The local and visiting consultant was really impressed having the opportunity to see this listing in person. The interior, cushion, bench seats were in very nice condition free from any wear or tears. The exterior was shiny, there are areas that could use some TLC with finish. The bottom and seams would be do for caulking and sanding. Stock #247172 Rare classic Chris Craft Capri. Original Thunderbolt engine, Mahogany Wood. Looking for a piece of history, 1955 Chris-Craft Capri 21, which is the rarer version than the smaller option that Chris-Craft built. The vessel is powered by the original engine MBL Inboard that produces 158HP. Direct drive with shaft and bronze propeller. The seller has set the price point almost half of what similar vessels in this age and size have been sold for. The seller understands this vessel will need some TLC to bring back to full glory. The vessel is equipped with the soaker hose that allows for water to be run through-out the hull to allow the wood planks to swell to give the watertight seal. The forward sport light will need to be re-installed but is present and the original. The seller advised due to the prep with the hull and this boat not been in the water for a few seasons. Can not include a water trial as part of the inspection. Also the ignition switch was vandalized and removed, so unable to turn over the engine, please be aware when submitting your offer. Reason for selling is not using at this time.

This is the same boat that was on the news being beached in New Smyrna on Sunday May 18th.The salvage operation was a much larger endeavor than expected and subsequently cost a great deal more money than expected. The salvage operation is complete as far as removing it from the beach goes. Though my asking price doesn't come anywhere near covering everything, the boat was my home and I lost nearly every possession I had so at this point I have to cut my losses as best as I can. It breaks my heart to have to lose my home but I know that I don't have the means to restore it so I'm hopeful that someone else will be able to make her the boat that I dreamed of making her. The boat is currently in a storage yard in Port Orange which has a daily rate which will be putting me further into debt as I DID NOT have insurance. All reasonable offers will be considered, I will keep track of offers and will go with the highest offer to try and recoup some of the funds already spent during the salvage operation when she was beached. The boat is very large; 38 feet long, 14 feet wide, and 18 feet tall and it weighs 21,600 pounds. It requires more than a general trailer and automobile to move, there must be special equipment for transport because of the size. The boat was running right before getting beached. The engines died causing the boat to be pulled out the inlet from the point of disappearing island by the tide which reversed pushing the boat back towards the beach. The anchor was put out once the boat was out of the inlet but would not grab due to the loose sand on the bottom. It is not currently in running condition because it flooded while beached. The interior has a great amount of water damage so it needs work inside. It will not currently float as it lost a rudder while it was beached and one of the struts for the propeller shaft caused damage during salvage. The selling price does not include transportation, only the boat and all the contents. At the time of the purchase, it will be the buyers responsibility to arrange for storage and transport. Feel free to call and I will answer any questions you may have. Included is a picture while beached and another a few years before the incident. $4000 or Best Offer.

For your consideration for the next seven days is a 1947 Chris Craft Special Runabout. Hull # R -16 -796 . This boat has undergone a complete restoration over the past several years and has won Best In Show awards at both shows it attended. First, the hull: She has a new 5200 style bottom with the best quality Bruynzeel Okume marine plywood available for inner layer and clear white cedar outer planking. The bottom framing was replaced using white oak as was original. All fastenings are new USA made silicon bronze. Side planking is also all new clear white cedar, and the decks are all new Philippine mahogany. There are approximately 12 coats of Epifanes varnish on the brightwork and 6 coats of Petit Easypoxy on sides and bottom. Now hardware:The hardware is all original to this boat and has been rechromed. All rubrails have all been straightened and polished. Fasteners are new, chromed brass, Frearson head screws on the chrome hardware and stainless Frearson, yes stainless Frearson ( I had them made) on the stainless rubrails, cutwater and flat trim. Engine: The engine is the original one to the boat. It's a Chris Craft Model K, 95 hp, 6 cylinder, based on the Hercules QXD series. It has been rebuilt with new piston rings, and rod and main bearings. All sizes are standard, meaning the crank didn't need to be ground and the cylinders didn't need to be bored. The original pistons were cleaned and reused. If it ain't broke..... Valves and seats were ground and reused. Valve guides were replaced. Carburetor was rebuilt too. No, this was not an all-inclusive $9k rebuild with new everything. There was no need for it. This engine runs great with great oil pressure and starts every time. And it's 6 volt! Upholstery:All new upholstery using top quality marine vinyl to correct factory dimensions. Original style Kapok filling in cushionsNew correct style linoleum flooring for originality. Electrical:All new cloth covered wire matched to the factory original colors and sizes. Original gauges all function properly as does the original horn. New bilge pump. It's 12 volt but will do fine on 6. Boat doesn't leak anyway. Generator charges as it should. Trailer:Also included with the boat is a 2013 aluminum Vantage trailer complete with all legal paperwork. Propeller has been trued and balancedNew Aquamet stainless prop shaftNew custom fit Sunbrella cover included too. In short, this little boat has been restored to very high standards befitting a boat of much higher value. The father / son restoration team has over 50 years of combined boatbuilding and restoration experience on boats of all price ranges and sizes. If someone was to pay to have a similar boat restored, the cost would be at least double the asking price here today. In 2014 this boat won the Best In Show awards at both the Southern New England and Baystate Woodies shows, scoring in the mid 90 point range both times. This boat is in very good running condition. My original intention was to refit all systems and have accumulated all the major parts to do so. Check below to see all items included that will need to be installed. I have had the boat since 2006 (believe I'm the 4th owner) and have taken it on several trips over the years without problem. Had to cancel two trips this year due to family obligations. Reason for selling is my current situation is not conducive to keeping the boat. Overall length is 29'10" including the swim platform with a beam of 10'8". It has a hardtop and large cockpit, yet the cabin is still very spacious for a 28 footer. Original motor was a Marine Power 305, but previous owner repowered with a 350 block in 1992. Hours are unknown due to the hour-meter being faulty and disconnected when I purchased the vessel. I knew the previous owner and felt confident with the boat/engine condition. I have put roughly 60 hours on the engine. Shaft, cutlass bearing, and seal were replaced in 2008. The seal is PSS dripless. Propeller is a Nibral 16x18 new this year. Also have a spare bronze prop. Electronics - Standard Horizon CP300 Chartplotter w/ current chart card, FF550 Fishfinder & ST526 Transducer, Standard Horizon GX 3000 VHF New Equipment NOT installed: Plumbing - Raritan Sea-Era electric head (Mod 160MF012), Sealand 28 gal. holding tank, 6 gal. Raritan water heater w/ heat exchanger, Todd 25 gal. fresh water tank, Jabsco SensorMax VSD Freshwater Pump (Mod 31755) Air Conditioning - Webasto FCF 12000btu w/reverse cycle heat(mounted in boat), March water pump, all fittings, hose, vents, and electrical for installation. Electrical - Sterling Power 40 Amp 3 bank charger. Sterling Power Pro-Split Alternator Splitter - 3 bank, Blue Sea 30A breaker panel for Air Cond., Blue Sea DC 100A 13 positon panel for accessories The boat is currently in the water and available for a sea trial at your convenience. However, I will be out of town July 25 - 31. Buyer must take delivery within a reasonable amount of time at boat club on Grosse Ile, MI where vessel is currently docked. All expenses for delivery/transport will be responsibility of buyer. I will pay for hoist service at it's current location on Grosse Ile if needed.

BOAT OWNER'S NOTES; Call John at 434-990-1943. Chris Craft 350 Catalina $17,900 "AS IS", Please read my Autobiography. Hello, I am THERAPY IV and was launched in 1980 - one of the early Fiberglass Chris Crafts and I am currently located in Northern Neck, Virginia. My primary responsibility was to provide great THERAPY for my Captain and his bride of more than 50 years; my secondary responsibility was serving my country as a USGS Auxiliary Safety Patrol Boat from 2003 - 2008 performing vessel facility inspections. My 3 blade propeller is powered by two rebuilt 270 HP inboard GM 350s with less than 100 hours use, I could cruise effortlessly at 14 knots and I could give you 24 knots max anytime you ask fueled by 175 gallon tanks. Just before my owner passed away three years ago he had trouble starting my engines and had a mechanic take a look at me, The mechanic said my carburetors needed to be rebuilt (due to the new kind of gasoline). My rebuilt carburetors arrived just about the time my owner passed away and were installed and tested in 2010, The mechanic also reported my port engine needed some repair and that my batteries needed replacing, *please see notes below. Now for the good news and the rest of my story, my hull is a Modified Vee, with a 35 foot length and 13 foot beam and my dry weight is 17,229 pounds, with accommodations that include a great fully equipped galley area with Oven and Electric Range 3 burner Princess, Microwave and full-size refrigerator, 4 twin berths for comfortable sleeping, 2 cabins, and 1 Marine head w/holding tank w/deck pump out including lavatory and shower w/hot water. The Constellation was generally considered to be the top of the line mahogany cruiser offered by Chris-Craft from it's inaugural year,1955, through 1972, the year the last mahogany cruiser was delivered. The Constellations were constructed using mahogany planks over oak frames, and they were fitted for comfort and elegance. There were very few accessories offered since every imaginable accessory was already included on these marvelous yachts. The Promises is a Salon Model featuring double staterooms (Forward and aft) and a very spacious salon equipped with a modern, though Classic, amidship galley. Each stateroom has a insuite head, the forward head has access from the salon, and the aft head is equipped with a full shower. The Salon models were advertised as sleeping 6, but can easily accommodate 8 people. and a max of 44 people allowed on board! That would be a Great cocktail party! The aft cabin is located below the command bridge. A very comfortable aft deck is also an outstanding feature of this immaculate cruiser. This 1963 Chris Craft 42' Constellation (45' Total) is in excellent condition, There were only 50 of these ever produced...This is #15 and I have only been able to find 3 others! This exact Model was on the Popular "The Fugitive" SHe was considered a Class Act it would make an outstanding Live a Board Boat, or long range cruiser. Some of things that have been done in the last 3 weeks... Re-sanded and treating all the decks, rails and trim. King size bed in the captains quarters, ! 2 Fire places, L shaped couch, NEW! Counters, New Gelcoat on salon Roof and More. We have put quite a bit of Money into her and have done even more in the month of August with Painting the Entire vessel with Marine Grade topside paint, More Varnish fixed crowding issue and more. Twin 454 Crusader engines, which run flawless, you can motor this boat with confidence, Recent repairs and maintenance to engines include circulating pumps, raw pumps, all service items including spark plugs, oil etc, The boat was recently motored from Miami to Cape Coral, up the Intracoastal Waterway , across Lake Okeechobee, and finally the Caloosahatchee , The trip took aprox 3 days and it performed perfectly and burned approx 140 gallons of fuel,. Has Gone to Stuart, FL (154 miles) and back to Fort Myers Beautiful Trip! The cruiser is the typical layout, Center Salon forward berth Master to rear, both rooms having their own head, the rear head has a shower all items on the boat function correctly, including Complete Halon system in the engine room hot water heater pressure water system a/c bilge system lighting gauges the boat also comes with a 4 cylinder generator, which is a hand crank Kohler (They used in the Army) THis is a great feature as you don't need batteries to start her. Brand new rebuilt magento. A brand new rebuilt carb but still needs a mechanic to go through the generator. 2 cylinders are showing no compression. The generator was sitting for quite a long time so it could be stuck valves at the least. It's just a cool feature . Not that any one around here would anchor out in the middle of nowhere over night but still nice to have The boat makes a grand impression, Even at the dock, People can't help but stop and talk about her. People even remember her from the show, The Fugitive. It would be hard pressed to find another in this condition , and it is turn key The boat will come with 2 spare props and 1 spare prop shaft, as insurance on those long cruises, She has had her port and starboard side decks sanded and varnished and the deck at the bow also sanded down and varnished as well as as the rear deck...Basically, all decks...
