The boat was built by Cheoy Lee in Hong-Kong, in 1976. Cheoy Lee 42, docked in Pillard Point (Half Moon Bay), registered in California. The boat is visible at Pillard Point marina, dock H-26. You can access the dock any time (there is no gate). If you want to see the inside, we will just need to agree on a time and date for me to show you. The boat is in good shape, we've been owning it, traveling and living on it since 2004. The engine will need some attention eventually, but it runs OK. Based on ads I see for similar boats, its value should be around $50,000, you can see it with the links below, they'll lead you to pictures . There was a recent storn and saome damge thgat was jsut foxed. But a starboard mizzen chain-plate got broken, and I am not going to be able to fix that quickly, it requires some time I don't have for now...Having a new chain-plate would take I believe less that $100, but it would take a couple of hours to put it in place.This is something a possible buyer should be aware of. I am selling my 1992 Eliminator Tunnel Boat. I bought the boat in 2009 and proceeded to blow the engine almost immediately after getting it home. I hired Hitch Machine to build a BULLETPROOF motor for it and ended up with a 540 Cubic Inch Dart Block loaded up with lots of good parts! A full Spec sheet is attached below.... I have gone through every inch of this boat over the last 6 years, most recently rebuilding the IMCO drive with new 1.32:1 gears. I personally have run the boat 112mph on GPS with the old gears @ 6000RPM, 5% boost, 34" prop, and pump gas! Now, with the new gears, the boat should easily reach 120MPH with no other adjustments. You do have the option of increasing the boost, and you could get a better prop, but I left it like this because it is PLENTY FAST just the way it is!! This boat has incredible acceleration, it pushes you into the seats when you step on the throttle! Anyone and Everyone that I have taken for rides in this boat is blown away by the ride quality, stability, and raw power is possesses!! I keep the boat on a covered lift, with a cover on it. It has a cockpit only cover, a deck and full cockpit cover, and a full mooring cover. There is a matching bimini top for the boat, but I have never used it....I believe it is in very good condition. Carpet is good, no soft spots in the floor....everything works properly. I just replaced the rub rail insert and had the interior upholstery "touched up" by a vinyl repair company. The boat has all your standard gauges, depth finder, and GPS Speedometer with Recall. Excellent power with a Chris Craft Fresh Water Cooled Marine 307 of 225 HP, 12V DC Starter, Borg Warner Transmission of 2.93: 1 reduction, Wet Exhaust 4 BBL Carb, 172.8 Engine hours. Restoration started and a lot of preliminary sanding done. All Hardware is on the boat. Some railings removed for painting but are stored below. Nice interior wood, Solid decks and hull. We are the second owners of this amazing vessel, and relentlessly searched for the BEST used Cobalt in the Country and believe we found it in our back yard. It has been meticulously maintained and rarely used. Only used on the Deep Fresh Water of Geneva Lake in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. After every use it is pulled out of the water and wiped down! Runs and Drives as it should, Brand New! It has always been stored in an indoor facility during the winter months. COMES WITH A INSPECTION REPORT from Gordy's Marine of Lake Geneva, Wi. and a PERFECTLY CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH with NO EXCUSES!! The Cobalt 240 is a true cross between luxury and performance with seating capacity for a dozen plus friends. It is equipped with the upgraded 6.2L, 320 Horsepower, Mercruiser V8 and a Bravo 3 Duo Prop. outdrive.Overall length is 26' with the extended swim platform. The extended swim platform is removable for storage. (24' long when removed). This 240 performs like no other boat we have ever been in or owned.
