This boat was damaged during a storm. The damage is: Side windshield broken - - piece of Plexiglas will fix. One porthole broken - - Plexiglas again. Rub rail on one side off - - I do have the piece. Bow rails bent - - I think they can be straightened. Vent grills missing - - buy on ebay. Engine is a big block 454 Mercury. The boat was very well maintained prior to storm but has sat for over a year negotiating with the insurance company. I bought this boat from the insurance company a year ago. I lost the paperwork and the keys and lost interest in it. I now have all paperwork, clean South Carolina title & Registration stickers. I also have a new ignition switch with keys that I will install. When I got it a year ago, The engine started right up with a shot of carb cleaner but the gas in the tank is bad and needs to be pumped out and the carburetor probably needs cleaned. Oil and fluids are all clean and I did run it long enough to verify the outdrive shifts and works. The interior shows well, all cushions are intact and upholstery looks good. Bottom paint looks good. Trailer pulled it real nice and has all new springs and hardware - - needs bow winch adjusted to fit. Trailer is worth 1/2 asking price. Paypal for deposit only. The company was founded in 1926 at 333 W Becher Street in Milwaukee, WI by two brothers James and William Welch who had a knack for building wooden plank hulls that were designed for speed. In 1928 the company was moved to Manistee, Michigan where it operated for the next sixty years. In 1930 its Century Hurricane held the world speedboat record of 50.93 miles per hour. By 1937 the company offered 28 models of boats to choose from. The 1940s brought about World War II and the firm received a contract and delivered 3,600 vessels receiving the Army-Navy E Award for excellence in production material. The company had 343 authorized dealers by 1950 and used the slogan "The Thoroughbred of Boats". In the 1960s Century introduced 45' motor yachts and jet-powered boats; in 1967 the last wooden boat rolled out of the Manistee Facility in favor of fiberglass. 1970 proved to be the greatest decade for the company; it even had a fleet of white tractor trailers that moved them from Manistee across the country to its dealerships.
