Up for sale is this classic Hallett full stringer flat bottom V-drive boat .I recently purchased this boat for a winter project ,but I acquired two other flat bottoms and I need the space . This hull has solid stingers and floors . It has fiberglass tanks and was set up for a Ford FE 390 engine . It comes with rebuilt Casale gear box that has been polished to profection . This boat has aadjustable cavitation plate . This hull comes with all hardware minus FE engine plates and exhuast part . The title is clean and currently registered and the trailer is included with clean title as well . This trailer will need tires and lights for long travel . The skaggs and rudder as well as prop and shaft etc.. hardware are included in the sale . This is a great restoration classic project that will be all the talk on the lake or river when finished . 2005 Kawasaki 15f four stroke wave runner that needs some engine work! Motor is out of boat and torn down due to low compression from valves not seating and some nikisil flaking in cylinders! Will need the valves pulled, cleaned and re-seated and then cylinders sleeved or re-plated and then will be good to go! Great winter project and priced at around 50% of value plus it comes with extra engine parts such as pistons and rods from another motor that I had! This is a 1984 Bayliner Capri Cuddie Cabin PROJECT boat. Sadly, the previous owners did not keep it covered very well which resulted in the usual "soft" floor & rotted wood. I have stripped out 90% of the bad wood from the floor & the floor stringers. The 4 stringers will need replaced & glassed in and then the main floor added on top of them. Carpet would be the next thing that needs replaced. I do have all of the interior side panels-they would probably clean up satisfactorily OR you could have them reupholstered. I retained the folding seats BUT had to remove the seat "boxes" as they too were in too bad a shape. I kept one of the seat box sides for a pattern if you would want to go back to the "factory" design. My intent was to simply use pedestal seats. If you went with the original folding seats, they would need reupholstered as well. The cuddie area is solid but you would probably want to recover the cushions to match whatever you choose for carpet & seats. I have all of the hardware that was taken off during the stripping process as well as the original Bayliner swim ladder & mounts. The trailer is an Escort GALVANIZED unit that originally came with the boat and is in good condition. Tires are very good and it comes with a brand new spare tire & wheel. It will need the lights rewired, but I can do that, if you'd like, for transport. The hubs have Bearing Buddies fitted for easy greasing. Overall, the trailer is in good shape. I towed it home with a Toyota Tacoma with no problems. Overall length of the boat & trailer is 20' so it will fit in a standard garage. The tongue of the trailer could be unbolted to give you more working room as well. I have kept it in my garage during the "stripping' process to keep everything drying out for future work. This would make someone a great winter project that should result in a solid boat. A 30 to 50HP motor was my plan and should move it along nicely. I have a clean Ohio Boat title for this boat and it is currently registered with the Division of Watercraft through 2018. 1973 by Woods Hole scientific on Cape Cod - They borrowed the hull mold from MAKO and laid a double+ Hull and built a rugged walk around cuddly cab to be used for short, shallow depth exploring ,,,, etc. 22 ft hull 8 ft beam stainless rails full 2X8 gunnels a diver can sit on for entry and it doesn't move a micron. Stand, jump beat it with a big stick - this boat is a rugged and safe open water boat. I taught SCUBA off it for a couple of years. It hasn't run for 10+ years - put away with engine fogged real good. 165 GM I/O (I have a rebuilt I/O that has never been used that goes with it) A box of goodies (new starter, cleaners,,,etc) Winter now gone It is a good project boat. Weighs around 4000 lb.'s. Run it onto sand bars or whatever - this is a rugged hull dude! Call 603 6704653 email will be given to those who want the boat. This is a truly unique vessel. She has been fully restored and refitted. Boat is a must see. She comes rigged superior to many boats in her class with; separate spinnaker and jib tracks, retracting spinnaker pole. The running rigging is brought back to the cockpit for easy handling through line clutches and new harken winches (6 total). These are just a few of the features that make this an awesome vessel. Standing rigging and mast is new to the boat (2005) and engine is new (2010) 28hp Beta (marinized Kubota) The boat was in the water 2.5 years before I had to pull her out and store her on the hard to return to school. I began a process of retrofitting and improving some of her accessories having cruised her to the Chesapeake and back. Upgrades include diesel cabin heater, lengthened and reinforced companionway hatch, smaller engine box, electric anchor windlass. As projects go, one turned into another and I decided to strip the deck (then the hull) to repaint (paint was approaching 10 yrs old). Lots of sanding and fairing and the boat now is primed (545 epoxy primer) and faired smopoth ready for finish coat. Boat comes with a gallon of Awlcraft Royal Blue and Moondust (light beige) for the hull and deck which are the same colors the boat had on it. The boat is COMPLETE with ALL nuts and fasteners all in labeled bags with a diagram. The boat is disassembled and READY FOR PAINT and reassembly. This vessel continues to be a head turner and with a little diligent work will be back in the water by winter. The boat comes with a heavy duty cover in addition to the canopy pictured. These two things make all the difference when working in the Florida heat. Unfortunately my job has taken me to a place where no sailor wishes to go… a landlocked city, so the boat cannot accompany me and I am too far away to be able to finish her. The only reason I'm selling it is because I just purchased another vehicle and don't want to have two sports cars at the same time. I purchased this boat last year from original owner who sold it only because boat was partially submerged in fresh water lake due to service mistake last summer. Air conditioner hose was lose and boat got water in engine compartment. It was removed from water, water was drained from all systems, engines were flushed and boat was stored inside all last summer. It was winterized in October last year and has not being in water since. Boat has some minor fiberglass damage where cleat was located on port side, it got broken when boat was removed from water (can be seeing on pictures), otherwise hull is in good shape. Boat is fully loaded, has twin Mercruiser 5.7 250 hp engines, Bravo two outdrives, Kohler generator 5 kWt, hot & cold fresh water system, large head with shower cabin, home-style kitchen and can sleep up to 6 people. Flybridge is huge and can sit up to 8 people. I'm attaching all the images I have. Trailer is a triple axle custom made heavy duty trailer. Boat is located in Dubuque, Iowa. If you recognize storage please do not show up there without appointment, you will not be allowed to see it unless I authorize it. Purchased this boat to bring it to Toronto, Canada and wanted to use it as a summer house at Toronto's Harbour Marina, but could not arrange transportation to Canada and boat was stored in marina for a year now.
