Newly Rebuilt Detroit 671 TI 420 hp each! Starboard engine rebuilt with 200 hours Port Engine rebuilt with 20 hours. Port engine Needs rebuild due to bad intercooler which seized the engine. New Rebuilt Lugger Generator Not installed Great Hull! Nice roomy interior! Good AllisonTrannies Last year of the 40' !! The Viking 40 Convertible offers versatility and solid construction, in a design that's a good combination for boating families who split their time between coastal cruising and fishing. Add to this a contemporary styling that results in an older model appearing years newer than it is and it's no wonder this model remains a popular choice of used boat buyers more than 30 years after the last model rolled out the door. Both engines were rebuilt but the port engine's intercooler went out which cased obvious problems with the engine. Right now, THe engine, is still in the engine roombut lifted so that it can be rebuilt as it sits. THis happened just 20 hours after the rebuild. The former owner, couldn't afford to rebuild it so he used it as a live abourd at the marina. THe good engine, has 200 hours on it. He fell on hard times and need open heart surgery, and couldn't even afford to put new batteries in her figuing...He's never going to afford to rebuild that engine so why bother. The last time the starboard engine was started was in March 2015. There's also a Lugger Generator completely rebuilt and need to be hooked back up. THe Vessel is Solid throughout. It had a leak in one of the hatches so the material around the hatch is hanging a little (Just the fabric) I am having a detail guy, GOing in to clean, paint, stain etc.. I am having a mechanic rebuild the bad engine but as all this happens, the price will go up. As you know, These sell for BIG money. Please come and inspect the Vessel before you bid. I am retired so I am always around. This is a documented vessel The starboard engine has been lifted for easy access and the Dock where she is at is paid for until February which gives you time to fix what ails her and drive her out on her own.
