He was a structural engineer for 15 years while building boats at the same time. In 1977 he decided to make his dream a reality and started building boats full time. All boats are HAND MADE, one at a time with all hand laid fiberglass. He uses THREE TIMES as much fiberglass as a factory production boat. STONER SUPER CATS will last 30 to 35 years. 2016 Stoner Boatworks 20 Abaco This is a brand new 2016 20 Abaco bay boat by Stoner Boatworks. The skiff is powered by a 2016 Yamaha F115 four stroke engine that will get it to 40 mph (F150 will get to 45), loaded on a new 2016 Rock and Roll trailer. The boat has trim tabs, dual batteries with switch, two bilge pumps, cooler seat, SeaDeck flooring, lean post with storage and bimini top standard. The 20 Abaco is modeled after the Edwin Abury wooden skiffs from the 60's. It has a look that just stuns. This boat will ride in a chop and being a true custom she is extremely well built. The can build you from mild to wild just have to ask us. The Abaco is 19'4" overall, 7 foot beam, carries 78 gallons of fuel and weighs abot 2,300lbs.
