2001 Pacific Trawlers 40 Pilothouse There are few pre-owned boats in the marketplace that can truly be considered in "like-new condition" but in my judgment this Pacific Trawlers 40 is one of them. The vessel has been in exclusively fresh water since it was new and was moored, during summers, in a covered slip. During winters it was stored on land completely covered by shrink wrap. All systems were drained and winterized and even the batteries were disconnected. If you haven't guessed by now, the vessel is located in a cold-winter location! The boat was built in Washington and trucked to Minnesota, and is now for sale by the original owner. She can be trucked and delivered throughout the US -- contact me for information on shipping. All maintenance was done by the same company so complete records are available. Some special equipment includes two reverse cycle air conditioning units, a 50 amp power inlet with a Cable Master power cord retrieval system . There is also a custom FRP unit on the upper deck which includes a large built-in propane grill and a refrigerator. A Kahlenberg air whistle, a window defroster system and engine cabin heat are included. This is one of the factory built, custom aft deck extensions with removable canvas covered SS staples. All doors and windows are Diamond Sea Glaze. The interior is done in Honduras mahogany. A custom mahogany high/low table is also included. Please review the attached listing for a complete review of all its equipment. These boat details are subject to contract.Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.

We just finished a 260 mile loop out to Block Island and a couple of other fun stops along the way. Cruising weather was some of the best we have ever seen and the boat performed exactly as expected. Due to schedules and changes we will be around Long Island another month and a half before we head back up to Kingston for the winter months. Thanks for looking at happy boating. “No Worries” sleeps six, privately and very comfortably, with two in the forward master stateroom, accompanied by a private head with tub and shower, control to lower Heat/AC and stereo. Two more sleep in the guest stateroom amidships. Additionally, forward, there are upper and lower berths, to port which also converts to a settee. There is a second head with shower in the companionway across from the guest stateroom. Also, in the companionway is access to the washer/dryer and central vacuum system. The salon is equipped with an L-shaped lounge, 2 chairs, a dining and cocktail table, wet bar, ice maker, built-in blender, CD stereo, television DVD/VCR and plenty of storage. The battery switches are also conveniently located in the salon. There are 4 access panels to the main engines as well as entry to the engine room through the companionway stairs. The galley, located adjacent to the salon, is equipped with a full size refrigerator/freezer, trash compactor, microwave, 3-burner stove with oven, double sink, Heat/AC control for main unit and ample storage. The pilothouse has a full lower station, and wrap around settee with removable insert and table. It is equipped with auto pilot, radar, GPS, VHF, depth sounder, turbo boost gauges, pyrometer gauges and vacuum gauges. Both DC ad AC electrical panels are located here, along with all monitoring systems, generator controls, anchor windlass control, search light control, Heat/AC control to upper unit and map area. Access doors to both port and starboard walk-arounds and steps to flybridge. The flybridge station has wrap around seating (dry storage underneath), GPS, auto pilot, VHF, depth sounder, stereo/CD and dinghy/jetski cradle and davit. The flybridge also has a bimini top which can be easily opened and closed. The cockpit is spacious and has two storage lockers, a fresh water and saltwater wash down and hot/cold shower. There is also a ladder which goes directly to the flybridge from the cockpit. The Bayliner 4788 has packed more flexibility, amenities and economy into a boating package than any other comparable sized boat. All boats are compromises, but the larger areas of the 4788, coupled with its fuel economy of better than 1mpg (0.92 nmpg) at 16-18 knots, or 3-4 mpg if you keep it below hull speed, help make it a great choice for many boating families. These are fantastic boats to own, but as with any boat each one would have been maintained and operated differently which will greatly affect their future use. Our boat is a great fit for anyone to use immediately as is and/or for extended cruising such as the great loop. It would also be a good fit for those who have viewed a number of these boats and have been discouraged by their poor represented mechanical or overall condition. Our boat has always received all required proactive maintenance prior to any failures rather than the typical 'repair when failed' type of parts replacement. We have permanently installed direct gauges for EGT, boost, and fuel vacuum, which allows you to continually monitor engine conditions in real time. We have owned the larger Bayliner motor yachts for 20+ years and have the knowledge to answer most any question you may have about this boat and its engines. We are keenly aware of what can generate failures on these boats and therefore have undertaken upgrades or have planned servicing in place to ensure an extremely long and predictable performance. A full set of boat maintenance and fuel use logs have been kept and are available to further answer questions and serve as a valuable record for the future. We are also more than happy to supply and/or take additional specific pictures of the boat as each picture presented is of our boat and not a file photo. Perfect 4-season Northwest cruising sailboat with large bright pilothouse, well insulated hull, and warm diesel stove. This is not a motorsailer. She sails beautifully! Incredibly roomy with huge storage space. Offset double berth forward. U-shaped galley with head opposite. PH has two settees and table, plus seats for both pilot and copilot. She has a tall easy to manage sloop rig with roller furling on both sails. Also includes a cruising spinnaker in a sock and a storm sail. Her keel is steel, filled with lead, and is deep and long. She has a skeg and a deep transom-hung rudder. She can be steered by tiller in cockpit or wheel (hydraulic) in the PH. She has top of line autopilot networked with 10" Garmin chartplotter and radar, as well as Icom VHF, stereo and DVD player. Length of hull is 32'(overall less than 35'); LWL 26'6" draft 5'6-5'9"; beam 11'8"; dry displacement 12,100#. Built in Burnaby, BC in 1986. Hull and engine installation by Hotfoot Boats, with completion by an employee of Hotfoot in his spare time. Engine is original Volvo MD17d (3100 hours) located in center of boat. Serious tankage for cruising: 100 gal water in 2 fiberglass tanks, 50 gal fuel in SS tank (plus 2 gallon day tank for stove), and 24 gal waste in fiberglass tank. Has capstan windless and two anchors. All new wiring and panels in 2008. Altogether 6 batteries. Automatic Halon fire extinguishing system in engine room. Fresh paint through much of interior. I am looking for a quick sale and have priced it accordingly. Buy now and enjoy a summer of cruising! The people who love this boat are those who like to watch the shoreline moving by and keep an eye on the horizon from a warm dry place. Meanwhile, the person who loves pure sailing can experience it fully at the tiller. The current slip is available to the new owner, who would very much enjoy having a home away from home in Friday Harbor. Many more photo's are available. I am also available by telephone. Please request my telephone number by asking a question of me through eBay. The boat is also for sale locally. Please tell me if you want the sale to be conditional upon satisfactory survey and/or sea trial. This would need to be done in a timely fashion. Consideration of contingencies like this may make any offer more or less desirable. Thank you!

DRASTIC PRICE REDUCTION. I NEED TO SELL THIS BOAT!!!! Hello, and thanks for looking at this Fabulous Cruising Sailboat. 5'6" draft. SHE'S BACK ON THE MARKET. WHAT HAPPENED? WELL, THE MAN WHO BOUGHT HER LIVES IN CALIFORNIA, AND THE COST OF MOVING THE BOAT THERE WAS JUST A DEAL-KILLER! I have reduced the price to the very bottom. Please don't take up my time and yours with silly offers (can you believe that once earlier I received an offer which wouldn't pay for the dingy and outboard?) This SPECTACULAR BOAT was built in the Philippines in 1984 when the cost of resin wasn´t so high, and super strong hulls could be made reasonably. Note the use of the term "sailboat" NOT Motorsailer. Although she will happily take you places under ample diesel power (at about 7.5+ knots at 2100 rpm), this Ted Brewer design SAILS WELL. REALLY WELL!!!! FULL ROLLER FURLING....Jib, Staysail, AND Mainsail. I personally have quite a bit of cruising experience, and it all came into play with the design and installation of the furling systems and the routing of all sail control lines to the cockpit. Not an easy task on a pilothouse boat! The jib is on the Famet furler that came with the boat, and it works fine. There are 2 jibs....you might call them yankees..... identical. So, they can both be set on the Famet furler for downwind sailing. One is brand new, the other is in great condition... The mainsail (recut laminated sail in EXCELLENT condition) and club footed staysail (brand new) are happily mounted on their NEW Alado furlers. Being that all sail handling lines are led to the cockpit, this also will increase the life expectancy of the teak decks by not having to go on deck to set or furl sails. PERFECT boat and perfectly set up for one person or a couple. Stable, built tough, and super equipment make this a super cruising boat. US Documented. This might be a good time to have a discussion about the construction. Like most boats built in this time period, the decks are plywood core. There are many stories about problems with them. This boat has no issues with this. I have drilled many holes in the process of mounting all of the blocks and deck organizers and cutouts for the new electric windlass and washdown pump, and have not run into ANY wetness or any other sign of problems in the core. The previous owner spent a long time completely refastening and recaulking the teak decks, and they should give many more years of service (enhanced by the cockpit sail handling as stated earlier). Here is a partial list of the goodies that are included, and it will be impressive. From stem to stern: Original Famet furler. 2 anchors, 1 Bruce, 1 plow, both with new rodes, specific to the new Powerwinch 40 which has its own battery and charger. Seawater washing system with deck access. New staysail with new boom and fittings (it's self-tacking so you don't need to mess with it when tacking). Mast has been painted and mast steps installed. ALL NEW RUNNING RIGGING.....EVERYTHING: all sheets and halyards. Heavily-built ss fittings for the roller furling mainsail. All new blocks and deck organizers. 2 new winches, Lewmar ST, and the existing Barlow 26's have new Winchmate self-tailers installed. We put brass half-oval rub rail on the outer part of the caprail and on the rubrail. 1 yr old SeaEagle 8' dinghy with BRAND NEW (never started) Tohatsu 5 hp 4 cycle outboard motor. Outboard motor bracket on stern rail. 32 mile Faruno radar/chartplotter w/new chip for East Coast US. RayJeff autopilot, compass or wind direction. VHF. Westerbeke 55C with about 400 hours........very quiet and economical. Hot water by either shore power or engine heat. 5000 watt power converter (never installed). Sophisticated systems for fuel filtering/polishing, oil changing, and bilge pumping. 8 golf cart Batteries. New head. I'll try describing the floorplan (which is not standard): head/shower in forepeak, main cabin with long single berths both sides, convertible very large berth aft port side main cabin, convertible settee/double berth in pilothouse. I would change one of the single berths in the main cabin to a reading area with 2 chairs and a table (easily done). 120 Gal fuel, 90 gal water. The boat is listed with a broker in Annapolis, MD. If it is sold on eBay, I will pay the broker's commission. Health issues forcing sale (like bad hip and knee). GO ANYWHERE! GO TOMORROW! She passed a strict survey when I bought her last year. No blisters. No soft spots and no water content aside from the rudder which had a very small amount. The fix was to drill a few holes in the bottom of the rudder and let it dry for the time she was hauled out, and cover the holes. Done. The past owner lived aboard all year in New England. The result was condensation inside the pilothouse windows. The woodwork in the pilothouse needs to be refinished. I am not going to do it.......because if I paint it, you would rather varnish it, and if I varnish it, you would rather paint it. There are a few things that any seller would rather not have to wrestle with.......and I complicate the matter because I am not there. For the most part, they are simple and not anything major. There is a small leak in the port aft pilothouse window......a small bit of caulking should cure it. There is a leak around the mast partners......caused, I think, by some open grain in the teak exterior trim. There is a slow leak in the aft water tank.......probably a hose or fitting.....but I never had a chance to look into it. The masthead sending unit for wind speed/direction needs to be replaced. I bought it last year, and it has a 2 year warranty, and I will intervene in the process if necessary. The interior trim ring for the mast needs to be cut and repositioned. A Dremel tool and 1/2 hour and it will be solved. I used a piece of cedar shipyard blocking when I installed the Powerwinch 40 electric windlass..it should be replaced with a chunk of teak. The oven does not work....usually this is a simple and inexpensive thing to have fixed, the most difficult part being finding the person to fix it. Once you find the repairman, it is usually an inexpensive repair. Honestly, I can't think of anything else that needs attention. A GREAT BOAT that only needs an owner that appreciates her. She turns heads wherever she is! I expect a $2000 deposit by Paypal within 3 days of the sale, and full payment within 2 weeks.
