The Regal 2860 Commodore is a well-built with an innovative cockpit seating and a space-efficient interior. She is unlike other boats of her type and size in that she rides on a stepped hull, a race-bred design said to improve performance by ventilating the bottom. Like most modern express cruisers the Commodore incorporates a mid cabin floor plan with berths for six. The fore and aft sleeping areas have a double berth that are separated from the main cabin by a privacy curtains. (Note that the elbowroom in the aft cabin is at a premium.) In a departure from the norm the refrigerator is under the forward berth which frees up some storage space beneath the galley counter.
