J/46 is a maxi-Ditch yacht, the tallest yacht that can fit under the bridges of the Intra-Coastal WWaterway. Yet she is non-intimidating. A high length-to-beam ratio on the waterline of this sea-kindly yacht significantly improves tracking offshore in large waves and makes sail plan balance less critical. J/46 sails with either main or jib only, always responding predictably to a light touch on the helm. Sail power with good stability allows cruising with working jib rather than large genoa. That’s less work for the crew and improved visibility for the person on the helm. J Boats’ unique spinnaker system makes downwind sailing possible for two. A modern asymmetric spinnaker attaches to the top of the anchor roller, is contained within a cockpit-controlled snuffer, and is stored, ready-to-use, in the bow locker. The spinnaker is hoisted to the masthead, 2’ above the headstay intersect, leaving space for the snuffer to shift on a jibe. Jibing is then easy. One simply lets off one spinnaker sheet and pulls in the other.

All fuel drained and refilledwith fresh and stabilizer, oil drained and refilled, engine and strainer drainedand refilled with antifreeze, bilge cleaned, all lockers opened and cushions stood up,batteries on float charge, electronics removed etc....Comes with a great Roadrunner yard trailer. I use it to haul the boat the 12 miles between my home and the marina. It does a great job. However, If you're wanting to transport the boat a long distance on this trailer (over the road) it will need to be upgraded to a heavier weight capacity. I called Tri County Wheel & Tire in Northwood, OH. & Loadmaster Trailers in Port Clinton, OH. The price for 2 new 6000lbs complete axles with brakes, springs, complete hanger kit and 4 new tires and rims would be $1700 to $2000. plus installation about $400 then you would have a near new over the Road Trailer.If you don't need a Trailer at all, then I'll reduce the price of the boat $1500.00.
