In the late 1980's the Porsche team started with a close version of the famed 'Aronow 27' hull design and created the 27 Kineo pushing the limits of marine styling and sleekness. Tempest Engineering in the mid-1990's sharing love and inspiration of the groundbreaking Porsche design created this XPE27. In 2008 Mastry Engine Center repowered the boat with a 2008 single fresh water cooled Yanmar Diesel with the revolutionary 'Geared Up' twin propulsion system allowing you the benefits of twins like the speed and maneuvering, with the savings of a single 480hp Yanmar Diesel. Topside you will find great cockpit seating for a performance ride and a helm that will give the captain a feel of Porsche-like speed and control. The helm itself is outfitted with a Yanmar smart-gage system plus a GPS, VHF, and stereo. Below you will find a nicely finished cuddy cabin. This boat, single Yanmar, and Geared Up drive system tests the bounds of speed and efficiency doing a cruise speed of 54 mph at 2600 rpm and getting 4.2 miles per gallon. New full stainless CMI headers, Bravos, two sets props, Warlock Racing hydraulic steering, this is almost a full race boat with twin bolsters and flat decks. The engine hatch is flat, you can walk on it. Superboats are known for winning races and this narrow beam design crushes waves other boats cannot navigate. You can fly the tops of seven foot seas and never land wrong., this very rare setup outhandles everthing, . Two sets of 23p props, mirages and blades. 1989 Glasstream 152 Tempest and trailer- part or whole Interior is rough shape, most likely needs a new floor, the manifold was repaired (visual) and it is dirty. But other than that pretty sweet deal. It has a 2.5 liter Mercruiser and Alpha one outdrive (prop rough). I replaced the fluids, plugs, condenser and point. Runs, shifts. I pulled the lower unit and inspected the impeller- seems good. Trim works. The trailer is a nice trailer. original to boat, but a nice metal fendered bunk trailer (needs lights and rubber). I just pulled it 60 miles and it pulls nice. This could be a nice little fish and ski or regular bowrider. Or it may end up being parts for other nice boats. if you have something in mind, give me a call. I will look at parting it out- big stuff for now- engine and outdrive. I will not sell any small stuff off of it until either the engine or outdrive are sold off of it.
