Rawson 26 foot sailboat: One of only 22 ever built. Hand laid fiberglass. The design is similar to the T-birds of the same era. This boat is in excellent condition for its age and has been a great boat for the family, which has now grown too large for us to comfortably sail this boat; we will be looking for something bigger. We've had it across the San Juans numerous times. It's a very stable boat and sails well; I've had it out in 25 knot winds with 4-6 foot seas across the straight more than once. The hull and exterior are in great shape and with a little TLC on the inside this boat has a lot of potential. That said, this was purchased as a restoration project and though most of the work is completed there's still a little left to do. Added a two-burner alcohol stove New Electrical system, wiring, and cabin lights New battery charger New fresh-water tank, plumbing, pump sink, and external freshwater fill New portable head Replaced berth cushion foam (need new upholstery New laminate floor (water proof) New paint on the deck and in the cockpit. Old deck fittings patched/filled before painting Pop-top need some love, but is functional. Needs new paint on the inside, but the surface has been sanded / prepped where necessary for the most part. It wouldn't take much to restore this. Needs new bottom paint, but the hull is clean. http: sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=5765 Equipment: 4 sails, all in great shape: Original main sail and spinnaker; 160 genoa; working jib. 2 jib halyards 1 main halyards 1 spinnaker down/up haul 2 3-sheet rope clutch cleats for halyards (1 port, 1 starboard) 2 3-sheet guides (1 port, 1 starboard) 2 lewmar 18 winches on deck for halyards Everything has been rigged back to the cockpit for single-handed sailing 2 recently serviced and rechromed Lewmar 26 winches with standard cleats Spinnaker mast eye traveler on track at front of mast Mainsheet traveler and track Boom traveler and track 2 adjustable cockpit cup holders :-) New 2014 mercury 9.9 outboard motor and tank (still under manufacturer's 3-year warranty) not included - listed at $1500 OBO Asking $2,625 without the motor; additional $1,500 for the motor; will consider all offers.

The MacGregor 26S MacGregor 26 Swing Keel Sailboat 1994 with Trailer in Excellent Condition ready to Sail! This is a 1994 MacGregor 26S Sailboat with trailer and 8 hp outboard motor in excellent condition. It accepts a 2 inch ball mount trailer hitch. The total trailer weight is about 2000 lbs, so pretty much any V-6 vehicle can tow this without any extra equipment. Any Minivan for example will work fine. It includes everything needed to sail. Three sails including a main, a roller furling Genoa and a drifter / spinnaker are included . This sailboat is wheel steered with binnacle mounted motor remote controls and instruments. Everything is in excellent condition and the trailer tires are brand new Goodyear Marathon trailer tires. It also has an extra motor mount for a trolling motor or small outboard secondary engine. This boat has many upgrades including wheel steering and a Rudder Craft Mac 26S HDPE High Performance Replacement Rudder as well as the stock rudder as a spare, a MMSD pump out porta toilet, a CDI roller furling Genoa and a main sail cover as well as life lines and bow and stern pulpits, a swim ladder, a solar panel and an Autohelm ST 30 Bidata to name a few. The 8 HP Tohatsu (Nissan) outboard model M8B also has electric start and an alternator. The MacGregor 26S, 1990 to 1995, replaced the dagger board with a swing centerboard (which kicks up in an accidental grounding) and made other smaller changes. Together, the 26D and 26S are often called the "classic" MacGregor 26, and sometimes the 26C. Owners of these earlier models tend to refer to them as "the real sailboats" prior to the changes coming with the MacGregor 26X. The V-berth can handle 2 people/kids and has storage underneath, the settee can accommodate another person and plenty more storage under there, in the cabin galley /kitchen area is a sink and a mirrored bulkhead with plenty of storage under the sink. Behind the ladder going into the cockpit is a queen sized, super comfortable bed which is also located right below the cockpit. This boat has a POP-UP roof over the galley area that rotates up and out of the way while boat is at anchor / berth which gives unlimited head room in the cabin. This vessel includes all tools and supplies needed for maintenance and use like a nice Windex for mast top mounting. a manual bilge pump, an anchor with rode, a new gallon of bottom paint, a new fuel tank with hose, a remote controlled stereo, cockpit cushions, a wind scoop etc. I am the third owner of this nice Mac and all paperwork including the Wisconsin Title and the original purchase contract when new are included as well as a IL trailer title from the previous owner. (Note, a few pictures are from the previous owner in IL and we do not have trailer titles in WI.) It is located in Door County, WI in the city of Egg Harbor, WI north of Green Bay at my summer cottage while I live in Milwaukee, WI. If you have any questions please do ask as all inquiries will be responded to. Thanks for your interest. Click Here for the Owner's Manual Click Here for Information on a Modified Macgregor 26S Click Here for More Pictures of this Vessel Happy Owner's Review: My Experience with the MacGregor 26S ("Classic") "Having owned and sailed extensively a 26S for three years, I can report that indeed it does actually sail fairly well and lives up to its reputation of being a roomy and easily trailered pocket cruiser. At the time it was the only sailboat that met my budgetary needs, had room enough for my family of three to cruise for up to a week at a time, and trailered well to let us explore waters from Maine to Key West. Yes, it's a light boat, but I had a lot of sailing experience and was cautious and never had trouble in winds to 30 knots - and I didn't try anything foolish like taking it offshore. Yes, the fiberglass was thin, but I avoided running into rocks. I took my 3-year-old out on solo daysails and have no regrets. I sold it to a family of four, their first boat, and heard from them a few years later that they'd thoroughly enjoyed tons of sailing. Thousands of other MacGregor owners have had similar experiences."

2002 Magregor 26x There is a lot of great information about these boats online. I have thoroughly enjoyed this boat for the last 5 years and almost everything on it has been upgraded and continually maintained. It is not a project, it is turn key and ready to go.2015 - Brand new motor, control cables & steering, running rigging, interior cushions, carpet and electronics. The motor is a brand new model Suzuki DF20A fuel injected and was purchased March 2015 and has the remainder of the 3 year factory warranty. During the installation new teleflx exteme shift and throttle control cables, telelex rack & cable and fuel lines/filter were installed. The controls are flushmount and the motor is mounted on an adjustable jackplate with all cables and wiring concealed and run directly to the motor. The motor averages .3gph~5mph, .5gpph~6mph, and 1gph~9mph.Sails: Cruising Weight North Sails main with 3 reef points, shelf foot & cunningham. Main control via double mainsheets led back to the helm. Original Doye main and boom included. CDI furler, Factory Jib, additional working Jib and spinnaker included. Sail control with cabintop tracks & 7' schaffer T tracks along the cockpit combing. Jib, main sheet, and furling lines led along the 7' tracks to easy reach at the helm & multiple cam cleats (10) for easy sail control. Exterior- all running rigging new and color coded. Full cockpit deck and swim platform with ladder. Full factory cockpit cushions, boarding ladder, large bimini with rear supports & 6' standing headroom underneath. Factory lower sunbrella bimini also. (can be set on the 7' tracks and slid along the entire cockpit) Sunbrella mainsail cover, 22 lb delta plow anchor on windline bow roller, Danforth stern anchor and mount, 8 stainless dock cleats, LED running and anchor lights. Bottom coated with 20 mils of 2 part high build epoxy and Petit SR Pro bottom paint (2014) Original trailer used twice a year & overhauled in 2012.Interior - 20 gallon fresh water tank, electric fresh water pump, & stainless sink. Stainless flushmount alcohol stove and butcherblock countertop. Custom cabinets under every seat & unused area for dry organized storage. Wood dining table with plexi insert (original table/berth included). Led Lighting throughout including above V berth, aft berth & bathroom. All leds on dimmers. 95% of wire replaced with marine tinned duplex including mast wiring & 3 deep cycle batteries. New standard horizon VHF in 2015 along with 4 speaker marine stereo & wired remote at pedestal, 2 speakers above V berth and 2 weatherproof in cockpit. 100% dry and without any leaks or smells. Numerous other interior modifications for comfort & access. This is one of the last 26Xs made before the switch to the 26M. Throughout the run of the X the model progressed and several significant changes were made by the factory for safety, durability, and reliability. According to them this included a different deck layup & lamination system around 2000 that was much stronger with no balsa coring. It also included a steering redesign with a different console, steering box, stainless vs aluminum rudder mounts, resigned rudder blades and a lot of other little changes to the interior & exterior build. This being one of the last ones off the line has all of the factory updates. I have always kept this boat well maintained and ready to go with no issues "waiting" to be fixed. It has never once left us stranded or in a difficult situation. There many other features on it best discussed in person. We are still using it regularly and it is currently slipped in the Virginia ICW in fresh water until January 2016 when it will be put on the trailer and kept at the same location with onsite ramp. My reason for selling is that I have bought a larger boat. If you are a serious buyer please contact me for a phone number and time to come take a look at it in person. I am willing to spend weekend going over everything on it and helping the buyer load it on the trailer if not local. Most of the pictures were taken 9/15/2015.

The Hunter 260 offers accommodations not typically found on trailer-able sailboats - a small galley, enclosed head and sleeping accommodations for four people, assuming two are small children. To package all this and still keep weight to a level that can be towed by most full-sized automobiles and SUVs, Hunter uses a water ballast system rather than fixed ballast. Length overall of the 260 is 26' 3", beam is 8'5', draft is 1' 9" with the centerboard fully raised and 6' even with it lowered; weight, with no ballast and no gear, is an even 3,000 lbs. The 260 is intended for use near coastal and protected waters and Hunter has done a great job devising a one-person system for raising and lowering the mast that works well. The cockpit is large and comfortable and open at the stern for easy boarding as well as quick access to the outboard rudder and motor the nice wheel steering The main cabin features very comfortable accommodations for a 26-footer - with 5' 7" standing head room. There is a U-shaped dinette on centerline which seats four adults comfortably. To the port side aft, there is an enclosed head with porta-potty and wash basin. The small galley is opposite and has a single-burner butane stove and small sink. A double berth is beneath the cockpit . Auxiliary power is provided by a 9.9 hp Mercury outboard engine mounted on a bracket at the starboard stern.Hunter's wheel steering connects the outboard motor so that it turns when the rudder is turned, is a definite plus for ease of docking or maneuvering in tight spaces. All extras added after 2006 including motor which is a 2008 Mercury. Roller furler and main were reconditioned with umbrella added to furler. Trailer reconditioned with new brakes. Has cockpit canvas with stainless steel frame. It also has the camper package that is like new. This makes the salon very large and roomy for overnights. Has an installed stereo with cabin and cockpit speakers. Professional cockpit cushions. No damage to hull or bottom Most of life in Fresh water, 1 season now in salt water. engine flushed regularly.Engine Had complete tune up at end October 2015. Mainly personal effects etc. If you have any questions or wish to arrange an inspection feel free to contact me to discuss.________________________________________________________________________________ In answer to the many of the questions posed to me here are a few more details:- I've owned the boat for two years. Initially it was purchased in Houston with big plans to sail the Caribbean but life unfortunately got in the way. During that time I've refit many of the items on the boat and this is outlined above.- Yes the boat can be viewed in Key West, Florida, USA. For those that are interested message me and I'll give you the contact details of my local Key West broker.- The boat is currently Australian registered but will be de-registered as part of the sale. So the new owner can get the boat re-registered with the USCG.- Yes the boat is capable of offshore voyages, but no I wouldn't jump in this tomorrow and sail across the Pacific. Not due to any structural fault in the boat. I would add better water storage, a water maker, fit the wind vane, purchase some spare sails, fit a full bimini cover etc. before committing to such a voyage. Of course you would want to have had a lot of experience offshore before crossing the North Atlantic.- More images of the boat and the trips we've taken can be found at www.formosa46.com- No I will not trade for another boat unless someone has a similar size/condition vessel in Australia.- Yes the price is negotiable within reason as are the sale terms. Please contact me to discuss.- The boat is very well equipped with all the safety gear you could ever hope for and is in a good condition.

2006 Macgregor 26M                                T R U L Y    U N I Q U E     Motor Sailer Why a trailerable sailboat? On a trailer the boat can cruise to remote sailing areas at 55 mph to lakes, oceans, rivers or reservoirs wherever you can find a launching ramp and water deeper than 12 inches. These boats, even based in the local areas, are taken regularly long distances overland south in the winter or north  in  the summer to sail the northern lakes available to us and on the road she makes a great "CAMPER".  With the MACGREGORS ability to call on her big motor, she can, on demand, deliver you to a port or on to your next vruising area on her own bottom at speeds close to 20 miles per hour... Most sailboats must remain in an expensive slip all summer and be stored by the yard for the Winter With an easily launchable boat like the Macgregor 26 she can be returned to the water late in a season for some of the great Indian summer weather that we get here in the North East. Having her stored next to, or close to, your home, will let you look after her easily and "putter" at will. Don't miss the opportunity to explore this great boating concept that gives you the alternative lifestyles of  SAILING   and  MOTORBOATING  at a very affordable price and with ONE BOAT.

DRASTIC PRICE REDUCTION. I NEED TO SELL THIS BOAT!!!! Hello, and thanks for looking at this Fabulous Cruising Sailboat. 5'6" draft. SHE'S BACK ON THE MARKET. WHAT HAPPENED? WELL, THE MAN WHO BOUGHT HER LIVES IN CALIFORNIA, AND THE COST OF MOVING THE BOAT THERE WAS JUST A DEAL-KILLER! I have reduced the price to the very bottom. Please don't take up my time and yours with silly offers (can you believe that once earlier I received an offer which wouldn't pay for the dingy and outboard?) This SPECTACULAR BOAT was built in the Philippines in 1984 when the cost of resin wasn´t so high, and super strong hulls could be made reasonably. Note the use of the term "sailboat" NOT Motorsailer. Although she will happily take you places under ample diesel power (at about 7.5+ knots at 2100 rpm), this Ted Brewer design SAILS WELL. REALLY WELL!!!! FULL ROLLER FURLING....Jib, Staysail, AND Mainsail. I personally have quite a bit of cruising experience, and it all came into play with the design and installation of the furling systems and the routing of all sail control lines to the cockpit. Not an easy task on a pilothouse boat! The jib is on the Famet furler that came with the boat, and it works fine. There are 2 jibs....you might call them yankees..... identical. So, they can both be set on the Famet furler for downwind sailing. One is brand new, the other is in great condition... The mainsail (recut laminated sail in EXCELLENT condition) and club footed staysail (brand new) are happily mounted on their NEW Alado furlers. Being that all sail handling lines are led to the cockpit, this also will increase the life expectancy of the teak decks by not having to go on deck to set or furl sails. PERFECT boat and perfectly set up for one person or a couple. Stable, built tough, and super equipment make this a super cruising boat. US Documented. This might be a good time to have a discussion about the construction. Like most boats built in this time period, the decks are plywood core. There are many stories about problems with them. This boat has no issues with this. I have drilled many holes in the process of mounting all of the blocks and deck organizers and cutouts for the new electric windlass and washdown pump, and have not run into ANY wetness or any other sign of problems in the core. The previous owner spent a long time completely refastening and recaulking the teak decks, and they should give many more years of service (enhanced by the cockpit sail handling as stated earlier). Here is a partial list of the goodies that are included, and it will be impressive. From stem to stern: Original Famet furler. 2 anchors, 1 Bruce, 1 plow, both with new rodes, specific to the new Powerwinch 40 which has its own battery and charger. Seawater washing system with deck access. New staysail with new boom and fittings (it's self-tacking so you don't need to mess with it when tacking). Mast has been painted and mast steps installed. ALL NEW RUNNING RIGGING.....EVERYTHING: all sheets and halyards. Heavily-built ss fittings for the roller furling mainsail. All new blocks and deck organizers. 2 new winches, Lewmar ST, and the existing Barlow 26's have new Winchmate self-tailers installed. We put brass half-oval rub rail on the outer part of the caprail and on the rubrail. 1 yr old SeaEagle 8' dinghy with BRAND NEW (never started) Tohatsu 5 hp 4 cycle outboard motor. Outboard motor bracket on stern rail. 32 mile Faruno radar/chartplotter w/new chip for East Coast US. RayJeff autopilot, compass or wind direction. VHF. Westerbeke 55C with about 400 hours........very quiet and economical. Hot water by either shore power or engine heat. 5000 watt power converter (never installed). Sophisticated systems for fuel filtering/polishing, oil changing, and bilge pumping. 8 golf cart Batteries. New head. I'll try describing the floorplan (which is not standard): head/shower in forepeak, main cabin with long single berths both sides, convertible very large berth aft port side main cabin, convertible settee/double berth in pilothouse. I would change one of the single berths in the main cabin to a reading area with 2 chairs and a table (easily done). 120 Gal fuel, 90 gal water. The boat is listed with a broker in Annapolis, MD. If it is sold on eBay, I will pay the broker's commission. Health issues forcing sale (like bad hip and knee). GO ANYWHERE! GO TOMORROW! She passed a strict survey when I bought her last year. No blisters. No soft spots and no water content aside from the rudder which had a very small amount. The fix was to drill a few holes in the bottom of the rudder and let it dry for the time she was hauled out, and cover the holes. Done. The past owner lived aboard all year in New England. The result was condensation inside the pilothouse windows. The woodwork in the pilothouse needs to be refinished. I am not going to do it.......because if I paint it, you would rather varnish it, and if I varnish it, you would rather paint it. There are a few things that any seller would rather not have to wrestle with.......and I complicate the matter because I am not there. For the most part, they are simple and not anything major. There is a small leak in the port aft pilothouse window......a small bit of caulking should cure it. There is a leak around the mast partners......caused, I think, by some open grain in the teak exterior trim. There is a slow leak in the aft water tank.......probably a hose or fitting.....but I never had a chance to look into it. The masthead sending unit for wind speed/direction needs to be replaced. I bought it last year, and it has a 2 year warranty, and I will intervene in the process if necessary. The interior trim ring for the mast needs to be cut and repositioned. A Dremel tool and 1/2 hour and it will be solved. I used a piece of cedar shipyard blocking when I installed the Powerwinch 40 electric windlass..it should be replaced with a chunk of teak. The oven does not work....usually this is a simple and inexpensive thing to have fixed, the most difficult part being finding the person to fix it. Once you find the repairman, it is usually an inexpensive repair. Honestly, I can't think of anything else that needs attention. A GREAT BOAT that only needs an owner that appreciates her. She turns heads wherever she is! I expect a $2000 deposit by Paypal within 3 days of the sale, and full payment within 2 weeks.
