Purchased brand new on 7/9/2010 from Aloha Power Sports in Jackson, TN. This boat was in the showroom and left over from 2008. Fresh water use only. Serviced exclusively by South Austin Marine here in Austin, TX (they can provide full maintenance record information). Never used to tow. This is the lowest maintenance, lowest cost boat you will ever own. Only $125 to fill it and I only fill it about 3 times per season! Super crisp and clear custom upgraded audio system. Dual Batteries. Comes with Karavan Trailer.No mechanical issues; boat is highly reliable and always operates and ready for use. Cosmetically, no show stopper issues. Minor scratches and dings. Glove compartment secure with a quick release tie; never locked from day one. Engine compartment deck lid/hood has two pistons that pop the deck lid up to gain access to engines. Always opens, but one of the pistons sometimes pops off the swivel ball; can be popped back on. Rear seats have a few cracks/splits; this is typical wear and tear, but better than most. 2009 Sea-Doo Sport Boats 180 Challenger SE (255 hp) 2009 18 SEA-DOO 180 CHALLENGER SE WITH ONLY 44 HOURS FOR SALE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA / ST. CLOUD, FL This low hours Sea-Doo Challenger is in very good condition. Its 255 hp Rotax engine can push it and its top passenger load of 8 (eight) person very nicely. The upholstery has no rips or tears and the gelcoat shows it has always been garage stored. Fully equipped with cockpit covers, bimini, stereo, trailer, digital gauges. Boat Test Captain's Report Sea-Doo 180 Challenger SE By Capt. Rob Smith First released in 2005, the 180 Challenger is Sea-Doos answer to entry level boating with a positive twist. Simple, really; they use direct drive which eliminates a lot of the associated maintenance you have with stern drives. This also broadens the area you can boat in because it only draws 12 and adds a margin of safety since you dont have a propeller spinning at 700 to several thousand rpm just under the swim platform. Dont get directly behind any boat as it is taking off as you still can get hurt being this close to any vehicle in motion. Direct drive boats also add an extra bit of handling and quicker response over many of their sterndrive cousins. Once you learn to use the direct drive engine around the docks, you will love it. The power The standard power in the 180 Challenger SE is a 215-hp Rotax direct drive engine. This 4-TEC engine is a three cylinder, four stroke 1.5 liter engine rated for a maximum rpm of 8000. The drive unit is an axial flow single-stage pump with stainless steel impeller and 6 ¼ pump diameter. Cooling is closed-loop, so the only raw water is through the jet drive pump which has Sea-Doos Inlet Clearing System to help clear debris if you pick up any when running. The seating and room onboard Seating is a feature you will appreciate when your friends all want to come along. For an 18 footer, she has plenty of seating with a rated capacity of 8 people, or 1440 lbs. of people and gear combined. In the cockpit, you feel like you are on a larger boat. I imagine that is because the direct drive system doesnt have to eat up more room for the transmission and mechanicals associated with that. Between the large sole locker for boards and seat base storage, I believe you will have room for all the stuff the gang will want to bring along. The surprise in storage was the access to the stern storage lockers. There is dual access through the seat bases on the aft seats, and from hatches on the aft end from the swim platform. I had two PFD kits stuffed in the starboard box alone. Over on port the battery and switch were easily accessible with the lid open. This auction is for a 2003 Sea-Doo Speedster Jet Boat. The boat is powered by a 240hp EFI V6 Mercury Engine with 226 original hours. The auction also includes the original 2003 Karavan boat trailer, boat cover, stanchions and straps for covering the boat. I am selling this boat for the original owner who purchased the boat as a left over in the beginning of 2005. I have just installed a brand new Jensen marine radio, housing and speakers. The boat has a working horn, working blower and working bilge pump. The stern pole light and bow light have been tested and will work with a new switch installed on the dash. The Speedometer and RPM are in working condition, But the gas gauge it now working. That could possibly be a minor fix, but I cannot say for sure. The boat does have fading on the bottom and some of the decals have been scratched up from normal wear and tear. There are also marks under the bow in the fiberglass from loading on and off the trailer. The only thing missing from the boat is the drivers side windscreen. The boat will include 5 life vests and the required fire extinguisher. I have included 24 large photos of the entire boat and a video of the engine running so please use that to determine the overall condition of the boat. I'm selling a 2008 Seadoo Challenger 180 SE. It has one 215 HP supercharged engine. Its a closed loop system (uses antifreeze instead of water for cooling) so you don't have to winterize it. I'll take a bunch more pictures this evening as well. Options: Trailer w/ spare wheel and foldable toungue Wakeboard tower (folds down) Extra battery added w/ selector switch Extra speakers w/ amplifier (brand new head unit and amp) Details: I bought this boat last winter (because that's when you get the deals) with 49 hours total on it. The last owner said it probably needed a supercharger rebuild because it didn't go as fast as did when he first bought it. Top speed is about 45mph and he was only getting to 35mph. A friend of a friend owns a Seadoo repair shop near lake Texoma gave me the low down on these boats (superchargers last around 80 hours or less, make sure the motor is sound because you don't want to rebuild one, told me what to look for etc) In addition he agreed to do all the work at a fair price if I bought the boat. So I went to look at it and bought it. I then took it straight to him and had the following done: Complete supercharger rebuild Jet pump service New Impeller and wear ring Extra battery added w/ selector switch Oil change A few other things I'm forgetting Condition: The boat is near mint. It has around 56 hours on it now. There might be one small scuff on one decal and the interior is perfect. Its always been stored in a garage or in my case under a metal awning w a cover on it. I *think* some stitching is coming loose on the bimini top but that's easily fixed. Why am I selling the boat after spending all that money on it? Here's a few reasons 1) I want to get better at wakeboarding and this thing doesn't put out a big enough wake 2) I'm not a big fan of jet boats...after having a few beers I find it difficult to maneuver them in a safe manner 3) I'm honestly not a big fan of Seadoo boats...I've already dropped about $2,500 dollars on this thing, replaced about everything I thought I could to make this boat problem free, and the last time I went out this beeping noise went off from the dash and threw out a code and wouldn't let the boat start. I turned the ignition off and on again....and then it started up. I had to go through this routine every time I started the boat and it really pisses me off. I called up my repair guy, gave him the code, and asked him what the deal is. Long story short its a common sensor issue and the sensor is pita to get to. He recommended I just deal with cycling the ignition every time to start it because it won't hurt anything. That sent me over the edge...I'm done with this thing and its ready for a new owner. Clean title in hand and ready to transfer. I reserve the right to end early because this boat is also for sale locally.
