Opportunity knocks... 38' Californian Trawler / Long Range Cruiser. Priced below market value - for immediate sale - for a serious buyer. Nice clean boat - ready for your enjoyment. Located in a great slip in Marina del Rey, CA. This Californian Trawler was built in the USA, in Santa Ana California in 1978 You will experience a SOLID quality ride on the ocean, with this classic, quality-built trawler. (You are getting American Quality here – not like those cheap Taiwanese trawlers made with substandard parts by 6 year old kids in a sweatshop) This can be your vacation home on the water. Only 10 minutes from LAX airport, and convenient to all best parts of Southern California. Three (3) huge decks - plenty of room and easy to walk around. Great for parties. Bathroom with walk in shower+bathtub. Plus another head with walk in shower adjacent to 2 bunkbeds upfront. This boat would make a good rental on AirBNB. I originally advertised it there at $149/night and had quite a bit of interest, (but decided it's not my thing to have strangers sleeping on my boat). You can probably rent it out for 10 nights/month and cover all your costs. The engines now have about 900 ORIGINAL hours on them. That is almost like a new boat – when you consider this is a 33 year old boat!! The boat had only 2 previous owners. Previous owner had it for nearly 30 years before I purchased it in October 2010. Please shop around and compare similar boats on the market and you will see the value offered here. This yacht has 2 (full size) beds in the main sleeping area along with a nice size bathroom with shower and bathtub. There is also a second area in the front with 2 bunk beds and a bathroom with shower. Importantly, this boat DOES NOT SMELL! (I remember when I was shopping for boats and about 90% of them had that funky boat smell. The good news is that this boat is NOT one of them.) The carpet, and drapes on the boat are from original owner, and are due for a replacement. I was planning on replacing these, but will leave that up to you, the new owner to choose exactly what colors/fabrics you like after you buy the boat. NOTE: some of the photos show zebra/leapoard fabric on the upholstery. My girlfriend put that on because she thought it was more fun than the original 70's fabric. However if you prefer the boring original fabric, you can simply pull off the zebra/leopard cover. Boat is in good running order, and ready for your enjoyment. Below are the only material problems with the boat that I am aware of. (I prefer you to know any and all negatives in advance, so that we don't waste time.) - Missing anchor and chain (About $600 to replace) - 1 of the 2 radars not functioning due to cut wire (You will probably want to replace with digital radar anyway) - Above 2000 RPM, port engine gaskets start leaking. Contact Seller 2000 Sea Ray Amberjack, 2000 sea ray Amberjack for sale by owner/ The Amberjack was designed to combine fishing and cruising into one yacht,,i have owned many larger boats and this is the best all around and awesome sea boat i have owned yet! with it's length of 29 feet and beam of 10.6 and dry weight of 11000 lbs makes it an incredible ride!it's a perfect combination. Ok enough bragging so lets get down to some details,,I'm an engine builder by trade so i completely overhauled both 5.7 tbi injected engines/bored 030 over with the best of everything internally they both have about 50 hours on them, the outdrives are bravo III with dual props which i had reconditioned and balanced and is very smooth/gear lube in perfect condition/the exhaust manifolds and risers are mercruiser and are fairly new.I installed a northern lights 5kw 3 cylinder diesel generator which runs forever on a gallon of fuel i installed a 25 gallon fuel tank which can be filled through a deck plate. I installed a new high dollar 110v battery charger,I installed a new 12 gallon 110v hot water heater and also has new deka marine batteries.I installed a new jabsco fresh water pump, it has a halon fire system in engine room as well. Ok now lets get out of the engine room and onto above deck. The electronics are all raytheon and run in a network with each other, I just bought the new raytheon A7X gps with the new downVision transducer,the other electronics came with the boat which include,24 mile ratheon pathfinder 70rl w chart plot,depth sounder,icom vhf,ratheon loran/gps for back up/ new vhf ant,has marine tv ant,windlass,auto spotlight on bow new anchor and line and also new dock bumpers,has a nice live well with sink and lighted fish box on the stern. I just installed New Taco Outriggers and mounts. All of the canvas accessories are new including all the eisenglass it also encloses the entire deck and has screening to keep the bugs out All lights and switches work on this boat.Ok now inside the galley,, has a full head w vacuflush, hot and cold water shower and also has a shower station on the back deck,i installed a new nova kool ac/dc fridge/freezer i installed a new kenyon 110v/alcohol burner,i have a clarion am/fm/cd/with alpine amp system, it has central a/c and heat which has a new compressor, i just installed a new flat screen tv/dvd and mounted it on a wall.This boat needs absolutely nothing!as you can read and everything works all sytems are go! I am getting ready to take it to the keys for the summer in June.I have a 18000 triple axle rolls trailer in perfect shape w all new tires which is available for this boat if need be and is not included in the price of the boat.
