Built in 1964, she's Impossible to duplicate today, built with Singapore 3" teak 3" from 300 year-old trees, then aged in mud for 20 years. The wood is on Iroko (ironwood frames). The teak is not susceptible to worms or rot. It is stronger and requires less maintenance than aluminum, steel or fiberglass.67 feet on deck and 83 feet overall, Raffles Light is a magnificent sailing yacht, a wonderful experience under sail or at anchor.She draws just 5 FEET board up, and 12 board down, making her very cruise friendly, yet a capable sailor as required. Her current owner authored the "Free Cruising Guides" completing all of the guides while aboard, which are now a staple for cruisers world-wide. Some additional details:Sails are new by Ullman 2014: main, Genoa, staysail and mizzen. Boat also has drifter and mizzen staysail. Engine is 283 HP Cummins diesel installed 5 years ago with 2000 hours.
