1970 Bell Boy 19' Deep V. lapstrake, Vintage, restored 1970 19" Bell Boy. High performance hull with deep V and lapstrake design. Heavy duty fiberglass. 2012 Evinrude E-Tec 200 HP with 8 hours. Installed March 2013 by Jacobsen Marine in Seattle. This is the best fiberglass small craft built in Washington State. Bell Boy was the first fiberglass boat built in the USA...built by Bellingham Boat Co. When they lost their factory space in Bellingham in the mid- 1960s, Bell Boy was bought by Sabre Craft. Sabre Craft built this superb boat in Tacoma in 1970. This deep V, lapstrake hull was only made a few years before Sabre Craft folded.Specifications:19' in length....classic fiberglass deep V, lapstrake hull design.7' 6" beam...a big 19, based on the 20 and 22 feet hull designs.Heavy duty fiberglass construction...1/2 inch thick at bow.Deep V hull...the best made for rough water conditions that are often found in Puget Sound, the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean.Fiberglass lapstrake hull design....the best for handling rough water also.Super solid hull and transom.Deep lapstrake side walls for increased safety in all conditions.Recent deck replacement with fully glassed in deck.New 44 gallon Westport fuel tank...replacing 2 smaller tanks fore and aft.Replaced and upgraded electronics. All work, including original wipers.Kicker motor mount.Crab pot puller deck mount.Downrigger and pole mounts.New 2012 Evinrude E-Tec 200 HP motor. Yearly tabs only $50.00Trailer licensed thru June 2017.This Bell Boy was used by the previous owner in Puget Sound for salmon and rockfish fishing and crabbing. HE also used in the Columbia River and out to Buoy 10 in the Pacific Ocean. He said it was the fastest boat coming back in over the bar. The great hull design is responsible for the terrific performance, handling and comfortable ride.I have made 4 runs in the Bell Boy in Lake Washington. It is a beautifully performing boat...fast & comfortable. It easily does power turns at 45 knots with no sliding during turns. I have had it up to 55 on straight runs. The 200 HP Evinrude E-Tec performs flawlessly. It is powerful and lightweight for it's output. I have a 90 HP Evinrude E-Tec on my Wooldridge Alaskan and have had absolutely no issues with it in over 8 years of use. These Evinrude E-Tecs are great motors. This 1970 Bell Boy is a classic boat with a new 200 E-tec, $29950

It is a maintenance free, heavy duty, fiberglass fishing boat with: 2 built in live wells, custom built rod holders from the manufacturer for it, a front casting / fishing platform, with additional locking storage in the front. It has an all aluminum rear engine transom plate, stainless steel hardware through-out and all aluminum toggle box controlling LED lighting all through-out the boat. All maintenance free!!! Further, the interior is nice and DEEP for standing in and stability, including depth in the live wells. The boat has front & rear (stern & bow) LED Coast guard lighting, 2 additional sets of pole Coast guard LED pop in lights front & rear, interior night LED lighting, built in live well LED lighting and a set of aerators in live well, with custom battery to run system. You can use one side for live bait and the other to keep your catch alive or to stow once caught. The boat will also come with a BRAND NEW bimini top, and a BRAND NEW new trolling motor, both still in boxes in garage. I was told that there was only 3 of these custom boats built, this being one of them. They are solid built and sturdy boats, with all the best features of a smaller flats / skiff style fishing boat. Here's a little history of Critchfield Marine I dug up... Bill Critchfield was a boat racer and builder based in Florida. His company, Critchfield Marine offered Sabre Boats according to a Feb. 24, 1967 article in the St. Petersburg Times. The dealer for Sabre boats in the St. Petersburg area was Van Bros Chris Craft Inc. It is unclear when Critchfield began manufacturing boats but a Critchfield runabout appeared in a Mercury Outboard Test in 1958 (See Below). At this time Critchfield Marine was in Orlando, Florida. According to a Sept. 20, 1973 article in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, North American Products Corp. of Sarasota, Florida dropped its entire line of boats to instead produce five models from Critchfield Marine molds as Lightning Boats. William P. Farmer, president of North American, had bought some of the Critchfield molds from Wellcraft Marine Corp., also of Sarasota. Wellcraft had bought Critchfield Marine's property, some tooling and plant equipment. Also INCLUDED in this package deal is a 2006 Tohatsu 4 stroke, 15" SHORT SHAFT tiller, 9.8hp outboard motor that has been GARAGE KEPT and has maybe 20 total hrs on it. I just dropped it off for its regular spring tune it, to include the usual impeller change, ($200) done to make this Spring fishing for someone perfect. This motor has always been a 1-2 pull start motor, flawless, strong running and very fuel efficient. You can go several days on $6 gallons of fuel. The fuel tank and connections all included. You will even get a boat anchor, and tie lines. In addition, I have a custom built, galvanized, welded seams- heavy-duty, TILT trailer for this boat in LIKE NEW condition. A perfect match for it in every way. It too is in exc condition, with new 13" tires and galvanized wheels, hubs/bearing, all LED lighting front, back and sides, wiring, winch, kick-up jack, etc, etc., etc. The trailer alone is a $1000. Easy loader in every way. I have all MENTIONED above... a great combo, for a reasonable price of $4895.00... Serious enquiries only, COD, no Paypal garbage or wire monies non-sense...COD ... ************ NO LOW BALLERS... I DO NOT HAVE TO SELL IT... **************** Call me if interested... title in hand for boat / trailer. All are from Florida, and in great shape. I may consider separating boat n trailer, from motors. (941) 228-8631
