The most unique feature of Serenity I is her two level Master. The space going forward from this vanity has 14? of headroom giving the suite a very wide open feeling. Forward is a vanity with stool and drawer. On top of the burl wood vanity top is a Samsung 17" Synchmaster LCD TV monitor. To starboard are five steps leading down to the mid level area with two large, tall double door hanging locker, a second vanity with stool, two portholes with stainless steel weather covers and drapes plus a free form Lucite hand rail. Master Bath w/ Jacuzzi and Sauna The space afforded by this two level Master is nothing short of amazing. Three curved steps down and aft from the mid level area is a very large space with port and starboard his and her sinks with bow front vanities with storage below, Granite countertops, under mount UFO sinks and Grohe fixtures. Above each sink is a mirrored door medicine cabinet and porthole with drapes. Forward to starboard are three storage cabinets. Forward to port is the separate room for the toilet. Behind the curved entry door are three storage cabinets, a Vacuuflush toilet, an overhead halogen mini spot, an exhaust fan and a Galaxy granite countertop. Aft through a clear glass door and a round glass sidelight is what makes this suite so unique. We have only owned this boat since Valentine’s Day this year however we have had an unfortunate life changing event that forces us to sell our beauty and pass the project on to someone else who will bring her back to the original beauty she deserves. This boat is truly unique in that - it is the only one like it in the world. According to Wikipedia Chris Craft only made FOUR of the conquerors in 1958 and this one is the only survivor. She is work in progress but in the end, I can only image what she will be worth. Imagine owning the only boat in the world. There is so much room on this boat; it’s like your own personal floating condo. You can take it any where your heart desires, she’s ready to run. The work this boat needs is cosmetic, not mechanical; she starts right up and sounds amazing! They just don’t make boats like this anymore. The boat is Philippine mahogany double planked construction with original teak decks. She has 3 staterooms, 3 heads, one BIG salon and nice size galley. The salon has 13 windows (4 are cracked) there are bookshelf’s on both sides, above the bookshelf's there is a piece of wood that needs replaced. The salon has a new AC unit installed that works great. The original chart table in the salon is just beautiful to look at. Forward from the salon we have the galley. She has a 2 burner glass stove top, a brand new refrigerator, built in microwave, full 2 sided vinyl booth seating, and small pantry and allot of storage. She also has the original black and white checkered vinyl floor from 1958. The counters and sink have been upgraded to corian. The ceiling in the galley needs some work. Forward of the galley you have the crew quarters/V-berth and a head with a beautiful Corian counter-top. Also plenty of lockers and storage. Aft of the salon is the guest stateroom with 2 twin beds, a hanging locker/wardrobe, and plenty of drawers and storage cabinets. Across from guest stateroom is a head with a toilet and sink with Corian counter-top. Next aft we have the master stateroom. There is 1 full size bed (Mattress not included) and 1 twin bed with a very nice upgraded top quality mattress, 2 hanging lockers, drawers and an aft hatch that opens to the completely enclosed cockpit. There is an attached head with a complete Corian shower, Corian floors and counter-tops. Forward of galley is with twin bunks, storage lockers, and an attached head with sink, and Corian counter-top. This yacht is 99% completely original. The layout, every drawer, cupboard, and each and every handle & doorknob are original to this yacht. The only things changed on her are laminate floors in salon, Corian counters in all 3 heads and galley, plus a complete Corian shower and floor. Her original mahogany is apparent throughout the yacht. Nothing has been painted over. Any wood that might need replacing is visible. As you can tell from the photos her rich mahogany interior is a true state of beauty. We work on this boat every day, we are just finishing up the front deck, and it was completely sanded and refinished. We also did the aft of the boat and we are currently putting our final coat on the front deck. (If the rain would cooperate, it would be done) I have many of the original documents for this boat including the original work order to build the boat with both matching engine numbers listed. I also have the blueprints, original 1958 advertisement, the specs from Chris Craft from 1958, and receipts for some of the work done over the years by previous owner. This boat has been kept in her original state. She has not been cut up, or had cheap cabinets installed or had her original integrity compromised. These vintage yachts are very hard to find in their original condition much less with original paperwork. She is powered by twin Detroit Diesels 6I-71 that runs STRONG. Engines are original to this boat with approximately 2300 hours on them. There is also a 4JBLE-01 20 KW Yammer Generator that runs everything on the boat with power to spare! Generator has a new water strainer. She has 12V and 110 electrical systems in place. Ship to Shore power switch has been recently updated to a modern Oman switch. Engine batteries have been replaced with 8D 12V for more sufficient engine starting. Toilet has been updated with a new Electra Scan system which makes living aboard so easy. No holding tanks to empty EVER! New water pump installed in shower as well as new bilge pumps installed throughout entire boat. New air conditioner installed in salon. Wired for cable TV/internet. There are TWO 100 lb gas tanks on this boat but we were told one gas tank is out of commission - we are not why - we never looked into in further detail 100 gallons is plenty of gas. Some of the gauges do not work We have a comprehensive survey from a wooden boat surveyor/specialist from 2011.... Last pullout bottom job was done 2012 however she gets her bottom scrapped and cleaned on a regular basis with new anodes and zincs as she sits in salt water right now in Shalimar, FL. Without doubt, the Hatteras 50/53 Motor Yacht is the most successful medium sized motor yacht ever built, with over 600 of them between their various incarnations. They were in production from 1965 to 1989, a full twenty-four years. This yachts enduring popularity comes from a combination of excellent quality, good design, and a great use of space. Power is sufficient for pleasure cruising with a pair of 8V71 Naturals. Whether as a summer home or a vacation getaway, this boat has been meticulously maintained and run every season. This boat runs as well as it looks. The hulls and superstructure are built like a tank with the bottoms about an inch thick with balsa cored sides and decks. These are first rate production motor yachts. Service requirements are relatively minor if the previous owner has kept up with maintenance. Virtually any yard can work on these boats and is familiar with them. That's the advantage of long-term production. With her 15'10" beam this is a big 50 footer and the layout takes maximum advantage of that space. Most people love the galley down layout with the dinette opposite which is great for informal meals. The galley is big enough, and well enough equipped with a full sized range top, while still having adequate counter space as well as plenty of storage space. The owner's stateroom is more than adequate and the guest staterooms are ample as well. Heads and shower size is more than adequate. This standard accommodation arrangement provides three large staterooms, an aft master, mid guest and a forward staff or guest, all with ensuite heads.. This vessel is truly pristine in looks, exceptionally equipped and is meticulously professionally maintained. Accomodations SALON, MAIN DECK Salon access is via port or starboard side sliding doors. The large Salon is the nucleus of this popular vessel. The distinct Lower Helm is situated in the forward quarter and has been redesigned to incorporate well with the living area for time spent underway or at dock. The salon is ample sized and features a comfortable convertible sofa and flat screen TV. All windows feature blinds. The headliner and carpet were replaced in the summer of 2005. The salon has 1 newer AC/heater unit ensuring a comfortable environment no matter the time of year. The lower helm includes engine synchronizers, newer Standard Horizon Navigation and Radar with east coast maps. VHF radio in the panel port of the helm.
