This 53 foot pacemaker is a beautiful boat with wonderful accents that will delight owners and guests. The most striking amenities are the lighted glass display cases in the salon area, plus the enclosed pilot house, the large galley, and a large and comfortable main aft cabin with a full-size bed, plenty of storage, a large hanging closet, and more. The main cabin also has an electric head, sink, and full-size separate shower. There is also a spacious flybridge and beautiful back deck for enjoying the wonderful summer weather. The owner says this 53-footer is a smooth-running and very comfortable yacht with a 16' 6" beam and a 3' 6" draft. It is powered by twin 8V71 naturally aspirated Detroit Diesel engines with 320 HP each and Allison transmissions. The port engine has only 2240 hours and the starboard engine has 2168 hours. There is also a 15 KW generator and hydraulic steering. This is a spacious liveaboard with washer and dryer hookups. The galley is equipped with full size appliances that include a propane stove, stand-up frig, combo microwave and convection oven, and garbage disposal. Both the bow and aft heads have sinks and showers. There is also a fold-out sofa for an extra sleeping area. The pilothouse area features a control station, storage, built-in ice box, wine fridge with glass door, a sink, trash compactor, storage cabinets, and plenty of seating. Inclosed doors that will open full width of pilothouse. Electronics include 48-mile Furuno radar and a VHF radio. The boat looks to be in good working order. The seller states it runs great and can be taken out at any time. The seller states the gauges and electronics are in working order except for the autopilot. The cockpit deck has some normal crazing of the gel coat. The gunnel covering boards could be refinished. There is some slight wood rot under the overhang. The swim platform was solid and looked in good condition. The exterior gel coat looked in good overall condition for its age. The gel coat was coated with Poli-glow and could use a new coat to make the boat nice and shiny. The exterior teak needs to be refinished. The cabin was clean and odor-free. The door opened fine, the windows open with no issues. No signs of water intrusion were present. The blinds and headliner are original and show normal wear-and-tear. The cushions, floor and interior wood look to be in great condition. The head was clean and odor-free. The master stateroom was clean, the seller stated the hatch was recently replaced. Below deck, the engines show corrosion and the bilge could use a cleaning. The seller discloses the generator is in need of repair. 1980 Pacemaker Flybridge,Lengthy restoration nearly completed, needs engines and fuel tanks, ready for diesel or gas. Beam 13.5ft. Old 454 Crusaders and tanks have been removed and discarded. I still have the transmissions, Marine Engines in Holliston, MA will trade for rebuilt trans for approx. $950. each. They also have good rebuilt engines for about $3,000. each if you go with gas. I have the aluminum oil pans, valve covers, engine brackets, flywheels, bellhousings, and oil coolers all thoroughly cleaned and repainted with Crusader blue. I also have a set of exhaust manifolds used one season. Projects completed: bilges have been completely scrubbed and painted; engine/salon hatches redone and re-insulated; sliding glass/screen doors restored; all windows removed, new tracking and glaze; wiring, new AC panels and rewired with two 30amp power cord inlets and new fuse links; new DC panels added for additional circuits including for flybridge; new running lights; all new engine gauges including synchronizers; new battery boxes(4)[will need batteries]; new trim tab pistons [needs pump and switch]; new Morse controls and cables; all new bronze thru-hull fittings and ball valves; new Rule 2000 bilge pumps(3), switches, and bilge hoses with Marelon thru-hulls; new Norcold AC/DC refrigerator; new microwave; new Origo alcohol/electric stove; new galley exhaust fan; new fan and reading lights in forward stateroom; new bilge blowers(3) and vent hose; new faucet fixtures in galley, head, and shower with new shower sump; new hot water heater and freshwater pump; new salt water washdown; new electric head, holding tank, macerator and Y-valves; new AM/FM/CD with speakers in salon and cockpit; new hydraulic steering and hardware (needs helm); stuffing boxes repacked and new stuffing box hose and clamps; numerous new fishing rod holders, outriggers, and stand up tackle box; new hull liner and vinyl galley floor; new compressor air horn; new mirrors; window curtains in good shape; helm seats in good shape.This is a solid seaworthy boat, the mold from which the 33' Egg Harbors were made, 1980-1987, after the Pacemaker line was temporarily dropped.
