1988 Vantare 42 Aft Cabin Trawler The 1980s brought us a great many aft cabin trawlers in the 40 to 46 foot range. This particular model, the 42 Vantare, has done as fine a job as any at giving its owners an exceptional amount of room, a well-lit interior, and lots of both indoor and outdoor living space. And it's all done it with classy styling. The interior has mirrors in virtually every room providing a feeling of spaciousness, plus the furnishings are very attractive. As a potential live-aboard she would be quite a comfortable boat. This vessel compares very favorably to a Ponderosa or a Californian. These boat details are subject to contract. 1987 CHB 42 Aft Cabin Trawler CHB Trawlers were built and branded under a half dozen or more names and are ubiquitous on the used boat market. This CHB 42 design has been popular because of its spaciousness and versatility. What makes this a special boat and one you want to buy are price and condition! The seller reports he has invested over $250,000 in this boat. Since 2006 he has restored, repaired, re-powered, upgraded and improved the boat constantly, continuing to add new navigational equipment as recently as this fall. It's large enough to be used comfortably as a live-aboard yet with a single recently-installed modern engine it's efficient and affordable to operate yielding 1.5 gallons per hour on a 2011 Alaska trip. The bottom on this vessel has been peeled and epoxy coated creating a smooth surface today. Similar brands include C&L Trawlers, Puget Trawlers, and Ponderosa. And she even compares well to a Grand Banks for space and amenities, at a much lower cost. It is also a new enough version to not be heavily loaded with exterior teak. Taking into account condition, equipment and recent upgrades this boat is an extraordinary value! These boat details are subject to contract.Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
