This 1958 vintage boat is a kit build. The previous owner added 1958 Corvette lights to the year adding to the vintage look. Comes with a Bimini top. Trailer (Load Rite) has new tires and comes with a brand new spare and rim for travel. Motor is a Mercury 500/50 HP - it was rebuilt a year ago but needs work. A really fun boat for it's size. Never fails to get comments and turn heads!

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1958 55' Chris Craft Conqueror - Back on the market by popular demand. We have only owned this boat since Valentine’s Day this year however we have had an unfortunate life changing event that forces us to sell our beauty and pass the project on to someone else who will bring her back to the original beauty she deserves. This boat is truly unique in that - it is the only one like it in the world. According to Wikipedia Chris Craft only made FOUR of the conquerors in 1958 and this one is the only survivor. She is work in progress but in the end, I can only image what she will be worth. Imagine owning the only boat in the world. There is so much room on this boat; it’s like your own personal floating condo. You can take it any where your heart desires, she’s ready to run. The work this boat needs is cosmetic, not mechanical; she starts right up and sounds amazing! They just don’t make boats like this anymore. The boat is Philippine mahogany double planked construction with original teak decks. She has 3 staterooms, 3 heads, one BIG salon and nice size galley. The salon has 13 windows (4 are cracked) there are bookshelf’s on both sides, above the bookshelf's there is a piece of wood that needs replaced. The salon has a new AC unit installed that works great. The original chart table in the salon is just beautiful to look at. Forward from the salon we have the galley. She has a 2 burner glass stove top, a brand new refrigerator, built in microwave, full 2 sided vinyl booth seating, and small pantry and allot of storage. She also has the original black and white checkered vinyl floor from 1958. The counters and sink have been upgraded to corian. The ceiling in the galley needs some work. Forward of the galley you have the crew quarters/V-berth and a head with a beautiful Corian counter-top. Also plenty of lockers and storage. Aft of the salon is the guest stateroom with 2 twin beds, a hanging locker/wardrobe, and plenty of drawers and storage cabinets. Across from guest stateroom is a head with a toilet and sink with Corian counter-top. Next aft we have the master stateroom. There is 1 full size bed (Mattress not included) and 1 twin bed with a very nice upgraded top quality mattress, 2 hanging lockers, drawers and an aft hatch that opens to the completely enclosed cockpit. There is an attached head with a complete Corian shower, Corian floors and counter-tops. Forward of galley is with twin bunks, storage lockers, and an attached head with sink, and Corian counter-top. This yacht is 99% completely original. The layout, every drawer, cupboard, and each and every handle & doorknob are original to this yacht. The only things changed on her are laminate floors in salon, Corian counters in all 3 heads and galley, plus a complete Corian shower and floor. Her original mahogany is apparent throughout the yacht. Nothing has been painted over. Any wood that might need replacing is visible. As you can tell from the photos her rich mahogany interior is a true state of beauty. We work on this boat every day, we are just finishing up the front deck, and it was completely sanded and refinished. We also did the aft of the boat and we are currently putting our final coat on the front deck. (If the rain would cooperate, it would be done) I have many of the original documents for this boat including the original work order to build the boat with both matching engine numbers listed. I also have the blueprints, original 1958 advertisement, the specs from Chris Craft from 1958, and receipts for some of the work done over the years by previous owner. This boat has been kept in her original state. She has not been cut up, or had cheap cabinets installed or had her original integrity compromised. These vintage yachts are very hard to find in their original condition much less with original paperwork. She is powered by twin Detroit Diesels 6I-71 that runs STRONG. Engines are original to this boat with approximately 2300 hours on them. There is also a 4JBLE-01 20 KW Yammer Generator that runs everything on the boat with power to spare! Generator has a new water strainer. She has 12V and 110 electrical systems in place. Ship to Shore power switch has been recently updated to a modern Oman switch. Engine batteries have been replaced with 8D 12V for more sufficient engine starting. Toilet has been updated with a new Electra Scan system which makes living aboard so easy. No holding tanks to empty EVER! New water pump installed in shower as well as new bilge pumps installed throughout entire boat. New air conditioner installed in salon. Wired for cable TV/internet. There are TWO 100 lb gas tanks on this boat but we were told one gas tank is out of commission - we are not why - we never looked into in further detail 100 gallons is plenty of gas. Some of the gauges do not work We have a comprehensive survey from a wooden boat surveyor/specialist from 2011.... Last pullout bottom job was done 2012 however she gets her bottom scrapped and cleaned on a regular basis with new anodes and zincs as she sits in salt water right now in Shalimar, FL. We are in a protected bay 2 miles from the gulf. Since this is a documented vessel, that means you don't have to pay sales tax on the purchase. You pay USCG 90.00 to transfer the document from our name to your name and that's it - you’re done with the paperwork for the sale. Insurance is cheap and easy to transfer through Markel. *Please note = There is one photo that was taking many years ago when she was in tip top shape out on the water. This photo is only being used to represent what she could like again if someone has the time and money to invest in her. All of the other photos were taking between July 7th and the 17th of 2015. The last thing I would like to say about this yacht is it is the only one left in the world. As I already mentioned, it was 1 of only 4 made in 1958.The 55' Chris Craft Conquerors were never built again. Chris Craft only produced 40' Conquerors starting in 1959.1958 was the last year of the 55' Conqueror and OUR BOAT IS THE VERY LAST ONE!!! A collectors dream...This is the one and only model that Chris Craft made with curved side windows. The 1958 55' Conqueror was the only boat to ever receive these jewels. Truly a one of a kind boat, open to offers above 30,000. If this boat was complete, it would bring in TOP dollar at the wooden boat festival in Madisonville, LA (this is also where the boat came here from) PLEASE send me a message if you would like a link to see a VIDEO OF THE TWIN DETROIT DIESELS AND THE GENERATOR RUNNING. 1958 55' Chris Craft Conqueror USCG Documented Boat ATTENTION ALL COLLECTORS!! RARE 1 OF A KIND CHRIS CRAFT YACHT!! This Chris Craft Yacht is the very last of its kind. There were only 4 of the 55' Conquerors made in 1958 and ours is the only survivor! It is very rare to find a year in the history of Chris Crafts boat building that has only 1 boat left of a particular model, especially a 55' yacht. We are currently living on this boat Living on a boat is a dream come true for some! You can have a waterfront home for a fraction of the cost and you can move anywhere your heart desires. She is Philippine mahogany double planked construction with original teak decks. All hot/cold water pressure systems working, all electrical working, Electra Scan waste removal system for the head recently installed which means you never have to deal with holding tanks to be emptied. She had a bottom job in 2012. We live at a marina that can haul her out for your inspection (buyers cost) and they can also do any cosmetic work, deck sanding, bright work you need. Contact Shalimar Yacht Basin in Shalimar, Florida to get prices. We just had the bottom scraped and cleaned and new anodes and zincs put on. This yacht is a 3 stateroom,3 head layout. The salon is located in the center of the boat with bookshelves on either side, windows galore, cable T.V., original chart table, and a brand new air conditioner. Aft of the salon is the guest stateroom with 2 twin beds,a hanging locker/wardrobe,and plenty of drawers and storage cabinets. As you can tell from the photos her rich mahogany interior is a true state of beauty. All of this sits atop a single axle bunk trailer from PolarKraft with a spare tire/wheel This boat is in fantastic shape and would require minimal work to complete. The hull is water tight and in great shape. Here are the things I would do... The straight grain fir decking could stand to have the caulking between the wood redone. (When the boat was relocated to Boise from Pennsylvania, the difference in humidity caused the caulking to shrink and pull away from the boards a bit exposing some gaps between the caulking and the wood. Minor repair) Fuel system Make sure tanks are clean, They have been in storage for many years. They were drained and cleaned before they were put in storage. Electrical system/Lights...replace the battery and ensure all bulbs are working. Motor... A new impeller was installed about 10 years ago and the engine had great pull on the starter cord and compression. Should be good to go but check it over. Maintained by a trained aircraft mechanic. Windscreen... It's plexiglass. Polish it up and reinstall. Need a couple of nuts to fasten it to the deck. Water test the completed rig to ensure all is good, register and enjoy on a beautiful lake. This boat used to pull waterskiers and still will. My plans for it included the light restoration described above and then enjoy it in McCall Idaho while cruising around on Payette lake looking at the lake homes. NO RESERVE WHAT AN ADVENTURE!!! CLASSIC 1958 CHRIS CRAFT 17 ft on CUSTOM TRAILER Enter the "Trop Mignon" which means "Too Cute". Originally from Michigan. Clean title. Now in Vermont so with VT letters - fully registered through 2014 on a permanent custom trailer with recently adjusted axle, to make it a pleasure to trailer. She is a gorgeous 17 foot 1958 marine plywood Chris Craft boat that has had extensive restoration over the last several years. Thru hull exhaust. Appears to have been an early prototype because she is configured as a Sportsman with chrome everywhere. Owned by a meticulous collector. Stored indoors always on custom trailer, except for Summers. Great cruising this season. PHOTOS IN THE WATER ARE FROM THIS SEASON! Restored professionally - near mint top deck ($7,500 job) and sides ($5,000). Bottom has had 5200 added in spots that were needed. Interior has excellent leather patina including all functional chrome gauges. Hairline crack in very solid block does not impair performance. New carb, new points, new plugs. Water pump just gone thru and refurbished. Beautiful brass propeller. Beautiful split windshield, new gas tank (plastic) under two stern seats. Chris Craft bow flag. USA flag for stern with built in stern light. Professional transom letter job. Professional use of marine screws where needed. All gauges were removed, rechromed or polished as needed, and returned to dash during top deck restoration. Beautiful bow lights. Rumbles in the water like a good ol' Riva ought. Attracts attention everywhere. Trailer is custom and has a vintage look that matches the color and patina of the boat. Have towed over 1k miles without issue. Tires are fine, bearings on left side need to be repacked. Will try to get to that this week. Has an off the shelf canvas cover in blue with lattice. A thrill to drive and the only way to see the lake and mountains the way they were seen in the 1950s. Auto bilge fully functional. Extremely fuel efficient. Cruises at 2500-3000 rpms. Engine cover is made of oak with a leather top - may want to redo in mahogany. Will eventually want to add fiberglass strips to the seams on the bottom. The original fiberglass over marine wood was a new design that could be improved by reglassing the seams to over the ribs. Small crack port-side windshield just happened due to rain gathering and making cover too tight - easy fix. Horn is LOUD. Spot light in chrome is decorative only. Original inline 6 engine fully functional at 80lbs pressure. One area on side was just expertly repaired using hand planed mahogany painted over with 3M-5200. Needs a painted stripe. Overall (+++) Beautiful boat that an enthusiast would enjoy restoring to its show potential, or just having a cruising boat that looks like $1 Million! Attending to the moderate needs described above would bring it to a much higher value should you ever wish to sell her. No Spam please: feel free to call afternoons EST with any questions: 802-777-3317. Seller reserves the right to end auction early, or to sell outside of eBay. Selling AS IS and WHERE IS with no warranty implied or expressed. Freshwater use only. Has been a thrill to own. Grabs attention everywhere. Sits low to the water with the thru-hull exhaust that rumbles so splendidly. Carves through the water. Feels like you are a Kennedy. Only thing missing is a cigar. But she even has a built-in original cigar lighter.

This mahogany sidewheeler was custom built by master carpenter Guenter and operated by Ron Inman in Kemah, Texas for millionaire C.H. Coffield between 1955 and 1958. It was Coast Guard documented as the original "Texas Queen" and was the flagship of the Texas Navy. It was mainly used for running between Kemah, Texas, New Orleans and Florida, but folklore has it docked at many other ports. It was donated to Baylor University in 1968. Baylor staff operated many excursions on this unique vessel on Lake Waco. In 1970 it purchased by Frank Lord, moved to Lake Whitney and moored at the B&B restaurant, where it was used as a tour boat. The boat originally had twin Cat diesels with pneumatic transmission. Unfortunately, in 1989 it was decommissioned and turned into a floating apartment. The engines, trans, paddlewheels and flywheels were removed. The rudders, steering, three fuel tanks, water and holding tanks are still intact. It has a rear stateroom, front saloon, lavatory with shower and electric head. Up top is the pilot house with steering and controls. The paddlewheels were made the centerpiece of the walkway to the boathouse. They will go with the boat. It has a ladder that goes in front for access to the upper deck. This boat will need total restoration and either new propulsion or reinstall the paddlewheels, possibly with hydraulic motors. It does have some rotten wood on the starboard side in the saloon. It did partially sink in its custom slip back in 2003 due to a faulty water heater. This boat is 48' long, 19'9" wide, and approximately 12' in height with the smoke stacks removed. For the wood boat enthusiast, this is a real find - a one and only piece of documented history. Due to the boat's past history with Baylor University, it would be an awesome Lake Brazos tailgating showpiece! It is located at Harbor Master Marina on Lake Whitney, Texas 76691. It has been removed from the water for inspection and transport. By the way, the slip is not for sale, just the boat and paddlewheels. The trailer is also available. Unrestored classic aluminum boat by Crestliner. Jetstreaks were only made in 1958 & 1959, and only about 200 were made. Great project. The boat is located in Denver, CO. Colorado does not issue titles for boats. It has been registered before but the registration has expired. It can be registered again if that is helpful. The seats in the photos go with boat. The windshield is for a different boat and does not go with the Jetstreak. We also have a disassembled 1956 Tee Nee trailer that was intended to go with the Jetstreak. And several vintage 1950's Mercury outboard motors and parts. **The trailer the boat is on, is NOT the Tee Nee trailer and is also NOT for sale.
