Up for auction is a turn-key 1970 Greavette Sunflash with 'new' 120 hp I/O and trailer. I say 'turn-key' as the last time the boat hit the water was September 2009 after which, I winterized it, and put it in the garage. Fast forward six years (including a divorce and a relocation) . . . I decided this gem is too good not to be used so, I pulled it out, detailed it, flushed the tank, installed a new impeller, changed the oil (engine and lower unit), installed the battery, and she started up on the second turn of the key. I dropped her in the water that day (July 3, 2015) and she performed perfectly. Ownership History:I'm the third owner (purchased in July 2001 from its home lake in Huntsville, Ontario Canada) after seeing it in the 'Field of Dreams' at the ACBS Gravenhurst boat showImproper winterization in 2004 resulted in a frozen/cracked block. Complete replacement in August 2004 - $6,100 (didn't even use it that year as the work was done in Canada where I picked it up then winterized). She's been used less than 10 hours since engine replacement so, still in break-in period. If you're looking for a turn-key classic, here you go. As with any wooden boat that hasn't been glassed-over or 'West-ed', it will need to soak to swell, but that it is expected and all that's required for this boat. Not to sound cliché, but, fair warning: If you don't like attention, you may want to consider bidding. These classic woodies are attention-getters, and conversation starters no matter where you go (including no-wake zones where folks idled-up next to me last week just to offer compliments and take a closer look).
