1973 SEA CRAFT Classic 20 (Potter Hull), Ok, as much as I hate to do it, I am selling my Seacraft. It is a 1973 Potter Hull center console 20' with a 2002 mercury 2-stroke 200 EFI. It is located in Mobile, AL. I bought the boat in 2003 and it has been garage kept ever since. This has been an awesome boat for the entire family, and the only reason I am selling it is because we just bought a 26 Regulator. This Seacraft is solid, reliable and "turn-key" ready to use. As far as Seacraft restoration goes, I would consider my boat a "tweener". It's definitely pretty enough to turn heads at gas stations, fuel docks, party islands, oil rigs, fishin spots, or wherever else you might take her, and you will undoubtedly get a lot of positive comments, but it certainly has not gone through a top notch complete restoration, and there are things that are still "old boat" about it, and there are things that I would continue to upgrade if I were keeping it.The motor was nearly new when I bought the boat and it has been very reliable the entire time I have owned it (and again, garage kept and lightly used... Smartcraft Guage says 295 total hours). Trailer was also nearly new when i purchased the boat. I just replaced both torsion axles less than a year ago, and also rewired the entire trailer and replaced the lights at the same time. The trailer is a "Float-on" brand with the wenchless Posi-Latch system. I was skeptical of this at first, but I must say I absolutely love this system...just drive on and the boat latches automatically.Electronics- Furuno 600L color fishfinder with in-hull/beam-through transducer; Sony Sound system with Bluetooth music play- Sony MEX BT4100P(just walk on the boat and wirelessly play music and control volume etc. from your iphone/other device); Mercury SmartCraft system/display; Icom VHF; Furuno GPS (older and worthless in my opinion);Upgrades done by previous owner (I took his word for it, and have not independently verified all this):New 50 Gallon fuel tank and hoses (2002)New floor (2002)-New steering system (2002)New motor and controls(2002)Transom replaced or "redone" (approx. 1990)Upgrades by me:New Paint- hull sides (2003)New upholstery (2003) New retractable bow light (2003)New Stainless Steering Wheel (approx. 2005)Added a large, thick custom bow cushion (approx. 2006)- the kids favorite upgradeCosmetic work on console (2012)New stereo (2013)New 12v electrical switch panel with dual outlets (2013)New torsion axles for trailer (2013)New trailer wiring and lights (2013)New Latch bar for trailer (2013)Anyway, take a look at the pics.
