For Sale: 1978 Egg Harbor. This Egg Harbor for sale. I got the boat a while back. The boat has new shafts, new through haul fittings. I also have done a lot of work to the boat. I have done boat repair for many years, I have had bigger boats then this one. The repairs that I had done would have cost a lot of money, if the work was done by a boat yard. I did use the best products on the market to do the repairs. The boat is in good shape, the boat is about 75% restored. It will need some more work to be complete, to get the boat finished. The boat does run well, at this time just the wiring is unhooked, I was rewiring the boat. I have gotten some done, but will need more to finish the job. I do have many photos of the before, and after work. I will be glad to send you the pictures. for a boat that can be bought for a fair price. If you are looking for a boat that you do not mind fixing up then this is for you. If you are just looking for a good deal and want something fixed up then this is not for you. I do have copies of the boat yard bill from 2011 and 2012 to prove the work that was done, as well as the photos I took the before and after photos of the work I did. 1984 Ocean Yachts 46 Super Sport powered by 6-71T Detroits ( both in house rebuilds with close to 1000 hours ( 2010 and 2011)) , full new enclosure ( 2011 ) and newer 4 blade props ( 2011 ) . Murray Bros fighting chair (decent condition) . Boat is in water and ready to go ! Engines run excellent as does the generator . Pneumatic shift / throttles . 1971 Slickcraft SC-285 It is a 1971 Slickcraft SC-285 Hard Top. This boat was built at the Slickers plant in Holland MI. and has not left Lake Michigan her entire life. It is 28.5' in length with a 10.5' Beam and a 3' draft. The dry weight is listed at 8050 lbs. It has a sturdy and SOLID fiberglass deep V-hull; very sturdy when trolling or running and can safely handle the snotty conditions that can spring up on the lake. The twin inboard 302 (215 HP) Mercruiser engines have just over 500 hours on a rebuild with 2500 hours in total. The previous owner of 23 years was a mechanic for the Chicago Fire Department and was meticulous with maintenance.
