The current owner purchased this Sea Ray 300 Weekender approximately 5 years ago. He explains it runs well but the engine hours are unknown. He is forthcoming that there are features that don't work as intended such as the air conditioning likely needs a new compressor, the generator and macerator do not work, and the windlass needs a gear replaced to work. However, there are many nice features, the cockpit and salon are large and comfortable and the cockpit upholstery is in nice condition as is the full camper enclosure. The seller inherited this boat but cannot use so must sell. According to the seller, all systems function as they should, all upholstery and carpeting is in good shape, electronics and mechanical function as they should. This 1994 Sea Ray appears to be in good condition. The starboard engine block has been replaced, There is a warranty with this. The isinglass is new. This Sea Ray appears in good condition. The gel coat is shiny with no signs of deterioration. Canvas and isinglass look good, and interior upholstery is in good condition. This boat was damaged during a storm. The damage is: Side windshield broken - - piece of Plexiglas will fix. One porthole broken - - Plexiglas again. Rub rail on one side off - - I do have the piece. Bow rails bent - - I think they can be straightened. Vent grills missing - - buy on ebay. Engine is a big block 454 Mercury. The boat was very well maintained prior to storm but has sat for over a year negotiating with the insurance company. I bought this boat from the insurance company a year ago. I lost the paperwork and the keys and lost interest in it. I now have all paperwork, clean South Carolina title & Registration stickers. I also have a new ignition switch with keys that I will install. When I got it a year ago, The engine started right up with a shot of carb cleaner but the gas in the tank is bad and needs to be pumped out and the carburetor probably needs cleaned. Oil and fluids are all clean and I did run it long enough to verify the outdrive shifts and works. The interior shows well, all cushions are intact and upholstery looks good. Bottom paint looks good. Trailer pulled it real nice and has all new springs and hardware - - needs bow winch adjusted to fit. Trailer is worth 1/2 asking price. Paypal for deposit only. When the most important categories of recommendations are attended this vessel should be considered suitable for its intended purpose, which is service on the great lakes and tributaries. Based on the condition of this particular vessel and the equipment installed, the values put forth by both BUC and NADA could be considered as valid using the high retail figure of $19,000. 1994 Sea Ray Sundancer Some boat manufacturers change model names following design changes, but Sea Ray has been content to stick with a recognized and successful model even through some substantive changes. Such is the case with the 270 Sundancer, a small weekender/family cruiser which, in celebration of their 50th anniversary, Sea Ray reintroduced to their line after a hiatus of several years. The Sea Ray Sundancer (note two previous 270 Sundancer models) is built on the same solid fiberglass hull used for her immediate predecessor, but with a revised deck profile and an updated cockpit layout. With a relatively narrow ( for a 27-footer ) 8'6" beam, this is a trailerable boat. The companionway is on the centerline in this model, and the old bi-fold companionway door of the previous model was replaced with a sliding acrylic door that's easier to operate. Below, the Sundancer's mid-cabin floorplan features a convertible dinette/V-berth forward, a complete galley with generous counter space, and a standup head with sink and shower. The mid-stateroom includes a double bunk, sliding windows, and privacy curtain. On deck, a double helm seat with an aft-facing eat, refreshment center, and foldaway rear seat were standard.
