The exterior looks great and there's no visible damage. The gel coat has a nice shine with no fading or oxidation. The interior is just as impressive. The upholstery was recently updated. Overall the boat appears to be in very good condition; the current owner has replaced the Port lower unit, all hydraulic lines to the steering rams, new Bimini and full canvas/isinglass enclosure; this makes the aft deck a whole useable space for everyone's enjoyment. This boat does need some TLC, mostly cosmetic. It needs a new speedometer gauge and one new tach(glass lenses feel out of speedometer and indicator needle fell off of one tach). A couple of the toggle switches need replaced. The windows had leaked previously, but have been fixed. The headliner has some stains on it. Two(2) Mercruiser 4.3 V6's . Port engine has 852 hours & starboard engine has 773 hours as of 7/11/22. Tune ups and oil changes last year. Onan Generator, runs well. Also serviced last season. The port engine needs a new carburator. The seller has it, and is trying to find someone to put it on. Stock #251574 ***SALE PENDING*** Vinyl interior needs replaced. This is a 1990 Sea Ray 280 Sundancer with a 10'6 foot beam that provides much room for a day on the water and room to sleep 4 to 6 comfortably. It is powered by two Mercruiser 4.3 Liter engines. Also included is an Onan generator, and it does have air conditioning. Inside the cabin you will find three berths allowing you to sleep up to six people. Port side engine long block replacement in November 2023. The previous port engine got water in it and had to be replaced. The exterior gel coat was clean. The keel and bottom of the hull look damage free. The swim platform has sustained some dock rash with noticeable repairs. The lower units look to be in good shape with no obvious corrosion. The cockpit has foam decking material that looks nice, however, it has been trimmed to fit. The exterior cushions have some worn-out tears and staining. The cover looks to be in good condition, the Bimini top may need stitching repair. The helm looks decent, there are some cracked gauges, and the main center LCD readout looks inoperable. The cabin is showing its wear and tear. There are some stains and rips in the cushions. The cabin sump pump is missing, and the bilge under the steps is full of water. The mid-berth had what appeared to be the aft bench seat stored inside. The engine compartment was clean. The hatch lift supports are missing. The starboard engine looks original and the port engine assembly has clearly been changed. Per the Owner: Both engines were tuned up in May 2021. Gimbal bearings were just recently replaced last year in 2022. The boat also was detailed last month. I am the third owner. Boat was in fresh water as far as I know. I have owned the boat for over 2 years. Oil changes 2021, 2022, full tune up 2021. New gimbals/bellows 2022, gen tune up 2023, Transom seal/bearing 2023. This boat shows well in pride of ownership as seen throughout. The vinyl seats are in excellent condition with no rips stains or blemishes. The cabin is also in excellent condition all soft touch materials are in excellent shape this boat has been gently used. The engine which is freshwater cold has 709 hours on it and runs flawlessly. According to the seller all systems work as they should on this boat there has been an updated multi function display Humminbird unit recently installed. There is full canvas for this boat including camper back as well as a mooring cover. The aft sunshade did have a rip that was repaired. Overall my impressions of this 2004 280 Sundancer are that this boat is in great shape for its age and was well taken care of.
