Power Package This boat came equipped with the largest power package your money could buy. Even in today’s marine standards, these engines are big. It has two 460 (Ford) 7.5 King Cobra OMC engines attached to two King Cobra stern drives equipped with "dog style" clutch and counter-clock rotation port side drive, delivering a total of 680 hp with 2 engines ( 340 hp per engine). For many years, 460 was the largest gasoline engine of its kind. The next largest engine was a diesel. The boat displacement is slightly over 10,000 lb., yet with two King Cobras running at 4,000 rpm it can reach speeds of up to 40 Knots. The factory manual specifies the highest speed is 43 knots. Each engine has its own aluminum 45 gallon gas tank with magnetic sender. Both stern drives were rebuilt with new clutches, gaskets and 5 degree gears by Bay-End Marina in Brooklyn in 2009. One of the engines was rebuilt by Jasper Engines in 2001 and another, using new block and manifolds by S&J Engines in 2012 (documented). All exhaust manifolds, risers and 4 exhaust pipes are new and where recently installed. Many external components where replaced like alternators, starters, power steering pump, sensors and senders. Notorious OMC shift cables were replaced with new updated versions. New gimbal bearings on starboard and port side were installed as well. Both engines have fresh water flush system for easy winterizing and cleaning. Also installed were Mallory breaker-less ignition system for better throttle and pick up for both engines. One 600CMF Holley carburetor is new and another was recently rebuilt. Other Equipment 750 Watts per week solar panel on top of the radar arch insures all two batteries are fully charged. The galley cabin features a solar panel exhaust fan for continuous interior ventilation. This fan eliminates mildew build up. No baking soda boxes are needed for the winter. The engine compartment has an electrical battery charger, automatic fire extinguisher (Halon system) and fuel vapor monitor. All interior components work as expected, except AC which needs charging. AC pump and bronze through-the-hull water inlet was replaced several years ago. The camper is only a few years old and was made by Bay Canvas in Brooklyn. The rear camper window has a fine mesh replacement to keep away bugs in the summer. A stainless steel grill comes attached to the rear transom rail. All original linens, embroidered blankets, and towels which came originally with this boat are all nicely wrapped in plastic and preserved. 110 volt heavy duty inverter is available and supplies electricity to the AC outlet at all times as long as 12v main batteries are connected. This boat also comes with a 7.5” inflatable boat tender with a 2013 Yamaha 2.5 4-stroke outboard. I’m also including Garmin GPS plotter. In addition, this boat has two stereo systems. One for the outside and one for the inside. It has a 22” flat screen RV HD TV and dvd player integrated into the interior stereo system. Functional HD antenna is on the radar arch. The boat has a fresh water level monitor for a 40 gallon tank, microwave, refrigerator, combination electric/alcohol stove, water heater, carbon monoxide alarm sensor and macerator for the sanitation tank. All original documents and manuals are available for all installed components, including the original purchase documents and work receipts. Both engine's re-power documents are available as well. Answering Posted Questions. Q. OMC is out of business. How do I get parts for these engines and stern drives? A. OMC has been in business for a very long time. Many boats with OMC engines found their way around the globe, especially in water-bordering countries of Europe. People in these countries do not have the luxury of changing their boats like here in the US. This shortcoming forces them to reproduce spare parts necessary to maintain their boats. These parts are imported to the US and widely used. I also found many marine recyclers that have thousands of parts for you to choose from. The Ford 460 engine is one of the most popular engines for use in racing and trucks. Parts for this engine are widely available. The OMC 460 King Cobra engine has very few differences between the FORD versions. Yet, exactly the same parts where used in the 70's Lincoln Continental, Mustangs and multitude of FORD trucks. Ford blocks have slightly less compression and will hardly impact your boat’s performance. With the addition of modern electronics, you will make up for any hp. loss. Two parts are hard to find; cast intake manifold and cast timing chain cover. If you are using your boat in salt water, you must have these installed, else all aluminum parts currently available through Jegs will do fine. Further, installing close-loop cooling system in your boat will forever insure against salt water damage. Q. I live in another state, how can I get this boat delivered? A. I purchased this boat 8 years ago from Massachusetts and I live in New York. For about $1000, an 18 wheeler drove this boat right into my marina. The delivery price will depend up on the location of your marina to the closest Interstate exit. Hauling this boat through the city streets requires an additional expense. Here is a phone number for for a local boat hauler www.svenssonboattransport.com 1-800-924-5036. Dimensions are: 11.5 feet wide, 30 feet long, Weight 10,000 pounds. 9 feet high at the arch. Q. I see this boat advertised for less. Can you match the price? A. The similar Vista 315 models you'll see for less are not equipped with King Cobra package. Most people will find this boat with Cobra 5.7 engines. The top speed of these 5.7's will put you to sleep. If you load your family, you might as well use sails. The 7.5 King Cobras are used as race boats for speed trials. Q. What kind of props do you use? A. All my props are stainless steel and "re-hub-ed" (new inner rubber hub) the torque of these drives are so massive it eventually spins-out your prop from the hub. Q. It sounds like this boat is "perfect". Come on! Its 26 years old. I’m sure there is something. A. Yes there is always something. Like re-polishing and sanding fiberglass finish. Removing old vinyl stripes, fixing spider cracks on gel finish, reupholstering inner cushion on one of the seats. The work is mostly interior. No mechanical work needed. just timely maintenance and oil changes, fuel filter changes twice for the season. If you buy this boat I’ll give you a detailed walk-around. Q. How many layers of anti-fouling paint is on this boat? Was this paint ever removed? A. I do not know. Every year I paint the bottom. What I do know, your speed depends upon the condition of the painted surface. Last year I paid to resurface (sand to smooth) all these layers of paint. It made a huge difference Q. I do not need your inflatable boat. Can I get this boat for a better price? A. Yes. I will deduct $700 from the purchase. I find the inflatable extremely useful. My Vista has a deep draft. You will not be able to go on to the beach or a small private dock. You are virtually stuck on your boat in the middle of the water. With a small tender you can disembark anywhere. Go to shore or a shallow beach and come back to your boat at anchor. PLEASE NO SCAMS - I'm buying this boat as a gift for someone else. All engines will be serviced prior to the boat delivery or pick up. It was paid for it last year at winterizing time.

Up for sale is an extremely clean and rare 1995 Silverton 310 Express cruiser. This boat is my pride and joy and have spent many great years on her - Sadly I don't want to sell but need to consider offers because of some life changing events. There are a ton of added features, upgrades and details which I will do my best to list. The boat is currently in the water at her slip ready for a sea trial. Hull: Gelcoat and fiberglass are in great shape; All rub rails were replaced and stainless steel inserts added for protection. The aft locker door was also repaired and is not included in most of the pictures you see here; I will try to add new pictures as necessary. Motor: Motors are custom made 383 stroker engines which are also closed cooled. Mercruiser rigged with updated 14 degree dry joint exhaust risers to avoid any reversion or condensation issues. An elaborate fresh water flush system was designed to clear out ALL salt water while the engine is running - There can be no corrosion issues with any of the motor or its parts. Motors were dynoed at a true 350 horsepower and this boat will do 40+mph easily. (And yes I have the dyno sheets) Propulsion: Mercruiser Alpha Gen II's with counter rotation prop. Port skeg is broken and will need to be replaced but doesn't affect the performance at all because you have twin engines and one good skeg still. Service work was done this year and I have receipts. Prop set is 14 3/4 X 19. Electronics: Upgraded Simrad NSS 7 Radar/Fishfinder/Chartplotter was added in 2013 and I still have receipts; Raymarine A65 was also left in place to act as a single screen fishfinder with a Garmin NMEA 0183 GPS antenna. This setup rocks and the GPS signal locks on so fast that the screen doesn't have a chance to fully rasterize! Sony radio with Aux cable installed; Kenwood speakers round out the cockpit. Some planking lights need to be replaced and I will include the LEDs that I bought to bolt into the Perko units. Marine radio was upgraded in 2013 as well with GPS connection for DSC which was registered during the install. Optima batteries were purchased in 2012 and connect to a 10amp Charles type charger. There is also a fully functional and operation Kohler 6.5 CZ generator with a transfer switch and external gauges. Canvas/Cockpit Upholstery & Flooring: Canvas is in good shape and a new camper top was added in 2012. Cockpit upholstery was all redone in 2012 as well and is remarkable - All brand new. PlasTeak was added in 2013 for the cockpit floor and rounds out the look of it and adds a safety measure to prevent slipping. Below deck: All interior and upholstery was completely redone for the aft cabin, galley and vee berth; Again work is top notch and its still fairly new. Refrigerator was replaced in 2011 and there is a 16K BTU air conditioning system to provide comfort. The floor was redone with Allure in 2010. I modified the blackwater tank to incorporate a drop tube for picking up effluent and replaced ALL waste hoses and the macerator - It's done and won't be an issue for the life of the boat now. Comes with one flat screen TV with two additional brackets for flexibility or moving around. There is an extra cable coax located in the vee berth for TV viewing but you'll need to install a digital antenna. Provision breaker for an inverter has been installed in the event someone wants to add one. There is also a zinc saver installed with a connection monitor for both 30 amp service connections. Other Notes: Washdown pump and quick connects were installed located on the bow and stern for easy washing/rinsing; No more dragging a long hose around. Retractable vent hatch - EXTREMELY IMPORTANT... anyone who knows this model should be aware that Silverton made a mistake by leaving the vent cover open to rain. This "rain" will lay on top of your port motor and seep into carburetor. Once you try to start, you find out the hard way that water doesn't compress - I took it upon myself to correct this flaw. I mentioned that you will need to replace the port skeg on the outdrive; You will also need to eventually replace the hot water tank. The fresh water pump and connected tank should be cleaned or replaced; The fresh water tank is about 35 gallons and the blackwater tank 28 gallons; No leaks. Has a windlass but you'll need to invest in a good anchor and rope/lead as it does not have one. It also has a new refrigerator located in the cockpit. Swim platform has a ladder and is in good shape showing no nicks, scratches or damage you'll need to worry about. I am also including the trailer in this auction because it was really bought and designed for this boat. I don't think anyone will find a boat this clean with the total amount of additions that were installed. I've yet to see any Silverton like mine so to me it's one of a kind. Disclaimer: As with any EBay listing, I've tried to describe everything about this vessel to the best of my knowledge. I would encourage anyone that is serious to see the vessel for themselves - I am not afraid of a sea trial and am confident it will pass with no problem. This vessel is being sold "as is" and doesn't include any warranty or refunds once the sale is final. It has a clear NJ title along with the trailer.
