This is not a REPO or abused boat! Great family boat that handles Lake Erie beautifully and takes my family and I on several trips around the lake every year. I have had this boat for several seasons and it has never left me down. It has a great layout and accommodates families or couples with ease. The straight drives and wide beam make for an easy to service and low maintenance boat. Also, this layout is makes for a very predictable boat on the open lake or at the dock. Often I take this boat out by myself and can anchor, cruise, and dock without help due to the ease of access around the boat and great handling characteristics. On a recent trip with a fair amount of bad weather I calculated .62MPG while cruising at 22-24MPH (look at the pick of my mileage calculation on a several hundred mile trip). Not bad considering the cost of Gas engine maintenance vs. diesel. I calculate this every trip and find that I run .50 - .75 MPG on average. When I do the math it means I would need to use the boat for more than 100 hours/year for diesel to be cost effective. You should do the math too if you think diesels are more cost efficient. The maintenance will kill you if you aren't putting up big hours. FYI - Great Lakes average is about 30 hours / year.
