I have up for sale a 1976 Saf-T-Mate runabout with a 1974 Mercury 850 85HP outboard on the back. Went into the marina this spring for a tuneup and carb adjustments, runs good but has not been on the water all summer, and has not been started since the spring. Gas is good. Virtually everything on this boat has been replaced. The floor is solid. The boat is light enough that it can be towed by your average sedan.The boat is technically a Four Winns as Saf-T-Mate was Four Winns before it was Four Winns. The boat was made up in Cadillac.The boat will also come with a tow behind tube for tubing.Here is a video of it running on a lake, tops out about 30mph, if the motor mounting bracket gets moved up a little I'd imagine it can go fasterhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBRqMwxqKVIHere is a list of all new parts and fixes done to the boat:Entire boat as well as motor have been rewired.New main power harness to the motorNew timing beltNew fuel lines throughout the motorBoth carbs have been rebuiltNew propeller New water pumpNew fuel pumpNew impellerNew throttle cablesNewer radio systemReplaced the throttle control boxBoat did not initially have a power trim/tilt system, I have added one.All trim/tilt hydraulics hoses are newThe trailer has a Fulton Hide-away installed on the front neck, which can be unpinned and folded back for storage, will fit in a standard garage no problem. Has Fulton trailer guides installed, makes loading and unloading very easy.The rollers on the trailer are starting to show age and could be replaced.The seats are pretty worn and are ripped open and the carpet is getting to be the same, but both are still completely usable also the tachometer does not work.
