Dave Bruski (888) 558-9474 13710 NE 20th Street Bellevue Washington 98005 ? ? ? ? 1927 Ditchburn 20 Classic Wooden Speed Boat, Gentlemans Racer Vehicle Information Year: 1927 Make: Ditchburn Model: Speed Boat Condition: Used ? ? ? ? 1 of 37 ? View Large Images ? ? Description Built by Ditchburn Boats of Lake Muskoka, Ontario, the 'Malolo' (Flying Fish in Hawaiian), was originally custom built for Casper Erholm of Lake Whatcom, WA in 1927. Ditchburn Boats were known as the Rolls Royce of boats at the time and were considered to be one of the premier speed boat and yacht builders in the world. They also built racing boats, twice winning the Gold Cup and the Harmsworth Trophy once. This fabulous example is thought to be one of only about two-dozen remaining worldwide, with the majority being restored and residing in eastern Canada. Don't miss this opportunity at adding this incredible, extremely rare and highly desired Ditchburn wooden speed boat to your collection. The Malolo was referred to as a 'Gentleman's Racer'. It was exceptionally fast for its day, going 28 miles per hour. It is powered by a Grey Marine four-90 Fireball racing engine and has Dual Carburettors and High Compression. It had to run on aviation fuel at that time. The Malolo's original owner, Casper Erholm, was the son of Charles Erholm, the 'Finnish Laundry King of Bellingham', who founded Pacific Steam Laundry in 1889. In 1921, Erholm's son Casper began his apprenticeship in the family business. One can only imagine the young and entitled playboy cruising in what may have been Lake Whatcom's fastest boat. The Malolo plied the waters of Lake Whatcom from 1927 to 1959, when it suffered hull damage from hitting a dead head. It went into storage and stayed there until 2005, when its stewardship was passed to the passionate master-crafters at Glen Cove Boatworks. The restoration was undertaken by craftsmen Richard Montag, Tom Walton and Terry Buzzard, along with assistance and advice from many others, including historians from the Lake Whatcom Motor Boat Club. With an eye toward keeping this very special and rare watercraft as near to original as possible, the team painstakingly restored 'Malolo'. The result is an absolutely stunning piece of American boat building history that is sure to impress even the snobbiest boaters. The engine refurbishment was entrusted to the legendary Hy Twiford. Hy starting working with his dad at the Cleveland Yacht Club in the family boat repair business, Twiford Marine Services. He had an innate ability to fix anything, especially if it had to do with boats or boat engines. Jim Rowland of Jim's Upholstery hand-crafted the leather seats, Clawson Instruments expertly refurbished the gauges, the electrical system was restored by Ken Benthien. Larry Oliverson masterfully applied the graphics. The silver highlights are actually Palladium leaf, which is about 5-times more expensive than Gold leaf. Ditchburn Boats is the popular name for a manufacturer of wooden pleasure craft launches and racing boats located in Gravenhurst, Ontario, on Lake Muskoka. At one time the company was the largest boat manufacturer in the lake region. Ditchburn operated from 1871 until approximately the 1930s building wooden rowboats and canoes early in its history, and later gasoline-powered launches. Ditchburn is particularly known for producing high-quality mahogany launches which have become highly prized by collectors in recent years. Fish slaying machine - Classic 1984 Boston Whaler Outrage 22'. This is sweet old school ride that handles better than most new boats on the market. We get looks/waves/compliments every time we take this classic out! It's a great Ocean/Bay boat and I will miss it. Only reason i'm selling is that my creek is too shallow at low tide and I need a shallower draft boat to do more sandbar/day trips with two young kids (downgrading to 17' Montauk). This boat is used, but not abused. There is one small imperfection on the corner of hull that has been coated with epoxy to prevent water intrusion (see pic). Other than this, the boat has normal cracks and chips for the age. The bottom is in good shape, no damage, but could use a sanding with new paint before another season in the water. Decks are solid and hull is dry. Dual batteries in rear and 2-stroke oil tank under the console. The electrical wiring needs some organization under the console. Left bow light does not work, it's intermittent at best. The fuel gauge is not reliable either. The boat gets used often like I said, turn key and roll out! The console and leaning post have teal green covers. 1996 225hp Yamaha Salt Water Series II Outboard with stainless steel prop. This is a carburated (not fuel injected) motor with good/even compression in all cylinders. Motor is reliable and fast. This combination will cruise at 30mph running about 4k rpm. Will top out at 40mph WOT with current prop. Higher pitch prop will get more top end, but the hole shot with this setup is nuts. Fuel tank is solid. No signs of pitting or corrosion when looking through 8" inspection ports. Fuel line coming off the tank looks newer. I doubt the tank is original, but I have no way of proving that. Bow rail is off now, but it comes with boat (holes filled in to prevent water intrusion - see pic). The bow rail caused some minor cracking in the gel coat around the attachment points, this is a normal issue with these boats. There are some suggestions/modifications to the rail to prevent further damage online (Continuous Wave and Whaler Central). Replacement teak rod holders also come with boat. The trailer does NOT go with this sale. The trailer was only used to get the boat from blocks to the dock behind house. Bunk trailer should be used for long-term storage for this boat. If you need it transported and blocked we can work this out depending on where you live. Like I said, I will miss this boat. I got over my head for the depth in my creek, but I had to try! This second video has some actions shots of the whaler. Check out scenes 0:30 and 2:12 to avoid the family stuff..

I have a 15' all marine wooden fishing boat with a Little Dude tilt trailer, 20 Hp Mercury outboard motor, 2 metal gas tanks, set of oars, 2 anchors, spare tire for trailer, and a full boat cover for sale. My boat was hand built by John Bolinger from Toledo, Ohio in 1953 for my Uncle, whom died at a young age. My Father and Uncle used the boat on Lake Erie with a 50 Hp motor on it for fishing. My Grandfather used the boat down in Central Florida during the Winter months. Since my Father gave the boat to me, I have used it on lakes here in Hillsdale and Lenawee Counties for fishing and just out having fun boating on the lakes. I live in Adrian, Michigan and have the boat here at my residence. I am looking for that special person that has an eye for wooden boats that appreciates the craftsmanship that goes into building such a fun and beautiful boat. This boat has been in our Family since it was built and now I am looking for someone to enjoy it also. You can reach me by my cell phone number 517-918-9403 for information and a time to come look at the boat....

Please call boat owner Chuck at 509-218-8150. Congratulations Choosing SLICKCRAFT Motor Boat, great idea. I did buy this boat and have maintained ever since. The Slickcraft has many fine and exciting features for your boating enjoyment. Full freshwater cooling. Engine 351 FORD and 190 OMC out-drive. Also you have a trailer to pull it, with surge-brakes, exceptionally safe. Brand Caulkins, made in Spokane. 1976 Model but don't let that worry you... The best years for Slickcraft AMF boats were the 70's when they made their reputation. Holland Michigan, where it was manufactured. AMF bought this line in 1976, because of the quality and the future of building larger boats, the TRARA LINE. We looked at boats from Sea Ray, Bay liner, Freedom, Fiborform, Glastron, Glassply, Larson, and felt this boat was one of the best available for technology, quality of workmanship, features, and value. Purchased from a dealer Lake Washington Yacht Club, shipped to Seattle straight from the factory. Gel coat still shines and the hull and transom are solid. This hull is hand laid, not with a chop gun, and over on Balsa Wood Underlayment, not Styrofoam that can collects moisture and weighs the boat down... While on the lake it was always kept on a shore station, and kept in a heated building during the winter up until 2010. There are 615 real hours on the engine. Never had any major problems, the tilt motor needs to be taken apart, they sometime stick. Access is easy to all areas of the engine compartment. The boat was taken out every year and run for few hours of fun however I am at that age now that it is going to be too much work, and that it is time someone young could enjoy this boat as I have. GUARANTEED WHEN YOU TAKE THIS BOAT OUT EVERYONE LOOKS AND ASKS QUESTIONS IT IS A CLASSIC AND NOTHING COMES CLOSE, YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR THE COST, NOTHING COMPARES. FIND A BOAT LIKE THIS AT TODAY'S PRICES I WILL BE SURPRISED. REMEMBER ASK YOURSELF FOR THE COST OF BOATS TODAY AND THE AMOUNT OF HOURS ON THIS ONE, THIS IS A DEAL YOU CAN'T PASS UP. YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH. WHEN I BOUGHT THIS BOAT IT WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE SMALL IO OUT THERE. ITS LIKE A SPORTS CAR ONCE YOU BUY A GOOD ONE YOU YOU DON'T LOOK BACK, EVERYONE LOOKS AT YOU. PS. I LIKED IT SO WELL I BOUGHT THE 22 FOOT CUTIE-CAB WITH ALSO FOR SALE.BOTH BOATS HAD MOORING STATIONS OUT OF THE WATER. WHAT SET UP. BUT PEOPLE SAY ITS TIME.

Up for sale is one 11 ft xLight SUP Paddle Board SOT330L purchased from the inflatable watercraft leader www.boatstogo.com. This has to be one of the lightest inflatable SUP boards on the market. At just 17 pounds, even a young child could get this thing to the water. Yes, its weight makes it pretty portable, but the fact that it can be collapsed down to a size we can all fit in our cars is even more impressive. In fact, it is what sold me on the board. Turns out, quite a few other people were sold on the portability. The 11Foot XLight inflatable paddle board is currently on back-order at http://www.boatstogo.com/surfboards.asp?NoMenu=Y. So many people are finding the sport of paddle boarding that it is beginning to get difficult to find a good board. That is why I am selling this one at $100 above the BoatsToGo price. With the demand, I think the price is only fair. You can check out the specs of the board yourself from the SUP Paddle Boards page at the BoatsToGo website.

This boat has LIFTING STAKES on the toons for faster speeds. The third toon allows for great handling characteristics not usually found on these types of boats. The engine is a Mercury 115HP fuel injected outboard engine. The engine starts up on the first bump of the key. Also has new battery. It features HYDRAuLIC STEERING which makes fast turns easy to complete. There is no fighting the steering wheel to get this one to turn even at full throttle. She is 24 feet long and has plenty of room for a large group. Holds 14 guest. There is a storable table that sets up in seconds for convenient eating. Also has an onboard sink with pump to supply water. It has always been properly winterized and stored indoors during the winter months since new. The pontoon has plenty of power to tow a skier, wakeboarder, or tube. Also comes with a very nice tow bar attachment for easy and sturdy setup for the tow line. As you will see the interior is in very good shape. The carpet is in good shape as are the vinyl seats. There is a ton of storage under all the seats for life vest and all other safety gear. The radio works great and comes with a cd player. Also has lighting in the front and floor of the boat for nighttime cruises. All navigation lights work as well. There is a live well with aerator, we never used it so I can not say for sure it works. However there is no reason for me to think it wouldn't. The boat comes with a full seating area cover as seen in the photos. The Bimini cover works great to get a break from the sun on those really hot days. Very easy to get in and out of the water for swimming. The boat is a great combination between a party barge and also a water sport boat. It comes up on plain very easy and has plenty of power to move up and down the river. We had our 1 year old daughter on the boat all summer and she had a blast. I can't quote fuel mileage for sure but it holds 30 gallons and we usually would use about 3 to 4 gallons on each outing. This included pulling skiers and tubing. Compared to powerboats it is much better on gas. Also we used 90 octane non ethanol fuel so the fuel system would not be damaged by todays 10% ethanol based fuel found at regular gas stations. It has been owned locally since new with the first two owners being members with me at Marietta Boat Club and ensured me before our purchase the excellent care the boat received at all times. This was backed up by other members who witnessed its maintenance records. It is a no story boat and I wouldn't have put my young daughter on it if there were any doubts in my mind. Includes 2006 Bear Trailer worth over 2k.
