REPO SALE 1975 Pacemaker 32 Sport Cruiser 32’ Twin Engine Sedan Bridge Cruiser Air Conditioning/Heat Onan Generator Twin Crusader/Chevy 305/220HP/V-8 Inboards This is an auction for a REPO BOAT. This boat was seized for back storage owed. This boat is in good condition, and needs nothing to enjoy today! This has always been a Great Lakes freshwater boat. The engines are in good running condition, with 365 original hours, and can be driven anywhere. It would make a great family cruiser or big water fishing boat owing to the large aft deck. I have personally had my family out on this boat a few times and can attest that she is sea worthy, runs good, and rides great in the rough stuff! Structurally, she is very good condition, with no signs of damage or abuse. There are no major scratches, nor are there any repairs. The decks are very solid, and the bottom has anti-fouling paint. She could stand a bit of polishing on the outside, but nothing major… a simple buff and wax.NEW: The teak doors for cockpit storage lockers have been professionally refinished The soft goods are in very nice condition. The cabin upholstery and carpet is newer and in good shape and clean. The factory original headliner is also in tact and very nice. New wall covering behind sofa, as well. There are sleeping accommodations for 6 adults, 2 in the private V-berth, 2 on convertible dinette, and 2 on pull-out sofa. The galley is large, with AC/DC refrigerator and 2 burner electric/alcohol range. The head has a new marine toilet and separate shower stall. The bridge has seating for 8 - 10 people. The vinyl seats up top are newer and in very nice condition. There is a bimini top and enclosure in good shape, as well as a bridge cover. There is also a bimini top over the aft deck as well. The boat is in the water and in good running order. See the recent videos from July 9, 2014 of the boat under way! VALUE: Many of these boats sell for $18,000.00 to $25,000.00 on the internet and open market. This boat will sell for much less… Someone is going to get a GREAT DEAL!!! This boat and title are free of all liens and encumbrances. ASKING PRICE NOW REDUCED BY $20,000!! UPDATE: After having been inspected by mechanic and me from stem to stern, we put her in the water on the 24th of April, and brought her the 20nm to Lake Macatawa that weekend. She is now in our slip in Holland, Michigan. In preparation for this season, she received a new coat of ablative bottom paint, new skirting around the aft deck and fly deck, and a host of little projects to keep her as pretty as possible (polished the solid surface counter tops, additional coats of floor finish in the galley/salon, new window treatments in galley/salon, etc... stuff that really wasn't necessary, but I'm kind of picky). As planned, she is tight and sound. Her bilge runs maybe once a day for about 5 seconds, which is beautiful for a classic wooden motoryacht of her size. Offered for sale is our family's pride and joy, the Four Saturdays (the name is derived from our last name, which means Saturday in Polish, and our family of Four). I have spent 2010-2012 (losing count after 3000 man hours) completely restoring this classic. Pacemakers were handmade in Egg Harbor, New Jersey, until the company was purchase by Chris Craft. This motor yacht was brought to the Great Lakes thru the Erie Canal in 1966 to Minnesota, via the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers. She spent most of her life there, until I purchased and brought her back 1100 nautical miles to Lake Michigan. It is what I describe as a "restomod"... I've kept the classic lines of the vessel, but have improved most aspects of it for useability, longevity, and style in the modern world. Listed below will be a long, boring list of all of the work done, but, in a nutshell, the result is a very unique vessel that my family of four has enjoyed as a liveaboard for the last three summers. Because of this restoration, she is ready to last another 47 years. Four Saturdays garners a lot of attention as we cruise the waters around Holland, Michigan, and is reliable as the day is long. She's got a displacement hull, so she's not fast, but she'll run all week at 9-11 knots. The Detroit Diesels mated to Twin Disc transmissions start immediately, run flawlessly, and have only 2300 hours from NEW. Ask any diesel mechanic, and they will confirm that these motors are practically just broken in. The hull is tight and solid, and runs a bilge pump maybe 2 gallons an hour. We live on an end slip on Lake Macatawa, and it's the best lakefront property you'll ever get to enjoy. We had dreamed of moving somewhere warm and living on her year round, which would have been awesome. Unfortunately, we have decided to sell Four Saturdays to pursue some other opportunities. I may consider very compelling partial trades for automobiles or a 26-30' center console fishing boat. A vessel of this size can only be transported via waterway or ship transporter, so please consider this when bidding/buying. I may consider assisting in the transport of her to your desired destination (at additional cost). Notes: A. As some provenance, I have the original build file from Pacemaker that was obtained when the original offices were torn down. As some points of reference, in 1966 the average cost of new house was $14,200.00, average income per year was $6,900.00, and the average cost of a new car was $2,650.00. The price paid for this Pacemaker in 1966 was $79,751.75. In today's dollars, that's $573,693.23. B. I also have countless photos of the entire project stage, including the photos of the 2004/5 $200,000 hull restoration completed by a previous owner. Many of these photos are included in a professionally bound photo book. C. Many ask about maintenance. I was blessed with the time to do this project in a relatively short span of time, but involving thousands of man hours. Most cannot buy out the time to do so. Now that the vessel was stripped bare and completely built back up with longevity in mind, it's just a matter of keeping things that way, which is just like any other home, cottage, or asset. Normally I would agree with those who say NOT to buy a wooden boat... except for the Four Saturdays, because the hard work has all been done. I am in no way saying that she is perfect, but if you want perfect, buy a new plastic boat... costing hundreds of thousands of dollars (maybe millions) more, and nowhere near the uniqueness and character of a classic vessel. Below are the details of this vessel. We thank you for looking at her, and if you are a serious potential buyer and have questions or a request to see her in person, feel free to email me through eBay, or call me at two six nine five zero one three two three two. Obviously, we are selling her with no warranties, expressed or implied, but I have attempted to describe her as completely and honestly as possible. We do have the vessel for sale locally, so we reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Q: Your boat is beautiful! Job very well done! Do you know height of boat from waterline? What is your fuel burn/hr at cruising speed? Range? Boat sleeps? # staterooms, heads, showers? I see you use portable ac units. Are they effective? Do you have any heat source on board? How is boat stored in winter? Draft of boat? Thanks Feb-14-14 A: rob157, Thanks for your comment. We have truly enjoyed our time with her. To answer your questions: A. I have not measured lately the height above the waterline, but I believe it is about 20'. I know that without the lite mast, we navigated under the one bridge on the Illinois Riv. that is fixed at 17'. Sorry for the ambiguity, but since restoring, we have been in waters that are not inhibited by bridges. If you would like a more accurate measurement, please let me know. B. We normally cruise at hull speed, around 9.5-10 knots. My estimated fuel burn per hour is 8-10 GPH. It certainly varies by itinerary. Traveling S from Minnesota via the Mississippi, we cruised at 11 knots at 1.6 mpg. Obviously, because she is a displacement hull, she is never going to be fast, but she runs 5 knots at idle and will run all week at 8-12 knots. She has two 300 gal. rear tanks, fabricated new in 2005, and 2 auxiliary 100 gal. tanks in the engine room, 800 gals total. C. Boat sleeps 6-8. 3 staterooms: 1 master w/queen bed, stateroom 2 w/bunk beds, forward stateroom w/full size bed, and couch in salon that folds to full size bed. Two larger heads: master and main head with enlarged shower. Redesigned from original configuration. Also exterior H/C shower that we use a lot on the enlarged teak swim platform. D. Yes, we use portable A/C units, 2 12000 BTU models, as well as a new low profile 15000 BTU roof unit in the pilothouse, and they work very well. The original A/C was just too inefficient and unreliable. We purchased the portable units as a stopgap measure until we could afford a new bank of conventional marine A/Cs, but they worked so nicely we decided to keep them for the time being. We rarely need any heat source, but when necessary, we have a couple small portable electric heaters. E. Boat is stored outside on the hard in the winter. Firstly, due to my belief that the wood likes it better, and second, due to cost. F. I believe official draft is 3'8". Thanks.
