This is a diesel, air-cooled twin cylinder, 1800 rpm, 60 hz, 120/240 Volt single or 120/208 Volt three phase generator in excellent running condition. Hunt / Fish Camp, Home, Business, Church Camps etc.This has 2"ball and can be hauled with small car. I had 2 of these I built with self contained trailers. I used them for disaster response when working with the Methodist Church. My volunteers would haul these where ever needed and could pull down the hwy @ 70 mph. This will power a couple homes or camp/ hunting lodge. Very quiet doesn't even need a muffler. I had installed a 220 plug outlet as well. I have 2 older heavy batteries but ya need to pick up 2 more. The tires are terrible but can get ya home. This takes regular 5 lug trailer tires from 8"-15" you can buy at Harbor freight or Wally world. This is why price isn't as high as some like why should I put them on and charge you more so get the ones you want. My cell phone # 352-284-9682 answers Capt. This can be seen at Star Plaza hwy 27/41 South side High Springs 32655 Oil and filter have been recently changed and the fuel filter is new as well. FYI This is a military generator and the rating of 5 kw is applicable to operation in extreme conditions like high altitude and temperature. Under sea-level conditions these units are known to deliver 7 kW continuously - for weeks. Uncle Sam pays big bucks for these generators and they are intended for continuous use/abuse. The generator has a built-in diesel tanks (good for up to 10 hours) that gets automatically refilled if an external tank is provided. The generator will pump from the external tank into the built-in tank, so no complicated plumbing is required. The generator has low running hours. These generators last thousands of hours - unlike the units from the box stores. I have 2 older heavy batteries but ya need to pick up 2 more. The tires are terrible but can get ya home. This takes regular 5 lug trailer tires from 8"-15" you can buy at Harbor freight or Wally world. Oil and filter have been recently changed and the fuel filter is new as well. Operator and repair manuals are downloadable online and parts can be obtained from Cummins/Onan (for the engine) or from surplus dealers for the military-specific parts. Cold Weather Kit: Includes: air intake pre-heat, glow plugs, 24 volt cold weather starting system. You will not find more durable cold-weather features in any unit on the market.
