1987 17' Dixie boat, AQ151A 4-cylinder Volvo Penta motor,twin solex carburetors. Model 290 Volvo stern drive. Boat is in good shape,nice 17'galvanized trailer with tilt. Have boat & trailer titles. Motor has been sitting for a year. It has been flushed out and cleaned up. It need srarter put back on and needs a battery. with a little more work and it will be a great boat. It has new impeller, spark plugs and has a 29gal. Aluminum gas tank. has volvo stern drive shop manual B770. Also has a Xtra diving platform, pair of waterproof speakers, chartbooks and box stuff and more.. This is my Sunbird Corsair 200, 20 foot, 4.3l GM V6 190 HP Sterndrive Bowrider. It is an OMC boat, outfitted with the 190HP GM 4.3 L V-6 and a 1996 Volvo Penta SX Outdrive. The new drive was a factory replacement, after the original Cobra failed repeatedly under warranty. Quite an upgrade since the SX is bulletproof and still used today. The motor itself is a gem. Super reliable and it runs the whole season without the oil ever getting dirty. I have replaced the fuel pump, both water pumps, belts, coil and ignition, battery, and most every other wear item over the last 2 years. The boat is wrapped and stored every year. The boat has top speed of about 42mph, but I have it propped for quicker planing and better mid range cruising and family type use rather than top speed performance. I have seen the same boat model go well over 50mph, but I had no desire. The bow has been modified to be a fishing platform as the photos show. It is well constructed with pressure treated framing, Marine Plywood and Stainless hardware. I added a 24v Minnekota Power Drive V2 Trolling motor with both foot control and co-pilot key fob remote control. It is powered by dual 12V batteries beneath the platform with a Minnekota onboard recharging system. This was done last year, so everything is still like new. The motor and charging system alone were about $1200. The interior has been replaced with completely new Veada Seats that were custom made for this vessel 18 months ago. They were $1100 with a 3 month wait. There is also a $500 Kenwood 4 speaker Marine Stereo System The dash gauges were mostly inoperable, when I got the boat. So I replaced most of them with an in-dash Garmin 521S GPS/Fishfinder. I can't say enough about it. Again, less than 2 years old. The boat and trailer have all paperwork and are both currently registered. Title is clean with no liens. The trailer is in excellent shape and has new bearing buddies and new tires. I will consider delivery to you. I am semi-retired, so I can afford the time. We would have to calculate a fair price for mileage, etc. Here is the catch...The prop shaft is 0.015"out of round. I banged the prop on a few too many rocks earlier in my boating career and this is what happens eventually. I knew this going into the season and that it would eventually make the outer prop seals out of round and cause them to fail and leak oil. Well, it is starting to leak. The fix? My shop has quoted me $1300 to replace the 15" shaft and replace all the lower seals. But after looking at what is required in the service manual, I think I would have dropped the lower unit this winter and tackled it myself and it would cost under $100. It doesn't look that difficult for a DIY-er. The boat is still very usable. No further damage is going to occur as long as the gear oil is maintained. So I am willing to take serious buyers out for a test ride. If you add up the value, there is more in electronics and seating than my asking price for the entire package. And the package includes all safety equipment (flares, jackets, ropes, oars, 20lb anchor) boat cover, fender buoys, and extras.I would reasonably sell it for $5500, with the seal/shaft fixed and in peak selling season. So I am being realistic and discounting it accordingly. But it is a good solid boat with no hidden issues that is a really decent deal for the right person.
