1973 Pacemaker Sport Fisherman The Pacemaker 38 was a popular boat in the 70's thanks to her rugged construction, comfortable accommodations and classic good looks. Her galley up with opening windows forward and large opening windows port and starboard along with the aft sliding door give you the luxury of controlling the breeze in the salon. She has a full head with stall shower. The owner has had the hull gel-coated. She runs great and has had a full spring tune up including synthetic oil. Her low deadrise with shallow keel and a well flared bow gives her a beautiful profile. She is sea kindly for fishing and steady for day trips with your friends. Fishing equipment will be sold for $1,000.00. Owner has mooring that will go with the boat. This is an opportunity to own a classic. Owner moving and is motivated.

Boat owner’s notes for 1970 Pacemaker, Fly-bridge cruiser - call boat owner Ray @ (337) 433-4413. Overview: This classic pacemaker yacht with the hull number of 21 is one of the first fiberglass yachts made by Pacemaker, The hull is over built, because they were not sure as to how strong fiberglass was at that time and they did not want to take a chance with the Pacemaker name, The hull design makes for a well riding and good handling boat in heavy seas, The layout makes for an excellent Sport fishing yacht and for cruising. Features: This classic sport fishing yacht has been updated with some custom features to improve its usability, With two state rooms, a full head with stand up shower, a fully equipped galley and large main saloon with a wet bar, There are two steering stations with complete controls at each station, Aft of the main cabin is a spacious fishing cockpit, With rod holders, rod rack, wash down pump and large outriggers, The fly bridge is roomy and has a full view of the boat, The engines are industrial type diesels and not like the small throw away diesel that are used today, The cruising range at about 12 knots is 300 miles with onboard fuel of 250 gallons, 100 gallons water tank makes long trips possible, My family and I cruised the Bahamas from Louisiana on this boat. This vintage yacht offers an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of owning a fine yacht without the cost involved in a new one, Construction method at the time this yacht was built allows for easy maintenance and repairs, It’s proven durability is a good indicator of it’s future.
