Will need some work for sure but at this price you can't go wrong. The survey would come in at twice the price. Here's my offer and its a fair one. I priced the boat so low it should just sell without question. Brandon De Natale The Mediterranee 50 is built in one of the most industrialized boatyards in the world, and it is evident when onboard that attention to detail and superior old world craftsmanship have gone into building this boat. The 50 is an Italian cruiser with all the comforts and amenities you would expect on a 60 + foot yacht. Only a few of these exquisite vessels are shipped to the United States every year and I was lucky enough to test one thanks to Abruzese Yacht Sales in Yonkers, New York. The design of this European vessel is a breath of fresh air. Most state side built boats in the same range I find bulky or outdated. And most look the same and don’t have a character that is all their own. Not only does the Mediterranean’ 50 have sleek sexy lines and eye catching performance; it also delivers everything you could possibly need in an extended range cruiser. There are so many thoughtful and innovative features onboard that it took us a full day to shoot video of everything we thought was worthy of mentioning. Power This boat is so well laid out that it is perfect for a large family that wants a comfortable and fast cruiser to take them out to their favorite destinations and back over the course of the weekend. With her three staterooms and two-head setup you can do just that… and do it in style. One of the major contributing factors to the fast ride and extremely generous range are the twin 715-hp Volvo Penta D12 EDC engines. These are placed well forward and very low and together in the boat, leading to excellent performance and stability. There’s great access to the engines from two openings in the cockpit sole. I was frankly amazed with all the space aft of the engines where the steering hook-up and generator are located. There is also great access to the rudderposts and steering cables through the opening in the floor of the garage deck all the way aft. This provides great ventilation and comfort when working below. The use of sound deadening materials is evident in the quiet ride experienced when at speeds. We measured a steady 77 on the dBa meter for most of the range and got the highest reading of 83 at full throttle. The other contributing factor to the smooth ride and great performance is the well-designed hull. The hull of the Mediterranee’ 50 sports a deep-V in the bow with hard chines that cut down on spray. Further aft there are flat sections that help to stabilize the ride while the propellers are also housed in Prop pockets. All of this factors in for a uniquely smooth and stabile vessel that can take plenty of seas while still providing you with the best that luxury has to offer. Topside Layout The layout on deck is open and practical. I love the simplistic nature of European design and this boat speaks style and functionality. Back aft we find a large swim platform that makes getting onboard from the dock or tender easy. The boat also features a hydraulic passerelle, which features one button operation and is lighted for nighttime use. And when it comes to docking the Mediterranee’ 50 convenient features such as stern winches and a unique helm design allow the driver to quickly tend to lines when docking. This boat might be large but with all of the great features it’s a breeze to handle with two people. Located further aft is the garage where you can store a large inflatable or jet boat. It features convenient rollers and an electric winch to help retrieve the boat built into the bulkhead. The top of the garage also pulls double duty as a large sun pad for lounging. The Cockpit To port in the cockpit is a wet bar and electric grill. At first I wasn’t excited with an electric grill but after remembering how great that little grill I have at home is I started thinking how nice it would be to not have to worry about turning the propane on every time I wanted to cook. There is also a fridge and storage rack located just underneath the wet bar. Seating and Helm Over to starboard is a C-shaped seating arrangement and table, which comfortably seat six or seven adults. Forward of this area is the helm which is set up to accommodate four people. This is great for keeping everyone together and in the action while underway. To port there is a seat, which accommodates two. You will also find cup holders and plenty of dashboard storage. Over to starboard the two helm chairs are comfortable and are electronically controlled for the best possible line of site. They also feature a flip up bolster to make it comfortable when standing. Another great feature is the step that is located behind these two seats that when separated provides a quick way to get out on the side decks to tend lines when docking. The helm is well designed with good space for mounting additional gear. The Volvo controls are smooth, and the custom wood and leather Nardi steering wheel add a nice touch. The walkway up to the bow is wide and makes for easy passage. The railings are large stainless steel and provide great support. Also, the windshield features a wide large cap on top, which acts as a railing when moving forward. Up here there’s another large sun pad and wide open deck. You will also find a large anchor locker, windlass, fender storage and heavy-duty hardware throughout. Below Deck An aluminum sliding door provides the entrance to the cabin. Once below beautifully crafted American cherry cabinets and wall panels surround you. The door handles are covered in leather and the layout for the three staterooms and two heads creates a wide-open feel. As you enter the cabin you will find the two staterooms to port and starboard, one with two twins and the other with a full. Each provides plenty of storage and have large hanging lockers. Attached to the cabin and the port stateroom is the day-head which features an electric toilet and loads of cabinet space. One of the neat little features I found was the showerhead, which is built into the ceiling providing great coverage. GalleyThe galley is just to starboard and features loads of storage, Corian countertops and provides access to the ship’s electrical panel. Over to port is a U-shaped settee, which will seat five to six for meals, with the additional bench stools that are provided. Master Stateroom Just forward is the master stateroom with a double queen-sized bed and private head with shower. The cabin features beautiful woodwork around the berth and the cabin walls. There are two large hanging lockers with shelves, two portholes for fresh air, and a stereo with CD player for relaxation. Performance and Handling The seas were pretty flat when we took the 50 out for our test ride. She had a full tank of fuel and ¾ tank of water on board. We got her up to 40 mph and I’m sure she would push close to 45 with less weight aboard. The Volvo D12 engines provided smooth acceleration and excellent performance. This is truly a great weekend cruiser for the family. It can also be a great-extended cruiser for smaller couples, and affords plenty of storage for all of your gear and toys. The hull provided a solid ride and with the unique hull design you’re sure to feel safe and secure when traveling in seas. While the cruiser market here in the states is a little old fashioned, the unconventional lines and traditional quality Italian craftsmanship is a welcome import that is sure to find its way into your family. I have more money in this boat than I am selling it for, with that said, I am not in hurry to sell it nor do I need to. I just hate seeing it sit unused. I no longer spearfish and have not taken the boat out in over a year. This Trophy is a Walkaround with a cabin. A Volvo diesel engine has been installed as an in-board and it also has the Volvo Penta DP 290 outdrive. The tank holds 100 gallons of diesel and is full. The gentleman I purchased the boat from said it gets close to 5mpg. I did not test this as I never took it more than a mile offshore but it does get good mileage putting up and down the Intercoastal. After I purchased the boat I pulled out the old electronics that were in it and installed a Garmin 7212 Chartplotter, Garmin VHF200 radio, Garmin GMR 18 HD radar, Kenwood Apple iPod/Satellite Radio Marine receiver, and Kenwood 61/2” 2-way speakers. If I remember right, all this stuff somewhere between $5000-$5500 when purchased. I never decided which one I wanted so right now the boat does NOT have a transducer. The boat has a metal grate platform on the back that can be used as a swim platform and it also holds a SSI 320 quart ice chest which will also come with the boat. The boat has a hard fiberglass top. I also purchased a custom cover for the boat which was $500 or maybe a little more. It comes with the aluminum tri-axle trailer you see it on. I installed new wiring and LED lights on the trailer and also added side marker lights. The trailer does not have brakes and pulls just fine. As far as the boat: The previous owner installed a Vintage Air AC system but I’ve never used it. The belt is also not hooked up on the compressor. I asked the guy I bought it from if it worked and he said yes but there was a squeak. I looked at the compressor pulley alignment with the crank pulley and it needs to be spaced out so that could be the only problem. This boat does have a head and freshwater tanks. I’ve never used them so I could not tell you if it works. Same thing for the live well. The previous owner stated all of this worked. The boat looks pretty good but could definitely use a good buffing in my opinion. There are also some various gel-coat cracks. The seats could use some new covers/cusions and the engine could use a good scrape and repaint, I just have not had time to do it. It comes with an anchor that has been mounted but never used. I have the good service manuals for the diesel engine and the outdrive and I'm pretty sure I have the boat owner's manual as well which I will give to the buyer. I also have the Garmin 18 HD instructional DVD that I purchased from Amazon and never opened to give to the buyer. The last time I did take out the boat I bent the props. I had a spare set so I cleaned them up, painted them, and put them on so while they look new in the picture, they are not, just painted but in good condition. I still need to tighten them up. I did not have a lock washer so I had to order one so I just loosely put them on. If I don’t get to it, I will give those parts to the buyer should the boat sell. I also have replaced the bellows and the throttle cable. I have Volvo paint and primer for the engine that I will give the buyer. Also have some paint for the outdrive that you can have. The trailer tires hold air and I have not added any in the time I owned it, surprisingly. I replaced one tire on the trailer so there is one tire that is practically new. The other 5 will probably need to be replaced sooner than later and if the boat is to go on a long road trip I would do it before the trip. I think this should cover it for now, lemme know if you have any questions and I’ll try to answer. I have the title for the boat on hand but will have to give a bill of sale for the trailer. The previous owner had the trailer registered as home made, I just kept it the same. I may be open to trades but the auction will still need to be completed through Ebay so Ebay can get paid. Boat is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the listing early if need be. Trades I would be interested in can be partial plus cash or full trade. I’d value the trade at around $20K-$22K. Things that I would be interested in and kind of in order would be: Heavy Equipment: Man lift, preferably towable and articulating with at least 35-40’ height, closer to 50' would be perfect. Need one for my yard so not an indoor unit. Hanging Christmas lights on my extension ladder sucks and I have lots of oaks that need trimming. Might consider a trade for a tractor but must have a front end loader and not too big. The only reason I don’t have one now is because I don’t want to tear up my lawn and I rarely need one. Services: Metal building kit for me to build, or you install a metal building to replace or expand on my existing pole building, or maybe a standalone building for another thing on my project list. Vehicles: Classic car, motor not that important but would prefer not much if any body work. May consider other cars just in case I do sell my truck after the boat. 4 door Jeep Wrangler, SUV, not sure, haven’t really thought about it. Lol Tools: Lincoln or Miller Tig welder, Thermal Dynamics plasma cutter, wood lathe, nice sandblast cabinet, jointer. Recreational: RV, prefer a light weight bumper pull because I may sell my F-350 after the boat and would need to tow with normal SUV. Can Am Maverick or Polaris Razr side by side, 4 door, 1000cc. No motorcycles, my wife would kill me. Will try and put some more pictures of the boat up soon but I just had surgery so it may take a few days for me to climb in for more pics. If someone lives a far distance away I’ll help with delivery for a charge of course, have to put a pen to it but probably $1.00/mile with a deposit of course and if that is the case, I’ll have 5 new tires put on the trailer if it sells for my asking price. The stern of the hull flattens out providing an extra stabile platform. The boat is currently on the hard but was just motored down the waterway 50 miles to its current boatyard a few weeks ago. The boat has twin 2018 Volvo Penta D4 diesel engines matched with Volvo Penta Duo-prop outdrives. The engine room is located beneath the steps in the stern. With the 18-foot beam, there is plenty of room inside. A covered overhang from the massive upper deck surrounds the cabin, providing protection from rain and shade. A large auxiliary tank is mounted on the bow for extra fuel storage. The spacious cabin has plenty of windows and a sliding glass door to the aft, for easy entry. The helm is well laid out.
