpet, Queen Master bedroom, full bath with shower, hallway bunk beds with double down and single up, lots of room for it’s size and the factory optional extended rear deck (much larger than normal) making it a huge play/living area to go with the front covered deck. The rooftop deck area is large as well so there’s plenty of room for a bunch of folks to hang out and relax. This older model aluminum hulled boat is in good condition throughout as we have just had professionally done in the last year the following maintenance: New fiberglass gel coated upper deck New rubber out drive boots on both engines (should last 10-15 years) One new out drive entirely, the other carefully checked and maintenance performed New real wood beaded ceilings in the entire back half of the boat (bedroom/bath area) New, large, beautiful cherry wood front four- door home sized freezer/fridge (110volt or propane for nights out on the lake. This was a $1400 dollar fridge when new) New real wood bamboo floor in kitchen area, not vinyl Totally new indoor/outdoor carpet on all outside decks downstairs We have had this boat for three years now and honestly just don’t use it as much as we thought we would. It’s located at Fish Springs Dock on Watauga Lake and we also own the slip it’s in, which we would sell as well. We even had a sixty foot metal roof installed last year over the entire dock area to protect the boat from sun and rain at a cost of about $9000 if you had it done today. This keeps the boat super cool even in summer. While this houseboat isn’t new, it’s not some ragged out fiberglass or steel one that’s gonna give problems with the hull. The aluminum hull and all decks are totally solid and should last basically forever. The boat could use a good cleaning and a little decorating but the everything is in good condition. We’re asking $49000 for the boat alone, and another $12000 for the entirely covered, privately owned dock on Watauga Lake. We’re even offering the boat and dock together at the discounted price of $59000! And even though you do have to pay Fish Springs an annual “maintenance” fee of $2000 to keep the boat there should you wish, since we’ve already paid the dock fee for 2015 you wouldn’t even have to pay that until 2016! After that, this dock is still about $4000 cheaper per year than renting houseboat dock space on Watauga Lake. This boat would make a great houseboat for anyone looking to enjoy the lake.
