1936 Dual Cockpit Vintage 15’ Wooden Boat “Miss Bert” Historic connection to Pasco Tri-City Kennewick areas, WA Vintage Hydroplane & Racing Boats on the Columbia River This 1936 historic wooden boat was named in the 40’s as “Miss Bert” after the original owner’s wife, Roberta. It has been passed down through 2 families, and enjoys the racing history of the Tri-City area on the Columbia River of Washington State. This has always been a fixture to the area, only used fresh water. This is a 1936 Mahogany Dual Cockpit boat built with copper rivets. The copper rivets were known to be used in custom Reinell, and other area quality built boats. The actual maker of this custom boat is unknown, but believed to be from the Puget Sound area. Mahogany was the top grade material used for the era. The side name & painting is original and vintage to this historic boat, this is not a recreation! You can tell the condition, boat has very low hours. There is no rot and all wood, seats, everything is original. Boat has always been kept on the trailer in heated garage type storage. HISTORY: In the 1970’s the boat was refitted with a newer motor and side throttle controls. The original 1937 Johnson Seahorse 22.5 HP motor was placed on a stand in the heated boat garage where it sat for decades. During the last decade, the low hours & original Johnson Seahorse 22.5 HP outboard motor was freshened up and polished and replaced onto the boat. It runs strong & fast.... I was told mid to high 30 mph ranges for the sleek & light weight boat. The Johnson outboard is a unique 2-cylinder with compression bleed off of one cylinder for easy starts. It also has a built in flush port for water hose. It turns over easily, but was drained of gas and winterized a few seasons ago. The steering wheel is active for the outboard. Boat has lived its life in the sunny & dry desert areas of Eastern WA. Sale of this vintage boat includes the original 1937 Johnson Seahorse Outboard with brass propeller. It also includes the vintage wooden trailer. Both boat and trailer are licensed and currently titled. Vintage trailer is in excellent condition and ready to tow anywhere. Boat and trailer were recently towed hundreds of miles from Tri-City areas to Seattle, WA, where it is presently garaged. TERMS OF SALE: Initial Paypal payment due upon end of auction. Balance due seller within 5 days, unless prior terms approved by seller. This is a vintage wood boat sold as-is without warranty by seller. Any vintage vehicle or boat should be inspected prior to purchase. Buyer responsible for hauling, all transport costs from Seattle, WA. Transport may be very inexpensive as posted on UShip as many travelers & small haulers can hook up the hitch behind their rig and off they go. This is a great deal as ASKING PRICE OF THIS BOAT is NOW just 1/2 of estimated value for final estate type of sale! Call with questions... I do collect cars & more :) 206-650-6100Thanks for L@@KING & Good Luck Bidding!

I am advertising this boat for sale, for a friend that has been building and restoring wood boats for many years. He is from the Port Huron MI area, but now resides in Ga. and continues his craft. This launch is a new custom build using a derelict 1910’s era transport launch as a pattern. The original launch was used to transport people and mail on the St Clair river to and from Harsens Island. It was found around the Alganac area and was thought to be a Chris Smith, but found out later it is not. Some said it might be from a Marine City boatyard. Who knows? The original engine and rudder were missing. It had bench seats along the sides and a starboard navigation light board with the name Redhead carved in it. He built this launch using the original stem and skeg. He also retained the original hull shape using the derelict as a pattern. The new construction consists of: Single length white oak steam bent framing Framing skinned with 1/4" Ocoume marine plywood and sealed with West, Smith’s and Z-Spar paint on interior. 3M 5200 adhesive and ½” x 3” mahogany planking on bottom and sides Mahogany planking on the decks in a beautiful Herringbone pattern Custom built interior using all solid mahogany. Shaped bench seat arms with rosettes. Flooring is ¾” to 1” mahogany boards built using dado joinery and epoxy. Spray stained and varnished. Bottom and side paint is Z-Spar with decks and interior being finished with many coats of Z-Spar Captains varnish. High quality marine upholstery, stainless steel trim, glass windshield and vintage chromed hardware. The engine is from a 1960‘s Lyman lap strake boat. It is a 4 cylinder 120 hp OMC marine engine with a conversion kit. The transmission is a Velvet Drive. Both are in good condition. Mounted gauges for RPM, Oil Pressure and Water Temperature. This engine has more power than the boat needs and easily gets it to a cruise speed of about 12 mph. This launch hull was not designed to plane or run faster. Just cruise. The trailer is tandem axle with surge brakes on the front axle. Double bunked to fit this boat. New bearings and bearing buddies. All lights work. The tires have decent tread but are old. Fine for hauling around here, but I would not feel comfortable using them for a long trip. There is no spare. The trailer came from Michigan with the derelict boat years ago. It is not titled or registered. A bill of sale will be provided. If needed, the owner can raise the boat and trailer to load on your flat bed trailer. This boat was registered in Georgia by the owner/builder in 2007, as a 2007 built Chris Craft replica. The GA issued HIN is 38R29. The registration has expired. Georgia is a non title state for boats. A Georgia Bill Of Sale will be provided. The boat is in very good condition with the exception of a couple small spots of dock rash on the wood rub rail. It has always been stored on the trailer in a closed shop. The registration numbers are made of brass and screwed on. The owner will remove them, fill the screw holes and touch up the paint if desired. I think this launch would look great with a brass, stainless or wood plate on each side for the registration numbers. It has been used in many regional ACBS boat shows with very little use otherwise. The owner/builder is a long time ACBS member. High quality materials and craftsmanship in a reliable and beautiful antique style boat. E-mail with any questions. Boat can be inspected with appointment. A ride on the lake will be provided by the owner when payment is made to him. This boat is being advertised for sale locally and this listing may be cancelled at any time. The price the owner is asking is already heavily discounted to move this boat. He will be selling several more as time permits. This fine piece of craftsmanship is being sold by the owner as a used boat with used trailer and are being sold "as is" with no warranty, liability or returns offered. I am acting to advertise this boat for sale by the owner only and I will have no part in the matters of Payment and Bill of Sale. The buyer also acknowledges and agrees to Hold Harmless the advertiser in any matters of ownership or liability. The non-refundable $300 deposit is to pay the ebay fees only, which are non-refundable to me to advertise this boat for sale by the owner.

This mahogany sidewheeler was custom built by master carpenter Guenter and operated by Ron Inman in Kemah, Texas for millionaire C.H. Coffield between 1955 and 1958. It was Coast Guard documented as the original "Texas Queen" and was the flagship of the Texas Navy. It was mainly used for running between Kemah, Texas, New Orleans and Florida, but folklore has it docked at many other ports. It was donated to Baylor University in 1968. Baylor staff operated many excursions on this unique vessel on Lake Waco. In 1970 it purchased by Frank Lord, moved to Lake Whitney and moored at the B&B restaurant, where it was used as a tour boat. The boat originally had twin Cat diesels with pneumatic transmission. Unfortunately, in 1989 it was decommissioned and turned into a floating apartment. The engines, trans, paddlewheels and flywheels were removed. The rudders, steering, three fuel tanks, water and holding tanks are still intact. It has a rear stateroom, front saloon, lavatory with shower and electric head. Up top is the pilot house with steering and controls. The paddlewheels were made the centerpiece of the walkway to the boathouse. They will go with the boat. It has a ladder that goes in front for access to the upper deck. This boat will need total restoration and either new propulsion or reinstall the paddlewheels, possibly with hydraulic motors. It does have some rotten wood on the starboard side in the saloon. It did partially sink in its custom slip back in 2003 due to a faulty water heater. This boat is 48' long, 19'9" wide, and approximately 12' in height with the smoke stacks removed. For the wood boat enthusiast, this is a real find - a one and only piece of documented history. Due to the boat's past history with Baylor University, it would be an awesome Lake Brazos tailgating showpiece! It is located at Harbor Master Marina on Lake Whitney, Texas 76691. It has been removed from the water for inspection and transport. By the way, the slip is not for sale, just the boat and paddlewheels. The trailer is also available. Please call Gary with questions 254 744 3724.

All of this sits atop a single axle bunk trailer from PolarKraft with a spare tire/wheel This boat is in fantastic shape and would require minimal work to complete. The hull is water tight and in great shape. Here are the things I would do... The straight grain fir decking could stand to have the caulking between the wood redone. (When the boat was relocated to Boise from Pennsylvania, the difference in humidity caused the caulking to shrink and pull away from the boards a bit exposing some gaps between the caulking and the wood. Minor repair) Fuel system Make sure tanks are clean, They have been in storage for many years. They were drained and cleaned before they were put in storage. Electrical system/Lights...replace the battery and ensure all bulbs are working. Motor... Windscreen... It's plexiglass. Polish it up and reinstall. Need a couple of nuts to fasten it to the deck. Water test the completed rig to ensure all is good, register and enjoy on a beautiful lake. NO RESERVE WHAT AN ADVENTURE!!! CLASSIC 1958 CHRIS CRAFT 17 ft on CUSTOM TRAILER Enter the "Trop Mignon" which means "Too Cute". Originally from Michigan. Clean title. Now in Vermont so with VT letters - fully registered through 2014 on a permanent custom trailer with recently adjusted axle, to make it a pleasure to trailer. She is a gorgeous 17 foot 1958 marine plywood Chris Craft boat that has had extensive restoration over the last several years. Thru hull exhaust. Appears to have been an early prototype because she is configured as a Sportsman with chrome everywhere. Owned by a meticulous collector. Stored indoors always on custom trailer, except for Summers. Great cruising this season. PHOTOS IN THE WATER ARE FROM THIS SEASON! Restored professionally - near mint top deck ($7,500 job) and sides ($5,000). Bottom has had 5200 added in spots that were needed. Interior has excellent leather patina including all functional chrome gauges. Hairline crack in very solid block does not impair performance. New carb, new points, new plugs. Water pump just gone thru and refurbished. Beautiful brass propeller. Beautiful split windshield, new gas tank (plastic) under two stern seats. Chris Craft bow flag. USA flag for stern with built in stern light. Professional transom letter job. Professional use of marine screws where needed. All gauges were removed, rechromed or polished as needed, and returned to dash during top deck restoration. Beautiful bow lights. Rumbles in the water like a good ol' Riva ought. Attracts attention everywhere. Trailer is custom and has a vintage look that matches the color and patina of the boat. Have towed over 1k miles without issue. Tires are fine, bearings on left side need to be repacked. Will try to get to that this week. Has an off the shelf canvas cover in blue with lattice. A thrill to drive and the only way to see the lake and mountains the way they were seen in the 1950s. Auto bilge fully functional. Extremely fuel efficient. Cruises at 2500-3000 rpms. Engine cover is made of oak with a leather top - may want to redo in mahogany. Will eventually want to add fiberglass strips to the seams on the bottom. The original fiberglass over marine wood was a new design that could be improved by reglassing the seams to over the ribs. Small crack port-side windshield just happened due to rain gathering and making cover too tight - easy fix. Horn is LOUD. Spot light in chrome is decorative only. Original inline 6 engine fully functional at 80lbs pressure. One area on side was just expertly repaired using hand planed mahogany painted over with 3M-5200. Needs a painted stripe. Overall (+++) Beautiful boat that an enthusiast would enjoy restoring to its show potential, or just having a cruising boat that looks like $1 Million! Attending to the moderate needs described above would bring it to a much higher value should you ever wish to sell her. No Spam please: feel free to call afternoons EST with any questions: 802-777-3317. Seller reserves the right to end auction early, or to sell outside of eBay. Selling AS IS and WHERE IS with no warranty implied or expressed. Freshwater use only. Has been a thrill to own. Grabs attention everywhere. Sits low to the water with the thru-hull exhaust that rumbles so splendidly. Carves through the water. Feels like you are a Kennedy. Only thing missing is a cigar. But she even has a built-in original cigar lighter.

The white paint on the wooden hull is in good condition with only minor marking from a transport tarp a few years back aft of the passenger side window (pictured) The varnished and sealed mahogany front deck and interior are in very good condition with no repairs or refinishing needed. The limited brightwork still has plenty of shine but does show some pitting as would be expected on an unrestored survivor boat. The engine is seasonally maintained as needed and reported to be in running order, ready for the season according to the owner. If you're in the market for a classic wooden runabout, this 1961 Cruisers 302 is going to be hard to beat! Priced right for the market, reach out today with questions or to set up a private showing as it's sure to draw interest fast! Stock #340937 BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE 302!! ALL THE FEATURES!! READY TO TURN HEADS!! This 1961 Cruisers 302 is a prime example of the era of classic wooden boats and is impressive from the moment you walk up to it. The pride of ownership shines through, while being maintained over the years, the boat presents as an original survivor with a period-correct motor and matching trailer. The split bench seating and simple dash layout will have you enjoying a carefree lake cruise in no time and hopefully, you're not shy as she commands a lot of attention at any dock! The rear area has no built-in seating but the seller has frequently placed teak deck chairs for additional seating but they are keeping the set they currently have and are not including them with the boat. The custom-made bimini allows the captain some standing room behind the wheel and shades the whole interior of the boat. Being a wooden boat, the hull does require soaking and swelling each season to get back to watertight and that has not been done this season. Reason for selling is getting a boat to do the great loop.

The owner has done an excellent job of restoring and preserving this beauty. Seller has windshields. They are wrapped and cushioned for storage. There are 3 spares for a total of 5; Each side is counted as one. Although some seams needed a little attention, there were no soft spots in the floor and no noticeable crack below the water line.
