1972 Pearson 35 The Pearson 35 keel/centerboard was originally launched in 1968 and was in production for over 14 years - with 514 hulls built she was a very popular model! Built as a replacement to Pearson's very popular Alberg 35, the in-house designer Bill Shaw wanted a more performance oriented sailing boat that would also be popular in the shoal draft areas of the Great Lakes and East Coast. She was a great success at accomplishing this goal. Rampage has been on the Great Lakes all of her life in fresh water. An anchor windlass has been added, as well as a transom ladder. There are lazy jacks for the mainsail. Roller furling has been added, as well as a new waste tank. The fuel tank has been replaced. The toilet rebuilt. New Tic Tack electronics were installed. New interior cushions were added. A newer stereo was added to the inventory and a Delta anchor and chain. A bimini was added and there are jack stands for winter lay up. This boat has the great Universal Atomic Four gas engine that has been proven over many years and thousands of hours of use in thousands of sailboats. The hours on this engine are not known, but it appears to operate properly. Her hull topsides were professionally painted a few years ago and will only need some polishing. The cove stripe is in need of renewing. The decks were painted by the present owner a few years ago. The bottom of this boat has a heavy build up of paint. The Ensign Class Assoc. describes it, "As a family day sailor, the Ensign has a large, deep cockpit, with enough room to comfortably seat six to eight adults. Its full keel provides a secure, stable ride, and its three foot draft makes it perfect for the shallower waters of bays and lakes and for anchoring fairly close to a protected shore. The cabin space is more than adequate for keeping lots of gear dry, for providing immediate refuge from rainy weather, and can even sleep a couple of people... even more if they are friendly." It can also be raced and there are regular races in Brooklyn's waters. This sale includes the boat and sails, a 5 hp Honda outward, vintage 2013, with about 120 miles of use, a new marine radio, a marine head (never used), a rubber raft (never used), a wheeled cradle for winter storage, a boat cover, and a ladder. 1982 Pearson 37 This 1982 Pearson 37 is located in Rhode Island with easy access from CT and MA. This is not what you would expect from a 1982 vintage Pearson 37. From 2000 thru 2003, Duck underwent a huge refit. Classic 1980 Person 35 w centerboard shoal draft and equipped w Fairclaugh custom canvas cover and 400 lb mooring. On the hard in Oyster Bay, New York - ready for viewing. Well maintained vessel. Masthead sloop w deck stepped mast and aluminum spreader. Equipped w Harken roller furling on jib (new 2004), Main sail (very good condition), Genoa 110 and 135. All sails are in good to very good condition. Lots of storage, great u-shaped aft galley, large sink, expansive counter space makes for ease in entertaining. Mast, standing rigging were replaced in 2003/2004. Summer of 2010 new motor mounts, alternator, water pump, water separator, fuel pump and added 2nd fuel filter. 2014 new bilger pump and fresh water pump, 2010 new heat exchanger, muffler system and 6 gallon hot water tank as well and black water holding tank, head and pipiong. 2007/2008 replaced Spectra line and rollers for raising centerboard. Vessel equipped w Garman GPS Model 500 (purchased 2011), VHF radio, depth sounder and speed indicator, hot/cold pressurized water, shower, new (2004) Lerwmar external mount anchor windlass, fresh water wash down in anchor locker, private bathoroom has head, shower and sink.
