This 2006 Sea Ray 290 Sundancer is in better than expected condition. It is clean, professionally maintained and ready for the water. According to the seller, all systems are functioning as they should. The starboard bow rail is bent due to a mishap at the car wash. This Sea Ray is in good condition! The owner has taken good care of her and repaired/upgraded as needed. He recently replaced the vinyl on the cockpit seating. The shifter was replaced 2 years ago. The owner added the transom bench seat, and keeps the engine serviced. The bow-mounted searchlight works intermittently, but all other features operate properly. She lives under a boathouse on a lift so she will need a scrub to wash away the Florida green mold. The hull sides are in expected condition for its age! This boat is observably in good condition, rarely any Gelcoat cracks were seen on the vessel, and the overall condition of the gelcoat appears to be in good condition for its age. Per seller, a crate-remanufactured engine block was installed starboard engine in 2022. Update 10/02/23 The recently installed remanufactured crate engine needs repair or replacement. This 1997 290 Sundancer has been well cared for by a few experienced owners over its lifetime. The current owners report all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are in working order with the boat having been actively used this past season where it was kept dockside in a slip. The upholstery both above and below deck appears to be mostly original and in good condition with no cracks or peeling. There are a couple of spots of mild discoloration, but other than that, no other noticeable signs of use. The bimini and full camper-style canvas enclosure was replaced 4 or 5 years ago and is in really good condition. The boat is currently shrink wrapped with an access door for showings. The hull was not pressure washed when it was pulled as the seller prefers to do that and a good cosmetic cleaning and detailing before launching the boat each Spring.
