We sailed this legendary blue water cruiser from St Croix to New York city in late spring 2020. We then began stripping her down for a refit. Now partners have moved away and the boat needs to change hands. The hull is amazing. One look and you know she will sail anywhere in the world, and quickly. The center cockpit design is wonderful to sail and the aft captains cabin and private head are a very welcome feature. She's been repowered with a rebuild Perkins 4-164 that runs like a tank, we averaged 0.78 gallons per hour on the last crossing. Comes with all standing and moving rigging, some is old and some is less old, but it's all there. Same with the sails. I believe we have 90% of the deck hardware as well. A couple of the stanchions need replacing and the traveler needs to be rebuilt. All winches are in tact and most recently rebuilt. We have stripped the bulkheads from the V-berth to the salon, as well as the chainplate stringers. New stringers have been begun but need to be finished. Needs forward bulkheads done, floor stringers and flooring, fuel and water tankage, and could use new electrical. We have three batteries aboard but our plan was to completely overhaul the electrical system so thats what we recommend. You can rebuild to the original floorplan or go custom for your intended use as was our plan. There is a 40-45 gal fuel tank in her now, originally she was set up for 117 gal fuel and 132 gal water. Decks have been sanded and patched, ready for paint. Portlights have been removed and we began cleaning and refitting them. They will need to be cleaned up and refit. The Port side caprail was removed and will need to be replaced. The boat comes with a lot of solid mahogany, marine ply, and MDO for rebuilding. This boat is PERFECT for you if: - You want a bulletproof and fast blue water, open ocean cruiser - You have more know-how than cash - You are comfortable fiberglassing We literally have most of the material on board for the rebuild. You will need tools and a place to keep her on the hard for a coupe months while you finish her up.

1980 Peterson Sloop A racer/cruiser designed by Doug Peterson. The boat has been continually kept up and improved. A new diesel engine was installed in 2008. It is a three cylinder vetus/mitsubishi with 27hp. This is a vast improvement over the Atomic 4 gasoline engine that came with the boat. There is a double berth in the forward cabin, a double quarter berth aft, and three single berths in the main cabin. There is a deep stainless steel sink in the galley and a large insulated ice box. There are foot pumps for the water in the galley and the head. The boat sails well to a phrf rating of 129. We have won the Molokai return race of Kaneohe Yacht Club the last two years.

1981 Peterson Delta 45 This is another great example of the Doug Peterson design built in the Tawainese Shin Hsing Yard. Based on the world renowned KP-44 design, this blue water cruiser, like most of them, has likely been there.  If you are looking for a capable, two stateroom, two head liveaboard, and plan to cruise the sea of Cortez and Mexico, or sail to the South Pacific this boat, is  one to seriously consider.  With the 39’ waterline, cutter ketch rig, and center cockpit, you will find her a comfortable, dry, and great sailing ocean boat.  Built with hand-laid fiberglass, the solid hull has a 10,000 lb. encapsulated ballast keel, protected prop, and skeg hung rudder, serious features you just won’t find on light new boats.   The sailing performance of the Peterson design is forgiving, and often surprising in both light and heavy airs. She practically sails herself, making over 150 mile days offshore, comfortably handling sea states that keep other boats in anchorages. You can be sure that she'll deliver your family to your next port in safety and comfort.  A pleasure to own, live aboard, and sail, you’ll find very few blue water yachts that are in the same overbuilt league, especially at this price.  Wait till you see the quality of the interior woodwork!  Owner has another boat, and priced this one for a quick sale.  Make an appointment to see Sea Biscuit soon.

1978 Peterson Custom 35 s/v Meyden is a special boat, a great sailing choice, and in very nice condition.  Designed by Doug Peterson, she's the better-built Canadian version of his 1 ton cup racer Ganbare (1973).  Builder Don Martin added additional ribs, stiffening up the hull and providing much more support for the keel.  The tall owner had the coach-house raised for 6' 4" headroom, fitted her out, and launched in 1982.  Lovingly maintained and varnished, Meyden did a few Swiftsure and local races, and has been the family cruiser for years.  This is a serious sailors boat, not a first boat, maybe a second, and one that will sail upwind way better than most.  She's not as roomy as a C&C or Catalina, and too heavy to be competitive in the short buoy races, but let her run and she will be a delight to sail.If you are interested in a special boat, at a very fair price, call me and let's talk about this preliminary listing.
