The boat looks to be in useable condition. The boat is 45 years old, so buyers should not expect a shiny, perfect boat. The boat has a commercial grade finish, which is made to last. There are some areas of rust, gel coat cracks, and wood rot, however nothing that appeared to be a major issue. There is growth on the bottom, indicating new anti-fouling paint should be applied. Stock #365190 Very nice 1978 Crusader 34 dive boat! Caterpillar 3208T power! ******MOTIVATED SELLER BRING OFFERS**** This boat is great platform for diving. It has been custom made to give divers plenty of room for gear. With all of the open deck space, the boat could also be used for commercial fishing, lobster, transport, cargo and crabbing. THE BOAT DOES NOT HAVE A "COI", however the next owner can apply for one with the USCG. It is powered with a turbocharged Caterpillar engine. The boat has a heavy gel coat finish with a course grit non-slip surface. The cabin can be used for storage and there is a head.

We sailed this legendary blue water cruiser from St Croix to New York city in late spring 2020. We then began stripping her down for a refit. Now partners have moved away and the boat needs to change hands. The hull is amazing. One look and you know she will sail anywhere in the world, and quickly. The center cockpit design is wonderful to sail and the aft captains cabin and private head are a very welcome feature. She's been repowered with a rebuild Perkins 4-164 that runs like a tank, we averaged 0.78 gallons per hour on the last crossing. Comes with all standing and moving rigging, some is old and some is less old, but it's all there. Same with the sails. I believe we have 90% of the deck hardware as well. A couple of the stanchions need replacing and the traveler needs to be rebuilt. All winches are in tact and most recently rebuilt. We have stripped the bulkheads from the V-berth to the salon, as well as the chainplate stringers. New stringers have been begun but need to be finished. Needs forward bulkheads done, floor stringers and flooring, fuel and water tankage, and could use new electrical. We have three batteries aboard but our plan was to completely overhaul the electrical system so thats what we recommend. You can rebuild to the original floorplan or go custom for your intended use as was our plan. There is a 40-45 gal fuel tank in her now, originally she was set up for 117 gal fuel and 132 gal water. Decks have been sanded and patched, ready for paint. Portlights have been removed and we began cleaning and refitting them. They will need to be cleaned up and refit. The Port side caprail was removed and will need to be replaced. The boat comes with a lot of solid mahogany, marine ply, and MDO for rebuilding. This boat is PERFECT for you if: - You want a bulletproof and fast blue water, open ocean cruiser - You have more know-how than cash - You are comfortable fiberglassing We literally have most of the material on board for the rebuild. You will need tools and a place to keep her on the hard for a coupe months while you finish her up.

The boat is clearly advertised as a project boat needing work. This boat should only be considered by someone who can do most of the work themselves. The boat has potential, but all systems should be checked for functions or replacement. The engines run, but look like they are in dire need for some work. The salon looks like a well worn charter boat with plenty of stories. The cabins are used for rough storage and should be gutted. The galley does not look functional except for storage. Stock #392087 Fish Catching Legend!!! Rigged for the big ones!!! ****SELLER IS MOTIVATED BRING OFFERS**** ****LOCAL DELIVERY MAYBE POSSIBLE**** This sportfish has great potential for the next owner. The boat has fished the South Florida waters for decades and is in need of a new owner to get her back to her glory. The seller is retiring from fishing, however, he has been taking a few trips a month with the boat in its current condition. There are certainly a lot of cosmetic issues and the port engine runs, but overheats, however, the fish do not seem to mind when you are bringing them on the deck. The classic boat has massive outriggers, a huge on deck live well, a fighting chair, and heavy-duty rod holders. Feel free to climb to the top of the tower for the best spotting. The upper controls are not functional. The boat was recently hauled out and bottom painted. The boat is currently insured for charters. Both engines fire right up and seem to run smoothly. The port engine will overheat after running for a while. The captain has been running on one engine and fires up the port engine for maneuvering. The captain has faith in the boat and may deliver locally. The bridge is fully functional and has a VHF and sonar. The exterior is still presentable, however the cabin could use a complete restoration. The engine compartment is in need of some cleaning and attention. Reason for selling is no longer using.
