This Steiger Craft 255 Chesapeake is updated and lightly used for a diesel sportfisher. The Volvo Penta diesel engine has low running hours. The gimbal bearings for the drive have been replaced. The boat shows normal wear from fishing. This boat has been used for personal fishing purposes by the current owner and stored under a shelter when not in use. At the stern end of the large deck is a sink with a drain. The Rhodan 24v trolling motor with GPS spot lock is mounted at the bow. The boat's windlass is there for backup. Two Taco outriggers are included. A Lowrance GPS-fishfinder is connected to a transom-mounted transducer with side and downscan. An older Garmin fish finder is also included with the boat. Upon initial visit, the boat showed well and was in Fair overall condition. The current owner basically used this boat as a water taxi for him to get to an island where he was doing some construction work. The boat has been maintained by the current owner and is selling as they do not need this transportation to the island any longer. PLEASE NOTE: That this boat was primarily used as a work boat for most of its life for commercial fishing ETC and does show signs of its past. Great boat for someone who is looking for a work boat that isn't that pretty but has more use for it for its primary design functions. please note that transom does have some delamination, but was reinforced with metal plate by where engine mounts for additional strength.
