The engine compartment is very clean. Everything looks like it has been taken care off really well. The cabin is clean, and the interior upholstery is in good shape. GPS is new. According to the seller, all systems work properly and there has only been routine maintenance required on this boat. The manifolds and risers were replaced recently which is common on a boat of this age used in brackish water. All work has been done by the local marina. This boat has been stored inside its entire life. The trailer tires were recently replaced due to age. Located near Chocowinity, North Carolina on the Pamlico River, this Wellcraft Scarab 29 is a classic high-performance boat built for speed and a smooth ride. Powered by twin MerCruiser 350 Mags coupled with Alpha One outdrives with stainless steel props and trim tabs, it gets on plane in 3.25 seconds and cruises at 45 mph with a top speed of 66 mph. The 100-gallon fuel tank provides plenty of range for long rides. The cockpit is built for true high performance operation with standup 2-position bolster seats. There is full instrumentation for both engines and all electronics including tachometer with hour meter, speedometer, fuel, voltmeter, trim gauges and oil pressure. There is an aft bench bolster seat with underneath storage access. A Clarion AM/FM/CD player with speakers and remote control provides lots of sound. The cabin is accessed via a sliding Plexiglas door and includes a V-berth which sleeps 2, a self-contained head, and hanging locker. Aft there is an integrated swim platform with telescoping ladder and a cushioned sun pad on top of the electric engine compartment hatch. This boat needs to be seen to be appreciated. Runs perfect and strong. No damage. Never sat in water. First owner had it 15 years and I for 3 years. Original graphics. New custom Bimini and full camper canvas enclosure that I had made. Has new travel cover. Snap on cockpit cover and snap in carpet in cockpit. Interior and seats are excellent. 100 gallon fuel. Aluminum dual axle trailer with surge brakes both axles. Just serviced brakes and new master cylinder. Goodyear Marathons put on 3 years ago spare never used. Boat runs great and cruises easily at 40 and can get to at least 63 GPS and I never really tried to see if it would exceed that. I am not a top end guy. Mostly used on Lake Michigan. New water pumps installed when I bought it and had new plugs put in both motors along with compression checks that were all good. Through hull captains call exhaust.
